Reviews of The New Inn

A friendly local pub that gets very busy.
Parking available , although do be aware this gets full at the peak times.
An outside garden at the front looking over the canal.
A small enclosed garden at the back too..
Dogs allowed inside the pub.
A large varied menu, with breakfasts being served most of the day.
The meals are hearty and big, you won't be leaving hungry. They're excellent value for money.
A great place to visit for lunch !

Great place to stop for a bite to eat.
Really good menu selection. Great pricing and the staff were wonderful.
The reason for a down grade on stars was because I asked for mushy peas and got garden and my custard on my pudding was stone cold.
Btw the steak pie was huge 😳
Would I go back? Yes probably.
Check out the 2 for a tenner menu. Not bad if you fancy a late lunch or early evening meal.

Came for an evening meal. Called beforehand to see if we needed to book & the person said no need. When we arrived they had reserved us a table! Food was good quality, fresh vegetables & good portions. Good selections of drinks, lovely atmosphere with plenty of outdoor seating & tables with a small car park too

They say the people make a place and when it comes to The New Inn that certainly is the case. The staff go out of their way to make sure you have a great time.
The food is great and is priced well, the drinks are clean and tastes great.
It is not one of these new gastro fancy pubs and I wouldn't have gone if it was, it doesn't pretend to be. If you want a good old fashioned pub, where the staff and the people treat you like family and are welcoming, this is the pub for you.

Lovely date night at The New Inn. We had dinner out in the pub garden,it was lovely! 😊

Wow what a lovely Sunday roast, 10 / 10 for the amount of tasty beef alone, very tasty home cooked dinner, traditional quirky pub, and the staff were very attentive. Pop in after a long canal walk, we will be coming back. Oh and good value ❤️

Our first time on a barge holiday so didn't know what to expect. We moored up for our second night at the bottom of the garden at the New Inn. We went to check if this was ok and were greeted by the landlady who was most helpful and said we were fine to moor there and if we needed anything just ask. We booked a table for Sunday dinner. The food was fresh and all home made a rarity these days. We were so impressed we booked for breakfast the next morning. Yet again we were impressed with what was delivered to our table. The mega breakfast was unbelievable at just £7.95 including a bottomless cup of coffee or tea. I would like to say on behalf of myself and my crew a massive thank you for making us feel so welcome and providing us with such good food.

We parked the barge at the bottom of the garden and was met with a friendly welcome.
Good choice of beers and fantastic food.
Everything you want from a pub.
Would certainly recommend this place.

Popped in for lunch last Saturday. Cracking old British pub/restaurant. Right on the canal with a nice big beer garden. Big menu with some great choices. I would recommend the pie, big with plenty of meat in the filling. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

Outside space is great. Pub so much better since change is management and it looks loved. Staff very friendly
