Popped in Yesterday (2/8/20) with Mrs T. We absolutely loved it. The young lady was a dream. Took our temps and relevant details. Asked the under aged to leave (fantastic). We had a lovely conversation and the beers were perfect. More the 5🌟

Buenas cervezas, el camarero muy simpatico
This might be the best pub in Newcastle City centre. It's well priced with a great atmosphere. It has live music most Saturdays but if you're anything like me then you'll appreciate the Arms for a place right in the middle of town that doesn't get too busy so you're always going to get a seat. The staff are freindly and piss around too much when you ask for a drink, which is always good.
(Translated) Very cozy. Thumbs up!

Einfach Klasse
One of the few proper pubs left in town. I love this place. Normally quiet, with an excellent range of real ale, and really lovely staff. Beware match days as it transforms into a fully loyal and absolutely packed pre and post game venue!
I used to love this place and would often be found in there because of the extensive range of beers. Nowadays, a fleeting visit is all I can manage. Although a few familiar faces on either side of the bar remain, the price structure and the pubs aim at the higher market end make the Arms a shadow of its former self.
Bit rough around the edges but found it pleasant enough for a quick pint before a gig
Excellent pub nice beers and lagers friendly staff when there there was some Morris dancers there they were really good well worth a visit
Nice place for a pint staff ok
Went before match was good for away and home fans... Get there early as can get crowded. Only downside was one of the beers tasted bad felt like pipes were not cleaned... However was withdrawn. However fast service and plenty of choice of ales.
Had a great first ever visit, friendly people, will call again next time I visit
Loverly pub great service
One of my most favourite pubs in Newcastle. It's known for its wide selection if real ales, and is very traditional inside. Does not serve food.
A friendly pub just around the corner from St James' Park. They have a great selection of real ale, along with usual beers and largers. I believe they accept CAMRA members.
Hadnt been in here for years but as we were dining in nearby China town we decided to have a pre meal drink it's still an excellent pub with a very good selection of ales and cocktails
Good Real Ale pub in the shadow of At James's Park very old traditional Pub still has the original gas lamp fittings. Get really full on match days, handy for a pint before visiting China Town. Good views of the Pagoda at the head of Stowell Street.
I walked in here tonight and Joanne who I met was fantastic - showed me and explained all the rules and regulations - she showed professionalism - very impressed, I will return, god bless Joanne.
Great beer and good service at the bar, just wish it wasn't so loud, had to shout just to be heard when out with friends.
Nice pub and Friendly staff . Worth looking out for .
Great staff, especially Alan. The clientele after great as well. Love the Juke box, the zany banter and general atmosphere of fun and cheer.
Just around the corner from Stowell St the heart of Chinatown. Was very quiet when I visited for a pre dinner beer or two. Real ales available. Old style bar area.
We call in to this gem of a pub on our way to St James metro, great beers with special deals and Margaret the resident barmaid is always a pleasure to see, a cosy pub with traditional decor
It's big draw is it's great Ales! As an added bonus they offer a CAMRA discount which automatically rises it up in my books! Well priced, down to earth bar.
Not a bad pub
Excellent real ale.
Fantastic staff, very accommodating. Great atmosphere 👌
Best pub in Newcastle it's a proper pub always full but great staff always get served quickly good prices and selection of beers.
12 golfers stayed here for 2 nights. A good sports bar to watch footy, rooms clean and tidy and very good breakfast
Always excellent beer and friendly staff
Went for one drink as close to Stowell Street restaurants. Pretty rough & ready and was really really noisy due to a group of girls on a hen night.
Quiet, friendly its all new but they have gone for an oldschool pub look which is excellent! Prices are cheap and it has a good atmosphere
Nice outside area
Nice bar
Excellent selection of beers. Friendly staff and great atmosphere on match days.
Staff were friendly, food was great, and hubby enjoyed the wide range of beers available
Lovely pub near Premier Inn
Two pints £10.50. Previous round in the Percy, £5.70.
Not bad, lovely pint of stout. Unfortunately it was a match days, so more expensive than none match days.
Friendly & professional drinks based pub with a jukebox
Good pint of beer and plenty of choice. Proper good old fashioned pub and music good too.
It was quiet. And expensive half of fosters was £2.30 probably why they had no customers early afternoon through the week
Cosy pub with friendly staff and good selection of beers and good value for money
Pre match waterhole good beer serve OK can be very busy especially match days
A local bar in the middle of town. Amazing staff
Great pub loved atmosphere, decor of real traditional pubs👍👍👍
If it was not for Margaret it would be one star, over priced beer and quality so so

Great beer choice, great atmosphere. Small but beautiful.
If you like a traditional proppa pub, this is up there with rhe best of them 👌
Good pub with friendly bar staff.
Great little pub on the edge of China town always good for a catchup after work
Lovely bar staff and nice interior. Surprisingly quiet.
An oasis on the edge of the consumer shopping mall nightmare. Really good staff, real people and great real ale.
Amazing honest "real" pub... We'll worth a trip to...
Small but friendly city centre pub with reasonable prices
Good match day pub 5 minutes from St James Park, good selection of beers
Friendly atmosphere and good service.
A proper Newcastle pub, brilliant staff . With that good old Geordie Welcome.
Oldy worldy pub, I liked it. All I could smell were the flowers by the fire place. Lillies.
Friendly wee bar had some good nights thank to the staff
Great old fashioned real ale pub, with a modern twist
Love to grab a last pint here before the trip up to St James Park..
Very friendly pub, good atmosphere and good local ales

Funky, dark, music a bit loud but decent pub.

A proper man's pub, serving proper beer and sports on the telly, can't beat that.
There was a choice of 8 cask ales and a nice ambience.
Great pub Margaret behind the bar is lovely
A nice old pub to go to for a good selection of real ales.
