Good place to stop for a drink whilst walking the Rochdale canal. Cash only, no food, traditional Lees brewery ales

Really lovely local pub on the canal bank - friendly staff. One gripe is no card machine

Traditional no-frills pub next to the canal with rural views to one side, serving J W Lees cask bitter amongst other things. No food apart from bar snacks. Cash only, no card payment. Nice place for a pint on the towpath as part of a canal walk.

First time I'd visited, took my new dog The pub is a Dog friendly pub, but very clean, sat on a canal, with a lovely lock Will deffo be visiting again amd look forward to next year summer, to sit outside and chill

Lovely boozer next to the Rochdale Canal. Cash only which is a disappointment as there is nowhere nearby to get cash (the garage cash machine breaks down often). Would be good for them to get a sum up or similar card reader to pay for drinks.

This is a John willy lees pub small but clean and very friendly Got some proper floor fillers northern soul tracks on the juke box Car park approx 50 yards away really short walk as pub is on roundabout Will we return most definitely 👍 well worth a try

Friendly staff. The benches outside overlooks the canal- very nice to sit out and feed the ducks on a nice day. Lovely interior decor with pool table.

Easy to pass by but that would be your loss. Very good pint. Friendly locals. Welcoming staff . Backs onto canal so a good place to sit outside in the evening. Walkers, cyclists children , and dog friendly. Does not do food apart from crisps. Definitely recommend in you want a drink and to relax.

Love this little pub, it's a proper hidden gem that really isn't hidden. It's just one of those places that you drive past without a thought, but you should. Nothing fancy, and no food it's just a proper British pub. Always a great atmosphere whenever we call, that welcoming that we try and work our weekend dog walking into making sure we have to pass it at some stage. Any excuse to call in..

Like a proper little British country pub on the canal. You can sit and Havre a great pint watching the ducks over rolling fields at the back, or stay snug in the pretty little pub inside. Very friendly and a place to have a safe friendly and quality beverage.
