Hi. we were in the alehouse yesterday. I booked the room for my retirement drinks. there was a very friendly welcome provided with good food and where nothing was too much trouble. the team even put up the banners and balloons on our behalf to decorate the room before we arrived.the music was good and there was a v good atmosphere. thank you so much for making us so welcome. I had an amazing afternoon

New management in recent months and a nice quiet refuge for an early evening refresher after work. Excellent beers choice and friendly warm welcome, great to be back as not been in for some time due to excessive noise on previous visit under previous management.

Great pub, we only called in for a quick pint but were very impressed. It's good to see a pub being a 'pub' rather than a restaurant or an annoying cocktail bar. We'll get the metro next time so we can stay for more than one.

A very good pub. Although all the rooms have been made into one it still has the feeling of the old bars, the bar area, the undecided snug area then the lounge area. The customers that were in at the time can probably relate to that. A lot of space inside, outside seating area at the rear, for the good weather and, carpark at the rear also.

Good range of Beers Ales & Larger's the place was jumping as there was a local band called Jonny Sax playing and I think everyone were having a cracking time I certainly was. Great staff too.

This place is a nice little gem. It's like Cheers, 'everyone knows your name' and by that I mean everyone knows each others name. There are a lot of locals. The staff are very friendly and approachable. When you reserve the room in back they're amenable, the prices for beer are around £3, though Larger may cost more. Their toilets are clean and tidy, and the traditional English pub buffet was tasty (except the Spring Roll). Its a nice place to stop off for a beer.

Great local pub with quiz on Wednesday pool Thursday and live act on Saturday serves local ales with a good atmosphere very friendly staff. Banta welcome! Children alout till 9 pm with a pool table and darts. Sunday diners are lush. On my recommendations list if your are on the area.

Friendly bar with a nice selection of drinks, clean toilets, live music in a separate room so you can either party or chill. Nice little local, didn't have any crisps or snack when we asked but that was due to a late delivery which cant be helped

Lived down the road from this pub for a few years and it was my local. Nice little pub and has plenty of events on. Best of all one of the cheaper pints to be had in the area. Still go back occasionally so it must be alright!

The Benton alehouse has benefit from a refurb. I drank in here alot when I was working down the road.. I still like it, nice old school pub, decent beer at a decent price. And although I am infrequently in there now, it's still nice to walk in and see one of your old colleagues
