I'm updating my review and adding one star, as in my second and third visit I had other dishes and they were way better than sandwiches. Grill meat is amazing, nachos and lasagna as well! You guys got one star more from me :) It's a nice place, big parking space, nice dinning area and big pub menu, they are also dog friendly. My only complaint is that food pictures in menu are really different to reality. I will repeat in that place for sure an may change the stars

I took my husband here for Fathers Day . My family and I use this establishment quite regularly however today we were disappointed with our meal . We had the roast beef with cauliflower carrots peas broccoli roast potatoes two slices of beef mashed potato Yorkshire pudding and gravy . Sadly the gravy was salty , the cauliflower was raw , the mashed potatoes were instant mash and were awful . Such a shame I don’t like to complain. This is not normal for this establishment , normally the food is very good . Our apple pie and custard were delicious

Come here on a regular basis with my family and friends for food. Always great quality food and great value for money. The team are always so helpful and friendly nothing is ever to much trouble. We also enjoy all the events going in for the kids. A great family friendly pub. Will be back soon.

Had my grandsons christening in the function room. Mandy went above and beyond to help the room looked amazing and the service was fantastic the bar maid was great craic got on well with everyone she was quick and efficient and the Buffett was the best Iv ever had in a pub great selection of food for everyone down to the kids. We had a memorial gathering for my Father on Wednesday, the staff couldn't do enough for us, exceptional, the food was better than a average buffet, fresh hot tasty, we believe a few extras like the platters of chips, graet wraps loads of dips, just seemed more than what we paid for, i hope they see this big warm thank you from us.

Had such a lovely time at the Dukes halloween breakfast. Breakfast was great staff really friendly and fabulous entertainment with music, games and a special appearance from Barney the dinosaur. My little boy had such alot of fun. Would highly recommend a visit to the Duke.

The last time I visited my family and i purchased a trash can challenge and it was the most disgusting meal i have ever eaten/left. After the latest refurbishment and the new menu, I am happy to revisit the Duke. They has sectioned off an area for families to have a PG 13 atmosphere. So less people shouting or swearing around families. The meal today was a great improvement. It's still pub grub at a reasonable price but you get what you pay for. I will be happy to revisit again at a later day.

A wee gem tucked away in Kenton. Greene King pub but don't let that fool you, great location, unbelievable amounts of space both inside and out. Food menu is extravagant beyond words, something for everyone with ease. They also do peroni on draught and they changed the telly to let me watch the lions game! If you are in the North East and want to feel like a (Greene) King but not break the bank, look no further than the Duke of Wellington. *drops mic

Amazing place! It has a half and half layout, with a pub on one side which can get loud and then a calmer family orientated on the other half. The food is gorgeous and a massive selection from the menu that is very inexpensive! The decor seems slightly dated but does make it quite cozy. The carpark is also large, and is never crowded and there is also a seating area outside so you can enjoy a drink. I would highly recommend this restaurant to everyone.

My girlfriend and I went here last night for dinner a few drinks after she'd finished work. After about an hour of being there, there was a fight that broke out between a few guys that were having a drink outside. Got very physical and very heated, and one of the bar staff (who happened to serve me earlier) came out and ended up getting caught in the cross fire when he tried to intervene. Not good at all. A few moments later, after things had started to settle, there appeared to be another fight / argument that was going on inside the pub. We were outside ourselves by that time, and left shortly after. We noticed several police vans had turned up, and were parked round the corner. Not really what you want when you plan on having a nice meal out on a weekend with your other half. That aside, the pub itself is big, and is nicely done out inside. For real ale fans, there was a couple of hand pumps on the bar, of which one appeared off at the time. The one that was on was Greene King IPA. Would have been nice to see both beers available. I ended up opting for a glass of Rioja and my girlfriend a Carling shandy. The food was okay. My girlfriend's steak was overdone. She asked for medium and it was tough and well done. My chicken burger and fries were fine. We have been to another Flaming Grill pub before, and the food was better than here. I want to give this place another chance, and we probably will, but maybe it's a good idea getting some door staff on a weekend, so there's no trouble in the smoking / outdoor seating area outside? I also hope the attention to detail is improved, such as getting the steaks right for the customer, making a bit !ore effort changing the barrels over for the real ale so there's always two choices available. It's a nice pub in a convenient location for us, so I hope the few things that need to get straightened out end up do getting straightened out.

Fairly standard Flaming Grill pub with usual menu. Nothing outstanding but OK for general eating. Not a great selection of beers. Usually manage to have one hand-pumped on tap - more recently (Dec 2018) there has been an effort to have two hand pumps active and a 10% discount for CAMRA members. There is also a multiple purchase free pint offer.The toilets could really do with better management and are generally in poor condition

Food is okay. Had the ribeye , far too thick . The fat in between is meant to melt in your mouth. This didnt. I would advise you download the voucher cloud app as often there is discount for Flaming Grill pubs. Paying full price would not be value for money. This used to be my local and I will always have a soft spot for it. Would come back for food just maybe avoiding the steaks.

Came here with partner, mam, son & son's friend. Food was perfect & a bargain. Went on a thur, so it was bogof on all burgers (was actually the whole meal), so my partner got this, ate one & got the other to take away. Me & my mam got the 2 meals for £10 & 2 kids meals (they are a really good size) For drinks, we got 2 pints of carling, 2 bottles of kopperberg & 2 diet cokes. Then we ordered 3 kids ice cream sundae's (£1.99 I think & are a really good size) & a brownie (£1.99- quite small, but was enough after that big meal) The whole thing came to £45, which was a nice surprise. The staff were lovely & very helpful & was a nice attmosphe. The only thing I would say is that it would benefit from having a children's play area outside. The car park is huge, so could definitely be reduced. We would be here alot more, as live close by if there was more for my son to do.
