Really nice local pub with a lovely Sunday roast, we will be back! And to finish it off was sticky toffee pudding which was spongey and rich.

One of the best local "proper pubs". Lovely space, great selection of drinks, and decent bar food. Sunday lunch is not to be missed, especially if the weather is good enough for it to be enjoyed in their secluded beer garden by the river.

Great little pub with a cracking beer garden - nice selection of guest ales and lagers as well as the usual pub drinks. If you cant find something on the fantastic food menu that suits you - then you're probably one of those mega picky people who no one likes so stay at home. Can't wait to go back!!

Nice Sunday lunch , went down early as its first come first served . I had the beef and my son had the belly pork , the meat was cooked lovely to my taste . Big Yorkshire pud on my plate and plenty of gravy . My only slight criticism was that although it was served with plenty of mash ( which I prefer ) the meal only had one roast potato and two slithers of carrot with a very small serving of shredded cabbage . We like more veg on our Sunday lunch . I will defo be back for Sunday lunch as what I did have was delish. I would suggest getting down early as inside seating is quite limited , however our visit was a very sunny day and the beer garden was full of happy eatters so we had no issue dining outside .

10/10 food and service, kitchen very kindly replaced a sunday roast at a late hour of the day after I discovered I was allergic to part of the meal. Above and beyond service there, great beer and smiley bar staff every time.

Lovely classic pub, with bar games like pool and darts and has 2 quizzes a week. Popular with uni students and is dog friendly. Drinks are quite expensive but food is delicious and cheap.

Came in to start a little pub crawl wasn’t expecting much.... Really nice place! Quirky little gem. We had halloumi fries with our pints. They were expensive but man were they good, definitely worth it. Came with two great dips too. Will definitely be back for a sesh!

I would come back every day for that burger, flipping lovely!!! the only thing that would make it better is if they put the pickled cabbage in it and served decent cider like old Rosie or black Dragon. Fantastic little place with great range of tapas food and great portions. Situated at the bottom of the ouseburn in a nice little area. Daytime its great and quiet but livens up in the evening with a bit more bustle and pub feel. You MUST try the tapas though. Fantastic quality at an affordable price and portion sizes are huge.

Visited for Sunday lunch. Service was awkward yet there was a kind atmosphere with a little dog running around. Starter was a prawn cocktail which could have been improved with some tomato,lemon or even some bread and the main was a chicken roast with square roasties that were hard and crispy, under-cooked veg and rock hard stuffing. I was disappointed to say the least as I had heard good things.

Four of us stopped off for a drink and snack on Saturday 26th May. One of us is coeliac and it was very difficult to find a lunchtime snack. We were served by a lovely girl called Tanicha, and although it was her first day she went above and beyond to help us, thanks Tanicha, due to your helpfulness we will return soon. We would recommend this pub (especially if you get gluten free bread)

Been the last 4 weeks for lunch and have to say it has been spot on, last week one of our sunday luches had to go back as the beef was tough and not like the usual melt in your mouth meat that has become tradition at the Bluebell! Now usually at places it would be excuse after excuse and that it was the butchers fault but to the credit of the chef and waiting staff they wipped away the plate with a concered apology to replace it with beautifuly cooked beef and a apology from chef for his mistake in handing out the wrong cut of meat, brilliant! Thank you and keep up the good work guys as i will come everyweek with the family
