The atmosphere created by really great staff and a great manager called Aaron have made it my favourite pub or the last 6 years.... the food is great quality and the staff approachable and resilient and make you feel welcome. The beer is great and I always enjoy my visit whether a short one or occasionally a longer one. It serves a diverse community, where I used to live, and its a great pub

Nice large pub right outside Trafford bar tram stop. Good match day experience as the pub only allows only united fans in and has bouncers on the doors and outside to make sure things are safe. Outside area itself is large enough for the pub size and also includes a car park for those driving. The pub itself is also only 15 mins away from the stadium. It has good United decore inside too makes it very homely. The beer prices are very fair too, really couldn't grumble at the prices. A must for united fans before the game

It's a good experience during our stay, the lady at the bar table whom served me and my husband was nice. I was asked if I need a chair to sit down by the lady whom served at the bar table, and she grabbed a chair and let me sit down. It was an additional service I received, and I was impressive. I will be back to this pub in future for sure.

On sundya Got spoken to by one of the guys who works as a cleaner witch is also a regular drinker in there he rudely told me and my girlfriend to shut up witch I felt was very rude but all the proper staff that work there are all really friendly

Stopped here pre match for the rugby grand final. Apart from plastic pots it was a decent visit. Service was fast and the staff friendly. Beer was ok too. They had trouble with the cask but soon sorted that. You need a match day ticket to get in when United are playing.

Local pub mainly catering for United fans so especially busy on match days. They serve food, though we didn't eat there, and has a decent selection of beers. Jukebox and pool table and darts board for customer use too. Staff helpful

Very family friendly as seen a yound family enjoying there self's. I have been here twice and very perlite staff, food, I had the breakfast pie but couldn't eat the pie was to hard but everything else was really very testy I would order food again. Had a fantastic time out here with my brother

Having just moved to the area , i came in for a bite to eat and a drink , i have to say the food combo i had was the best ever even though it is not on the menu i was told by great bloke called Tommy who works there that it is the chefs speciality so you need to ask and how right he was , homemade chips, the chicken wings cooked to perfection and the garlic bread and cheese was to die for . i believe the chef was a lovely lady called Stella and even came out of the kitchen to ask if the food was to my satisfaction (stella knows that she does the best combo in manchester) and if i needed anything to drink and then went to the bar for me . I highly recommend and will be coming back again very soon thanks to Stella and her amazing combo a well deserved £5 tip look forward to seeing you all again.

I have been frequenting the Tollgate now for just over 5 years and i can quite honestly say the Combo is an absolute taste sensation, but you won't find this culinary delight on the new menu, o no!, it's on the Chefs Special board and quite rightly so!...it's one of Old Traffords hidden delights!... Mein Host, the Head Chef, the lovely and extremely talented Stella really has excelled herself here with this one, the Chips are home made just like the ones your Mum used to make!...the Garlic Bread is to die for and the Goujons simply melt in the mouth...cooked to perfection. Me and my significant other normally start off with the Tomato and Basil Soup which wouldn't be out of place in a top quality dining establishment akin those you'd find in the Town Centre but less than half the price and especially when accompanied with the fresh home made baguette and then we tuck into the aforementioned Combo...she can't get enough of it!...Stella really is a one off...she can't do enough for you..table service with a smile and she's really polite...a true lady...i even ring ahead before i arrive and there's always a cracking pint of Stella Artois waiting for me on the bar...please keep up the good work Stella the place just wouldn't be the same without you and your warm and friendly attitude...I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the combo and soup to the most fussiest of eaters..trust me you won't be disappointed...just ask for Stella and say you would love to try the Combo...but be warned...one taste and you'll be hooked!....

The Tollgate is the best pub in Manchester on a match day. Easy enough to find too if you jump off the metro at Trafford bar. It's never too busy to move like a lot of the pubs closer to Old Trafford and there's a great open beer garden which is perfect on a warm day during the season. A decent chilled out pub just 10 minutes from the ground, nice and quiet on non match days too!

(Translated) I guess it's a local putic. Operation but nice and prices favorable to Manchester. Unfortunately, the quality of beer corresponds to that and the appearance of the toilets as well. They are very clean but in poor condition. Not one door can be closed. (Original) Asi je to taková místní putika. Obsluha ale milá a ceny na Manchester příznivé. Bohužel kvalita piva tomu odpovídá a vzhled toalet také. Jsou sice čisté ale v dezolátním stavu. Ani jedny dveře nejdou zavřít.
