The pub is great. Great atmosphere but what makes the place mega, is the staff they have. One of the barmen named Adam made my night! Very pleasant, explained some drinks to me very enthusiastically, took the time to add the personal touch and provided a very prompt service to the whole bar! Will definitely be returning and letting everyone know it's the place to be...

The 4 of us had breakfast here this morning, it was quite busy with a little bit of a wait for a food table but we were seated in the warmth out of the snow whilst we waited for a table and were quickly seated not long after! The food was definitely worth the little wait, the veggie breakfasts were delicious and having the options for non-dairy milk is an added bonus. Our server was absolutely lovely too, didn’t grab his name but he was great. Can’t wait to come back!

We fancied a drink after a pleasant afternoon eating in Cutting room square so wandered down Oldham street and this place seemed to have atmosphere which it did. But beware if you want a large drink of white wine- check the menu before ordering! Our large glass of Sauvignon blanc was £9.50!! Whilst it had a good flavour, not sure it was worth the price! And the toilets are very stinky too.

Ate here today with my friend for lunch. Had the special - 1 x main with 1 x side for £10. Short ribs, Octopus. Sweet potato fries & roast sweet potato. Ordered bottle of wine as well. All very nice but once wine was finished asked if we wished to order another, and when we said no thanks we were asked are you sure? When we still said no the bill was presented and staff waited until we paid. Very disappointing end to a nice meal, it was as though they couldn't wait for us to leave as we didn't want another drink

Omg,just went into wilsons while visiting manchester and had one of the best meals,i ordered the rib and mash,not really expecting much as it is just rib and mash but what came out really exceeded what i would have expected from most places,the mash was perfect and the gravy complimented it wonderfully but the meat falling off the bone was outstanding,would give it more stars if poss,would recommend highly

Great easy going bar in the heart of the Northern Quarter. Always manage to find a seat even at the weekend. Good choice of beers and spirits 🍻🍹🍸🍷 Staff always helpful and friendly 😊

Brilliant food, great drinks, but very disinterested wait staff. Multiple times we went up to order food or drinks, and were just ignored while they cleaned the bar. Food was ordered, which was brilliant, but came out in two batches 20 mins apart. So half our party had finished before the rest received their food. No apologies were offered. We were also overcharged for food, which we were then offered a free drink to rectify. If they sorted this out, it would be a great venue.

Been a few times when it was The Patron so was hoping the food was as fresh and tasty. They have lightened the decor and it has a nice atmosphere. Lots of great art too! We went for the Eggs Benedict and full breakfast. The eggs were done to perfection. The breakfast had all the usual but cooked well...seasoned and tasty. The coffee was a good quality - and from what I could see of food being served we will be back again soon. The fresh flatbread looked so good. well done to the new owners who haven't ripped the soul out of a popular eatery.

Although the restaurant was busy it was by no means full (over 6 empty tables) and yet the host told us to wait at the bar to be seated for brunch. We asked if we could order drinks at the bar but sit on one of the empty tables until our table was made available. They were happy to accommodate us. Once brunch arrived the food was delicious and VERY well priced. A table of 6 we ordered: veggie full breakfast, pancakes with syrup and bacon, full breakfast, and more.... Served by a lovely woman (can't remember her name).

The place looks nice (edgy as my daughter put it). We popped in for lunch. The first thing was the wait to be served. There was only one person looking after all the tables when we arrived. Then there was a wait for food. My daughter ordered a veggie breakfast which was good and I ordered the smashed avocado and poached eggs (or so I thought, turned out to be egg). The food came out at the same time however it was obvious mine had been waiting a while. The egg was luke warm at best and as a result of waiting was over-cooked. For 8 quid I expected better and possibly 2 eggs. Might have been edging towards 4 stars but the toilets were like an old 70s pub and smelt like them too.

I think I was there on a PARTICULARLY busy Sunday morning for breakfast where it seemed overwhelmed. We waited about an hour for food (and were on our way to catch a train so it started getting stressful). I think they just didn't have enough staff on for the volume of customers. That said, our waiter, Stavros, was the nicest guy in the world and really went out of his way for us and others. I just think our meeter-greeter could have warned us that there would be a looooong wait for service. When food arrived it was fine (I only ordered eggs on toast, though the Full English's I saw served looked pretty damned good). That said, never trying to eat there again as it seems very badly managed. Employ more staff yer tight gits!

Not as good as it used to be before thectaje over. Used to accommodate more for the people coming in for a few drinks. Now they are more concentrated on people eating in. Need to go back to the great atmosphere they used to have where they had live music both upstairs and downstairs for free with great beer. Shame they are now concentrating on the food market.
