I first went in November last year, fron the moment I walked through the door i knew i was gonna love it . The atmosphere and people are really friendly, music is gr8 played by wonderful DJ's : 3SoundFamily.

The best music at the weekends...Hewan Clarke on Thursday's, Splinter Crew on Fridays my Favourite is Sunday's with the legendary DJ Persian, Krishan, Cristalize, Jeff, Keith (3 Sound) and Guests Like Wizzy Dan, Deelite, Genius, and DJMello and more...its a great vibe!!

As always this review is honest and fair in my humble opinion. I'm not employed by this joint, and im not in any way paid to write this review. Im very familiar with this general area and many of its long time residents, so my perspective is in no way a blinkered one. Upon first entering this place (Which i would say has disabled access, or it could be vandalism) I was expecting to hear the theme tune from one of those Clint Eastwood "The Good the bad and the ugly" movies. (No this is not a description of its regulars or is it ?).You get the feeling as if your under scrutiny(but why i thought).There is a decent mixture of music, Reggae, soul, Dolly parton, even the Sex pistols and the Smiths etc being played by a DJ( Nahh not really). As i understand the music varies depending upon which DJ and which night you stumble in there (before eventually stumbling back out), Decent liquid was being consumed, pool being played, didnt see a dart board although the lack of one here might be a good idea. Ample seating, Lots of laughter (err... no not really),and no one approached me with their coat lining ladened with the local dodgy bargains. This public house has been in existance a good while and seen the surrounding areas go through many changes during its lifetime.There is a general "lived in" feel to this place and a good interior cosmetic facelift would do wonders for "pulling in" more friendly visitors which would probably do wonders here. However To be fair I didnt see any violent outbursts and the bar staff were "friendly enough". I spent about an hour in there (that was long enough for me). Not sure if they regularly serve food other than the usual packet snacks etc. There is Reasonable "onstreet" parking right outside. In my opinion this place will suit some "Wha gwaan", but perhaps not others "Tally ho". Only the public can decide. Do Pay a visit i say, its an "ok joint" but dont forget your "poncho and stetson".
