A proper local Weather spoons, all the expected ales and food but with a real feel of customers who live round the corner. Friendly bar staff, well run, clean tidy and welcoming.

This wetherspoons is very handy for the bus stop that's why we visited it , the staff were very good the food was fine the place was very busy for a Friday lunch time, but my one thing, I think it needs a spruce up it looks a little tired

Food and drink ok, but when really busy staff struggling with clearing tables, even saw someone clearing their table and wiping over with a cloth so they had a clean table. When the waitress brought my food there were about10 glasses and 2 dirty plates on the table, she just dumped my food on the clear corner of the table and left me surrounded with clutter.

10 of us went in last night at 7pm to celebrate Burn's Day only to be told that none of the special meals promoted for Burn's Week were available. No apologies were given. We were simply told in an offhand manner that we should have gone in earlier. Such a shame about the staff's couldn't care less attitude.

Step inside! The pub used to be a Burton's men store, at first it seemed very "working man's club". Loud and lots of beer flowing. But I have to be fair, everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves and after a while it became quite comfortable. It's definitely a local pub for the area, No complaints, the food was good, the pub clean and the staff decent. If you like a Wetherspoons, it's more than OK!

What can you say good beer reasonably priced and the food is good too enjoyed a couple of breakfasts in there and coffee and tea is unlimited refills. My wife really likes the Eggs Benedict. She said "we've payed a lot more and had worse." So on the whole not bad at all.

My only concern is whenever i visit with my youngest Ben he always gets asked for ID. If he forgets his passport he is refused a drink. There cannot be that many managers and he will be 21 in September. But we always enjoy the food.
