I love Alvino's. They do some of the most original cocktails that I've come across along with some really good beers too. It always looks closed from the outside, but it's well worth a visit, it's a little pricey, but well worth it.

Great beers and cocktails. Wonderful service from the staff. Nice atmosphere and a good range of music played, if some time's to loudly on certain nights of the week. They also do great coffees and lacquer coffees. It is also attracts an older age group as you are made welcome. I speak from experience as I am one of the older age group.

Small but perfectly formed grunge style bar. We sat outside at the pavement tables and it was a really pleasant evening and really enjoyed the experience.

All about the cocktails for me. They have a huge selection and they're delicious. A bit bonkers, but delicious. There aren't any 'classics' like a sex on the beach or cosmo but they're extremely well thought out. Atmosphere is always great. Staff always friendly. Highly recommended.

Really nice place for having a drink, whether alcohol or coffee, and being able to chat to your friends and still be heard! Staff are nice and friendly too. They've even got a pinball machine if you feel like playing it!

The best custom cocktails in Newcastle. Not necessarily the best classic cocktails but 100% the best custom cocktails. They have a real flair for presentation and the atmosphere here is sensational. The bar is separated over 3 floors with bars on the first and the third. The dedication to the craft is evident and you will have a decent experience in this bar. I'm thoroughly impressed. It's not expensive for what you receive.

A fantastic place spanning three floors in the heart of Newcastle. The space has been made the most of, and there are plenty of cozy nooks to sit and drink in, as well as plenty of space for larger social gatherings. The outside area upstairs is heated and perfect for sitting outside but feeling like it's inside. The menu is diverse and delicious, as well as being creatively displayed as a prescription pack! Definitely will return for my next dose!

Really cool bar with fantastic decor. If the 80's was your era then you need to visit this place. The cocktail menu is based on an Argos catalogue and has to win the most original menu ever. Men's toilets are covered in 80's magazine covers and there is a Kiss pinball machine. Very different and quirky

I went to Alvino's some years ago, so my review is based on the hope that it hasn't changed. I had a really great time there - good booze and nice cocktails. It was a weekend, so very lively and good music. Deceptively large, but doesn't feel like an impersonal aircraft hanger. Great night.

[Prior to Lockdown] Delicious cocktails and mocktails, some one the best in Newcastle. Even if the service area can be a little cramped, it gives an exciting atmosphere and the staff remain attentive and entertaining.

Quaint little place with multiple floors and a terrace. We go here for the cocktails and the selection is amazing, even better if you go on a weekday you can get 2 for £9.95 from a selection on the menu (which includes about 20-30) and you can mix and match which is even better. I would recommend the Alice in rasberryland or crowdpleaser for others like me who like a sweet drink where you can't really taste the alcohol, if you want stronger knock your socks of then the walking dead and wrumpy pumpy are good shouts.

Quaint and quirkey with really greeeeat bar staff, especially the tall, dark haired sexy guy with the tattoos... feel guilty over this review, because the only reason for 3/5, is (1) drinks (cocktails) a bit weak/watery and (2) the music was ace 80's classics, but so loud you couldn't even hear person next to you. No reason for maxing out the decibels like this. Turn it DOWN a bit! (28th Dec - 9.45pm).
