I've been a regular here for years. Affordable, nice beer and a good house rum👌🏻. Nice atmosphere, lots of familiar faces, plenty of small side rooms and lots of beer garden space. Unfortunately no pool table anymore but there is still a darts board.

A local Holts' pub very dog friendly nestled on the outskirts of P-TOWN opposite Heaton Park. Very friendly staff and regular patrons very helpful. Inside there's the fully stocked bar with rooms off it all with TVs showing the latest sports event. Outside plenty of space either on the tables in the sunshine 🌞 along Bury old Rd or under the cover of one of the two sheltered areas, one just outside the pub and the larger one with plenty of seating just a few steps away and both with TVs and the further one also has outdoor heating.

We used this pub for my dads wake. I was very surprised by the inside as I had never been before. The pub has a great history which was shared to us by the landlady and has a few small rooms inside which are lovely nooks for family gatherings, however, on this occasion we sat outside under the canopy in the garden. What an unexpected surprisingly lovely place, they put the outdoor heaters on for us and we had a really nice afternoon. They don't make their own food but the landlady sorted out a buffet for us at a brilliant price, in fact I have no idea how she did it for the money but it was a lovely spread and enjoyed by everyone. They couldn't do enough for us and it made a sad day much better to bare. I would highly recommend the Ostrich for an event, big or small, and thank the staff for everything they did.

Fantastic pub. Great staff, good selection of beers and spirits. Really friendly atmosphere kept entertained all night by DJ Shaggy. Unbelievable beer garden. Well worth a visit.

Comfortable, old school, drinking establishment. Friendly/cozy - I don't think they know what trendy means (which is good). Massive pub garden with quite a lot of covered seating - if it's not windy sitting out is comfortable.

A proper local pub full of regulars. Great selection of Holt's beer and more. Beer garden to the rear looks like a meadow. Kids and dogs friendly. Lovely landlords, nice bar staff. Very reasonable prices. A good stop before or after visiting Heating Park, which you can see from the pub windows. Strongly recommend.

Great little pub opposite Heaton park,landlord/lady very friendly and welcoming. The pub has 3 smallish rooms which are nice and homely,a pool room and a jukebox. Outside there is a large garden with plenty of seating and area for children to play. I try to call each time I'm back in Manchester,all in all 10 out of 10 for a good cozy atmosphere!
