Great pub, nice service, good atmosphere. Good to know in advance that it doesn't do food. Gets very busy, very quickly on a Thursday summer evening. Great for after-work drinks.

So friendly! ❤ Very welcoming, lovely staff. Chilled and ambient decor. Both tables and cute little booths. Great range of beers. Interesting little cocktail menu... the salted caramel espresso martini is the best drink I ever tasted. Highly Recommend.

All the beers, no nobs, enjoyable ambiance despite not being able to hear a word my friends were saying all night. Add some soft furnishings at the back please to dampen down the overwhelming background noise. Also do away with the table service, takes 20 mins to get your first drink and can never see what is on tap properly on the ipad

This is one of my favourite pubs as there is always a good selection of beers and a good atmosphere. However on Saturday night they only had two staff working! The poor waitress was run ragged and we had to wait 20 minutes for our first drink. Please sort this out! So an update on my previous review. Although covid restrictions have been lifted, this pub still seems to be insisting on table service. This is annoying for two reasons, firstly that typically you have to wait 10 - 15 minutes for your drinks to arrive, and secondly you feel obligated to tip as the option always comes up on their card machine. What happened to good old-fashioned going to the bar and buying your drinks?

Still one of the best boozers in South Manchester. Solid range of keg and cask ales. Good takeout options. Nice staff. Dog friendly. Good place to slope off to with a paper. Decent outdoor seating. Very clean toilets. Nice mix of locals and occasionals. Snack range could be a lot better. Keg beers could be a bit cheaper. Whoever decided to do away with the cheeseboards should be marched into the sea.

I really liked this place on a Saturday evening, it had a great selection of keg beers as well as cask. The staff were all happy and friendly and there was a good atmosphere of good-natured revelry. Some comfy sofas for lounging and an outdoor area at the front for milder days and smoking.

Good little neighbourhood boozer. Always get good pint of real ale - always we'll kept and tasting its best. Cask marque. Good snacks, nice outdoor seating area. Jazz on Sundays. Can get a bit cliquey. Staff know their beer well enough. Good whiskey selection too. Still go every now and then, but not always first choice.

Excellent choice of beers and snacks. I am always amazed this place isn't packed to the rafters, that said if you don't get a seat there is little or no alternative standing room. They always have 4 interesting and varied draught ales and a few more on tap and in bottles. Atmosphere is warm and friendly which is improved by some soft hangings in what was previously a very loud space.

Right next door to the Nip & Tipple. This place has a range of beers and bar snacks. The prices are average and it's never short of punters. They've got a small bit out front if you fancy getting some fresh air. They have some very unique carved wood menus and always have nice glasses.

I used to live just a short stroll from here so it served as my local for a few years. Sadly I have moved but still pop by whenever Im in the area. Great, ever-changing selection of real ales. Various high quality barsnacks available too, like wasabi beans and mini kabana sausages, and you can pick your favourite four for a platter deal. Decor is simple and functional and there's a nice beer garden at the front which catches afternoon and early evening sunshine. On hot days they open up the entire front of the building to let breezes through! Always busy, with a very mixed crowd. The suburbs is the new black!
