Reviews of Arch 2 Brewpub Ouseburn
D. M.
Lively brewpub that shares a space with Indian food outlet Thali Tray next door. You can order food and drink from both places to consume at the same table. Good range of beers on keg, (mainly their own with a guest on my visit) and in the fridge. No cask which is a bit of a shame. If you scan the QR code on tables you can view the menu to be able to see the full range, but order at the bar as occasionally the menu is not fully up to date as to whether something has gone out of stock.

Fantastic food, tasty vegan options, good drinks and friendly staff. Highly recommended

We really enjoyed our evening here - excellent curry, best I've had in ages! A good selection of ales and cocktails, with a fun atmosphere around the firepits and our bartender George had astounding knowledge 👌🏻
J. C.
I came for a meal and left as a friend of George who didn't just deliver an excellent service but I left feeling like I didn't want too, I also have never left a bar with such intrinsic appreciation of what alea and cocktails they have to offer.
I will be recommending FISHES.. HELL IF A COCKTAIL. Guys smashed it.
Thanks George again, great guy.

Very friendly vibe, less manic on a Saturday than other ouseburn venues! Very good selection of beers (as to be expected) but also spirits and wines. Lovely courtyard area, nice relaxing space. Food from thali tray is lush too - very reasonably priced and good portions. Onion bhajis are ridiculously tasty...

What an absolute pleasure
Met an Irish fella called Michael I didn't bring my bank card presuming I could use Google pay. Unfortunately with the current climate it was table app service.
Not only was I served beer but the only way I was was because this kind gentlemen allowed me to transfer some money across to him to pay absolute legend!!!
Without this gesture I wouldn't be able to sample some of the best succulent beers I've had int so especially the rhubarb Ronnie.
Thanks guys absolute pleasure in quite an uncomfortable situation
👏👌👍

The best beer I've ever tasted is brewed and sold in this awesome little gem in the Ouseburn. Cosy by the fire & enjoy the delicious array of beers brewed by @newcastlebrewing
unfined & unfiltered joy in a glass. Come rain or shine this place is definitely worth a visit.

Great night under the arch. Gorgeous food and great service despite the fact they were ran off their feet. Can't wait to come back
R. M.
Amazingly homely pub. Great music. Very relaxed. Excellent location under the Byker Bridge - a five minute walk from town. Has a fire outside and blankets!
G. M.
Delicious food. Lovely staff, good tunes and lovely smell of bonfire 😊
M. K.
What an amazing place. From a short unexpected beer stop it turned out to be the best dining experience on our trip in Newcastle. We will definitely go back. Thanks guys
R. L.
Quirky place with a great selection of beers. We'll worth a visit.
L. C.
The curries are flavoursome, naan and rice good, however I felt that the soy skewer added nothing to the meal and the pickle choices could be more exciting or homemade. Drinks choices are good and lively atmosphere.

Now this is a find in the rather splendid area that is the Ouseburn. This place will do well. Class, class, class and more class.
K. L.
Excellent selection and the staff banter is tip top
B. B.
Just found this place. The staff were really nice. The food was brilliant and the feel of the place is just fantastic.
A. B.
Excellent food, reasonably priced, good staff in the kitchen and out. Good ales available. Nice vibe to the place.
J. B.
Lovely pub, great fire pits, and nice food when they have it on.
F. P.
Amazing brewery, fantastic atmosphere, always lovely staff. Perfect place for people who like proper beers as well as those who like the usual lager as they cater for all. Reasonably priced for what it is offering. Not many places like this in the area, very quirky and cool!
j. k.
Great selection of craft beers, usually with a few guest ales. Always something different to try and their recent brown ale was easily one of the best I've tasted. Partnered with a delicious Indian menu you can't go wrong
C. M.
Amazing food great atmosphere and welcoming staff and great selection of beers. It is also well covered so even it is raining you can be quite snug!
F. M.
Friendly service wide range of cask beers I chose an American IPA - just what I was looking for and complemented the food. Choices for meat and non meat eaters. Several curries and accompaniments served on your own stainless steel serving dish (Thali) Loads of flavour, plenty of food. Unusual surroundings, inside is the bar and assorted small tables. You have to be there early to get seated as we were unable to book for a small party. Outside you can sit around large square platforns each with it's own fire burning in the centre. You need to be hardy for that when it's cold outside though. Overall I was pleasantly surprised and will be going back for more soon.

Try it, it's awesome! Great craft beer and Sales. Attached to a really good Indian Street food outlet, I've eaten, it's the best. Owners are really friendly, dogs are welcome as are the kids, lovely outside area, it's in Ouseburn, you can eat and drink here then check out The Cluny and Brinkburn Brewery! Awesome day
T. K.
The location is nice, out of the way and doesn’t seem to be overly crowded. I love the outdoor covered area and fire pit, it’s a fantastic place to sit and enjoy a nice afternoon! The beer selection is quite good - my only wish is that the menu had a few more options, other than that it’s well worth a (repeat) visit!
J. D.
A cracking little pub with a great selection of craft beers and ale. The kitchen does a delicious and affordable curry. Log burners outside to add to the chilled atmosphere. Would highly recommend visiting.
S. L.
Excellent food! Lots of vegan veggie options, love that everything is locally sourced and the atmosphere is great.
C. L.
Lovely and cosy place, great selection of beers and combined with Thali tray.
M. S.
Love this place!! Great beer, food and atmosphere, will definitely return. The owner is such a cool guy, very welcoming and really knows his stuff when it comes to craft beers ;)
J. S.
Great little bar. Made to feel at home by Leo and Cheryl, really good vibe about the place(while we didn't eat , the food looked and smelled amazing). This what Ouseburn is all about.
D. Y.
Amazing Thali Trays. Great beer. Very reasonable prices.
J. B.
The staff are super friendly and attentive. Great selection of beer and the food was amazing. Big thank you to our server Mikey
A. C.
Nice open feel to the place with a bit of outdoor space. Quite enjoyed their own IPA and they have guest kitchens on a regular basis. Another great addition to the Ouseburn.
S. N.
Burgers were lush but a bit of salad would have been good. Beers were really good too. Quirky place. Games and books provided. E stayed over an hour chilling there.
C. S.
Great beer, great food.
This place is worth visiting.
Really good staff.
Happy to give 5 star rating

Arch2 is a surpising delicous Indian restaurent and micrbrewery, with canteen like trays servicing 2 curries, a naan, rice, gorgeous lime pickle and a tiny starter for around £8 to £9.
The Naan was amazing and buttery, I had the chicken and beef curry what was too die for and the lime pickle was top notch.
Lovely atmosphere, fire pits, lovely staff and amazing bear
s. k.
Really good Indian food.
R. W.
Absolutely class. Post covid measures are mint. Order online and the staff bring it to you - their craic is belta so makes the new normal experience fab 🤗
K. F.

J. E.

A. B.
Fantastic bar with a good selection of beer.
A. T.
Great brewpub, friendly staff, good beer an amazing burger and even though it was a crisp autumnal night, the fire pits were lovely and made it difficult to leave
P. T.
Cool place with real fire outside and lovely lighting inside. Proper ales excellent choice and top quality burgers what more do you want on a Winters night?
B. T.
Nice beer and not rammed full on sunny Saturday, unlike everywhere else in Ouseburn. We sat and played a few board games which was great fun.
B. A.
Have just completed a tasting session. Excellent. Kept a score sheet of our tasters and are now enjoying a pint of our favourite
S. H.
Excellent range of beers, a lot of which are brewed on site. Outdoor firepit and very cheap burger deal (£6.50 for beer and burger when I went tonight (30-12-17))
L. L.
Great atmosphere and lovely outdoor seating area
A. W.
Very expensive beer by local standards, especially considering it's only brewed out the back. But it's decent beer and a friendly little place.
J. R.
Nice chilled out place with good beer, good tunes and board games too! Definitely need to come back for the new burger deal :)
D. C.
Fabulous brewpub inn the famous Ousburn Valley. Great craft beer on tap, and games, open fires, blankets. A must
S. W.
Good food new, great beer and one poor staff member working on everything for you. Place has just opened
I. B.
First time for us. Good beer friendly service and a roaring fire. Not my first choice but I would go back
M. M.
Sorry I hit 1 star by mistake. The only problem I had was the internet signal was bad and if i didn't have a mobile phone there didn't seem to be a way I could be served. Not everyone has a mobile phone
C.
Lovely little pub with some brilliant beers. It's a nice place in a great part of town.
j. A.
