Really great visit. Cocktails were unbelievable and Leon, the general manager, was kind enough to give us a couple of his works-in-progress on the house. Wonderful ambience and the staff are lovely. Will keep going back.

Great little bar. Well hidden away if you don't know what you're looking for. We managed to get in without a booking but it's recommended to book in advance, staff turned away a lot of people in the hour we were sat. Service was a little slow but nothing too bad for a busy Saturday night. Wish we had more time to try more from the menu!

Great little city centre bar. Located away from the usual plastic bar chains. Formerly the 39 steps which was a sanctuary for the well to do and celebrities. Wood has the unique offering of table service and the staff are very knowledge on the offering of alcoholic beverages, especially cocktails. Great ambiance and the refit is very fitting. 👍👍😎 I can understand you are selling the bar as a grown up venue but to turn away a father and 2 kids at 4pm on a Friday when your only other customers was a middle-aged man & woman.......

One of Manchesters best, hidden cocktail bars! If its not for the wide variety of cocktails broken down into sparkling, fruit, vegetable and strong - made to perfection; its the amazing staff here. Dom, wee Meg and tall Meg bring great personality, experience & knowledge to the table every time and nothing is too much trouble. There is a wide varity of craft beers, 1 craft-draft frequently changed and spirits that can't fit on any menu (yes.. There's plenty of gins, Whiksy, bourbon etc.. to name a few). Atmosphere is relaxed with a DJ on during weekends. Great for private functions too.

Lovely for a small session, asked to leave after a few because we didn't suit the atmosphere which wasn't very nice. We weren't too drunk but there were 4 of us so I think it's more of a smaller place for quiet drinks rather than lively. The cocktail making was stupendous though, couldn't fault it and the staff were lovely too.

Finally a place with knowledgable staff, serving good cocktails which aren’t full of sugar. And in a nice environment. Only criticism is the DJ, the place lends itself to being an intimate venue with table service, there is no room for dancing so why make people have to shout over the tunes to have a conversation? People can drink and have a good time without blaring beats...

LOVE this bar! went on a Thursday and it was very quiet - it is a 'secret' bar but hope it gets a little busier (just not too busy!) staff were really friendly and helpful, drinks were delicious. Would definitely recommend and visit again. Prices are standard city centre cocktail prices.

Cocktail were intense and interesting. Very unique flavours not to everyones taste but worth a try. £10 per drink but excellent service and the sort of environment that's worth paying for. Water on arrival and table service created a very enjoyable afternoon visit.

A great selection of cocktails, expertly put together. I'd recommend anything on the menu, it will all be good. It can be a touch hard to find so keep your eyes peeled, it's worth the hunt down.
