Reviews of The Cock
Lovely local pub with the best food in Stony! Great staff and good size outdoor seating when the weather allows. Most importantly (for us) dog friendly!
Great place to stay. Staff very friendly and room was cosy and comfortable overlooking the high street. Breakfast set me up for the day
My now wife and I had our wedding here from the vows to the wedding breakfast and the party. Couldn't have picked a better venue, the staff were fantastic and the food was great too. Would recommend to anyone who wants to book their wedding or if they just want a good old knees up.
Visited stony Stratford to visit an old friend, so booked into the hotel. We were only in for one night but, would definitely stay again. Staff helpful and friendly on arrival. Room was amazing with a view of the high street, very clean and comfortable(had great nights sleep). Good facilities in room(TV, tea and coffee, fan, hair dryer) and WiFi also. Water pressure in shower a little low but, not enough to spoil visit
Quaint charming hotel. Staff were amazing could not do enough for you. Definitely well worth a visit. Thank you for making our weekend so very special and memorable
Lovely night sleep, stayed here for an event at Silverstone and found car parking at rear very convenient. Lovely room in the courtyard however bathroom could maybe do with updating - and maybe a more through clean (used razor in bin).
Staff were so lovely, friendly and helpful. We stayed the night and rooms were comfy (and cool in the hot weather!) And breakfast very sufficient ;) Would recommend
All you would expect from an old coaching inn, sloping creaky floors, heavy doors and old but serviceable furniture and fittings. There were some areas needing attention eg. Store room door on the corridor hanging off its hinge, broken lampshade, damp damage on room ceiling, loose fittings in the ensuite, over mirror light had one of two lamps out toilet that needs pumping to flush it. Had to run hot tap for up to 2 minutes to get hot water out.Signs of neglect in need of a handyman.
However the staff were attentive and friendly although our cooked breakfast got forgotten one morning and after a prompt it arrived only tepid.
Management need to take a walk round room by room and give them a thorough check over.
Very nice place to sit in or out. Only disappointing thing is that they turn the coffee machine off at 9.00 pm. Not everyone drinks alcohol & it would have been nice to have a coffee after a meal!!
