The building outside looks brilliant. We stopped for a Sunday roast and the food was good. Enjoyed trying new ales as well. Behind us a big family with kids were having a dinner and it was a bit noisy. There wasn't any background music in the pub and it was fairly busy.

Stopped in for a Sunday lunch. Had the beef. Was very nice, good mix of potatoes, the side veg was a little plain, but the beef was a very generous portion and at £9 I thought was very good value. Venue itself is a traditional pub/tavern and pleasant enough.

Outstanding service, excellent menu with quality cooked food at a very reasonable price. Would definitely visit again if I'm ever in this area again

I'm gluten & diary intolerent & the staff couldn't have been more helpful, the 1st time I've managed to have a 3 course meal in many years, all the food was beautiful, hot, tasty & well served. Well done!!! As someone who has worked in the catering industry for 40yrs I would thoroughly recommend this place. Please remember the busier the place the less time people can spend with you, try not too always choose the most popular times to eat.

Really friendly staff and very accommodating. Food was delicious - very large portions!
Perfect as a midpoint when walking the dogs along the old nearby railway path.
Dog friendly with a dedicated dog-safe area by the front door. Water bowls available on request.

I was there yesterday and i had a cheeseburger which was fantastic but the thing was when i looked, the meat had PINK MAYO on it and there was also coleslaw (which i don't like ) next to the chips so the chips had bits of it and it was Disgusting.
Also when i wanted the chocolate fudge cake the lady said it had nuts in ( i have a nut allergy) so instead i had to have the chocolate ice cream sundae which was big for me and i couldn't even complete half of it.
Apart from that the service was good and i recommend it to anyone wanting to good there !!!

Party of 4 - two people gave it 3 stars.. they eat meat the 2 vegetarians gave it 1.
the service was SLOW... looked like two young girls looking after everyone.
so why did it get a good review. well it is a nice place, the car park is ample, the atmospher is nice and you do not have to shout over the top of music. its a nice venue and if it would just provide a little more variety and few more staff it would get 5

A bit quiet when we called for a date night! Was the 1st time we'd ate there. The staff were all very pleasant and accommodating. The choice of food was good and delicious when it arrived. We left both full and happy.
