A pub on the main road with limited parking at the front. If you're after a good peaceful drink go in the door on the right at the front of the pub. You'll walk into like a little lounge with maybe half a dozen tables, go to the left and you'll enter a huge bar area. The bar itself basically in the middle with service from all sides. An area in one corner for a pool table, another separate area for darts. From were I was sitting I counted 8 TVs including the one behind me, with the sound off and music playing to suit everyone. A very popular all round pub by the way it filled up while we were there. Possibly a beer garden at the rear.

Our favourite local pub. Friendliest of atmospheres. Dogs very welcome. Wide variety of sport live and live singers on twice a week. Great food. Lots of variety on beers and cask ales. Definitely worth a visit.

Another good Whickham pub now it's had a makeover & change of bar staff. The problem with the previous regime was the young bar staff. They would serve their mates first & other people of there age. This drove a lot of middle age regulars away. Thankfully that is not the case now.

Visited for the first time and enjoyed a great pint of Beavertown! Lovely little beer garden at the back of the pub - will definitely be returning when we can drink indoors next week. Staff were excellent and very attentive!

Great night on Saturday. Felt safe with practices in place but still had a good atmosphere. The Mrs and I were on the G&T's which were served perfectly and brought to our table. Spot on, thank you!

I really enjoyed using the Bridle when pubs were open again in the summer through October – it felt very safe with their stringent covid compliance. I enjoyed popping in for a local ale and to catch some of the footy with my Jack Russell, Skip. For craft lovers, they also have Brewdog Pale Ale on tap which is excellent. Looking forward to going back in 2021!

Bridle path is a nice place if you want somewhere to have lunch, the food was prepared and presented well at a fair price. The staff are very welcoming and attentive. There are TV screens with the sport if you like that sort off thing. I am very happy with the service, food and price and will be visiting again.

Met up with friends here for a few drinks. It is a nice big airy pub with plenty seating. It was a Saturday afternoon with six nations rugby on the TV. Large central bar area with the choice of beers, ciders and lagers. As we were with our wives and hadn't met up for a while we had lots to talk about so found a corner table out of the road, however the volume of the TV kept increasing to the point where we were having to almost shout to be heard so we decided to make a sharp exit to another bar along the road where we were able to talk. This was a shame as we were ok at the Bridle Path and whilst I really enjoy sport the volume of the TV spoilt it for us. I don't understand why they did that and the majority of the people who were dotted around the bar watching the rugby on the many TV's seemed happy enough watching with the volume at a reasonable level when we first went in.

The Bridle Path is a great place for a night out due to being busy and full of atmosphere, however, the service is rather poor and some of the staff can be quite rude and standoffish and I have heard this same report from numerous people. I also feel the Bridle Path falls short in meeting the needs of those who want to go for food and relax as I believe there are much better options for this.

Went in with my friend i asked for all the different type's of gin the women behind the bar said all the gins are right in front of you i was only asking to try a different gin she said we have over 20 gins she couldn't be bothered to tell me what flavours the where not very helpful

Went for breakfast this morning. Coffee and a bacon sandwich for £3.50? Value for money in a clean, cool environment. Definitely recommended for breakfast, might have to try lunch next time.
