Reviews of Pitcher & Piano Newcastle

Food was tasty with reasonable prices.
Starter prawns tacos was good. However services needed improvements, a group of us, 10 people visited in a weekday for dinner, the waitress keeps sending wrong orders to our table. Ordered a medium beef, first got a medium-well, then a well-done overcooked beef was delivered, we sent it back to the kitchen again, then after 30minutes a so called medium beef has been delivered, as I was so hungry so just take whatever I've got this time, and the beef was not even cooked, it was rare!

Bottomless Brunch at Pitcher and Piano.... Amazing and Fran was a super star serving us. So canny and got us our drinks for us in a speedily manner! Thanks so much ₩
P&P and Fran 💜

Nice place inside with a decent menu and large drinks menu. Everything from beers and larger's to cocktails and non alcoholic beverages. They even do sharer cocktails.
I had the steak and it was cooked as I asked. We were Olin a group of 9 and apart from a slight misunderstanding at the beginning on a starter all was as requested and the mistake was quickly and easily fixed.
On paying the bill options were given for paying individually or as a group.
Inside was nice to look at although the music was a bit samish all the time and could irritate after a while. Outside is the millennium bridge which is a great view.

Nice food. Nice views. Good options for brunch. Wasn't clear where to sit or what to do when you arrived.

I organised a 30th birthday event in the middle of May. This was on the private mezzanine area.
Lucy, the events manager was excellent with communication and could not have done anything more to make sure that my event was perfect. She organised additional decorations and put me in contact with external companies. This included Harry, a photographer who worked the room and understood that some people may not want pictures while eating so came back! She also sent pictures of the room as it was getting set up - talk about building excitement!
The venue was outstanding. The view was lovely and the outdoor terrace was an added bonus.
The girls behind the bar were superb. Megan and Jodie were friendly and made sure everyone had a great night. The bar was fully stock with the same stock as the public bar.
Elliot and Molly stepped in to support the event on the actual night and went above and beyond to ensure that the event was exactly what I pictured.
Booking this venue was an ideal choice. All the guests commented on the food and the quality of it and they commented on the venue and how picturesque it was. There was such a buzz between all guests (70 of them) and for days after I was overjoyed. I still look at pictures now! Just a faultless event - Thank you everyone!

Had the Bottomless Brunch with 40 friends to celebrate a birthday. Location is spectacular. The service was top notch. The staff worked tirelessly to keep everybody happy , despite being rushed off there feet. The food was delicious and beautifully presented. Highly recommended. Would definitely return
A. R.
Nice location and drinks, bit lacking in atmosphere but it was early evening.

Booked bottomless brunch for nine people for my friends birthday. What a fab day we had. The girl serving us (sorry I can't remember her name) was excellent very friendly and made sure our glasses were never empty. Great value for money we would highly recommend and definitely return excellent value for money thanks for having us.
B. S.
Lovely relaxed place down my Quayside, only had coffee, but food looked nice, from what I saw & staff friendly/ welcoming. Probably a popular place in evenings.
J. B.
The food was excellent and drinks were sublime!! On top of that you have great staff and a top tier view of the Sage. What more could you ask for?
S. N.
Super nice staff, good food, and nice atmosphere. The cocktails tasted a bit odd, but still okay overall.
j. t.
We had the part of the downstairs bar looking out onto the millennium bridge sectioned off for a birthday celebration for 40 people.
The gold package canape buffet was delicious.
The venue was perfect. Great selection of drinks and the staff were all brilliant.
Everyone had a fab time.
Thanks Lucy for organising everything.

Vege curry good, nice place close by the River, nice Beer
G. P.
It is very nice to sit outside when the sun is out during the day people watching l also saw a seal swimming in the river l don't know if that is unusual or not ?

Visited Pitcher Piano with my daughter for lunch and had an amazing couple of hours , food was lovely and service was excellent.
A special mention to Luci who was excellent , my daughter loved her , she was just so friendly and cheerful 10 out of 10 without a doubt.
I know working face time face with the public can be a drain but nothing was a problem for her thank you.

Booked several weeks in advance. Asked for table next to window as it was a special occasion, but they hadn't got one prepared even though there were plenty of spare tables there and said we could only have one if we were out within an hour and a half. As we didn’t want to rush, we were given a table in a back corner.
Ordered the food, four out of six of us wanted the pasta then we were told it was off the menu. Several other main courses also not available. It’s not good enough that so many dishes were unavailable, and they should have told us this before we ordered.
However, the waitress was very friendly and efficient.

Me and my partner absolutely love our visits to pitcher and piano! We went for some lunch as they have a new menu we couldn’t wait to try out the new items! Food portions are always huge and super tasty, we want to shout out and say Thankyou to Lucy our server for making it a great experience she was amazing!! super friendly, she made sure if we needed more drinks they came before we finished our last, she created a great atmosphere while making sure all our needs were met and suggested some great dishes! We will be returning, more so because of the great service.
C. D.
Becky was amazing! Was so attentive, I have been to bottomless brunch here 3 times and she has served me each time and it has been outstanding! She is so attentive to our needs and never left us felt out of the loop!
R. P.
This was a staff Christmas event postponed from December. Communications from Lucy during the original build up, postponement and rearrangement was excellent. Food was top notch. Minor gripe that one of the pre-ordered meals was missed, but rectified quickly. Jake was our "runner" on the might and provided friendly and efficient service. A good night had by all
o. b.
First time I'd been there in years, good selection of drink, it used to be too loud and echoey with other peoples conversations but not so on this visit, shame that the POS crashed and we were forced to pay in cash
B.
It's situated on the path alongside the river Tyne on the Quayside. It's adjacent to the Millennium Bridge and across from the Baltic and Sage a perfect location and it has outside seating where you can enjoy the views and watch the folks wander up and down - perfect way to spend a pleasant hour or two with a coffee ☕ or a glass of wine 🍷
It's part of a franchise so the food is generic pub food and perfectly tasty and adequate. The wine selection was pretty darn good, coffee hot and tasty, ditto the beer. The staff were polite and helpful and loo's clean (you know it's a bit of a benchmark for me 🙄).....
Soooo...yep lovely place but not for me after 8pm and rightly so....I hope the younger crowd submit a review 🕺💃
J. S.
So, these two girls have been the best serve you could ever ask for. They have made sure none of us was short of drinks on bottomless brunch and made everything go smoothly. The pair of them are an absolute credit to your company. Many thanks to Amber & Emily
D. M.
Great pub on a weekday afternoon, normally about half full so you can have a choice of seats. Views up, down and across the river. Large outside seating area at the front for people watching 👀.
J. B.
Nice place to sit on the Quayside and have a drink. Bit pricey cost £10.50 for 2 pints. But that's to be expected in the toon. Although Wetherspoons is a 4 minute walk away if you're on a budget.
S.
Becky was amazing. I can’t fault her at all. Her service was fantastic. She didn’t allow our bottomless brunch bottles to sit longer than a matter of seconds.
I’m actually going to come back again as a result of her service. Thank you again
J. R. T.
Visited this afternoon. Sunday 12th. This place is really in need of a make over. The decor is looking really tired now.
Pleasant staff in what is quite a shabby establishment.
Think the cleaners need to do the light shades......
Will be back when the paint brushes have been out.
Spend your money in Charts, a much better establishment.....
F. A.
Lovely seating area outside by the river. The burgery menu is great. Starters were overpriced and okay. Good selection on non-alcoholic drinks as wl.
S. M.
Went to pitcher and piano for bottomless brunch for a friends birthday and had a great time. The food was lovely and our server Liv was so attentive and friendly, lovely bubbly girl who made our visit amazing. Will defo be back!
O. A.
Emily was very helpful, polite and friendly. Emily offered advice regarding the menu and was professional. Lovely place to eat. The shawarma needed a little bit more sauce and chicken but for a light lunch it was perfect. Thank you
M.
Becky was great! She was so attentive to all of our needs and didn’t leave us feeling left out like many bottomless brunch! Anyone who comes here should be served by Becky!
A. M.
After a miscommunication about our event and with very few staff, Corey snd the team, opened and staffed the top bar, moving all the furniture to give us room gor our reunion. They were fantastic, I can’t praise or thank them enough!
We had a great event. Brilliant venue, tasty food, friendly, efficient staff. We will be back next time we come to Newcastle. Thank you.
J. R.
Had a lovely lunch today for the Jubilee!! Liv served us service with a smile. She really made my experience here great! Will be back again
D. L.
We had an amazing private party upstairs at the pitcher & piano on Saturday afternoon for my friend Mimi's 40th Birthday. The sun shone we sat out on the balcony soaking up the rays with a glass or 2 of alcahol and enjoying the food. The service was excellent and the food was lovely. Thank you.
C. G.
Absolutely amazing, first bottomless brunch I have introduced my friends too. Staff were efficient and polite. Definitely be back again soon.
C. G.
Absolutely amazing your staff made our day very attentive and professional. We will definitely be returning for brunch... Great deal.
F. B.
Emily, Becky and Fran were amazing today at bottomless brunch!! Kept our drinks topped up the whole time! We will definitely be coming back, thank you so much for the fab service!
8.
Portions have got smaller but still same price, chicken & bacon salad £11.75 + small portion of chips £3.50. Will not be returning.
Staff excellent 👍
F.
Lovely experience! Our waitress Olivia provided a really great atmosphere, very upbeat and attentive. Looking forward to our next visit.
P. :.
Service is really slow, in the bar and the waiters. Really friendly, delicious cocktails. Just had the food isn't all that good, too expensive for this taste. Wetherspoons food is better.
F. B.
We came for a meal on Friday to start the Jubilee weekend and couldn’t have been happier! The food was great and our server Liv gave us some nice recommendations with a lovely smile, I will be returning on the next royal occasion!
S. C.
Enjoyed our food on a recent trip back up north. Visited with my two girls & the staff were friendly & helpful (came over to move us when a nearby table were enjoying themselves r3ally loudly so we didn’t get caught up in it all)
M. M.
I was in Newcastle for the day with 3 friends for my birthday.. Our experience in your establishment didn’t start well.. No white wine available at all which was a big disappointment for me.. We were going to leave without ordering anything but Bryony was so lovely and tried so hard to help we decided to stay.. we enjoyed our food but the highlight and the friendliest, most helpful person we met in Newcastle was Bryony. I’ve not given a good star rating as the experience was average, only made memorable by this one member of staff.. Good luck to Bryony for her future.. I’m sure she’ll go far..
P. F.
Becky was amazing. I appreciate her service so much. She went above and beyond her colleagues. The best bar maid in Newcastle!!
L. W.
We had a really enjoyable time at the Pitcher and Piano. Service was second to non. If you’re served by Temi you’ll be treated well. He remembers your order even if you can’t.
s.
Place was ok, and river view was really nice. However staff could be more responsive. Cocktails were nice but have had better before.
T.
Had a great time lovely food, sever was wonderful only thing Liv could have done better was stop having such a wonderful smile, that she was always using. Will be back soon!!
C. E.
Retirement doo in the function room upstairs was brilliant. Lucy, events manager was so helpful in organising the catering etc. Josh and Harry the bar staff were fantastic and had their work cut out keeping the drinks flowing but did a brilliant job. Throughly recommend the venue for any function.
H. J.
Becky was amazing. A brilliant host. I would recommend she needs more money per hour. She works amazingly.
S.
Great views of the river during the day. The tables and floors are super sticky. Annoying my sleeves were covered in a sticky residue after leaning my arms on the table.
P. R. U. T.
Beautiful place seated by the River Tyne; the perfect location to sit back, enjoy mouth-watering food with refreshing drinks (all served by incredibly friendly and welcoming staff). I felt incredibly safe there and enjoyed my entire experience !!
n. r.
Such a lovely place to have lunch. The staff were amazing and couldn't do enough for us.
A. O.
Great location, good drinks and a really nice buzz. The staff were very helpful, fast and friendly.
L. C.
Jack was fantastic. He was amazing craic and made our bottomless brunch fantastic. And he has beaut eyelashes.
J. B.
Visited the pitcher and piano on Saturday night for the first time in along time and was so impressed with the service we received. Staff were super friendly, professional, helpful and dressed smart and classy! It’s a very classy bar, cocktails are on a great offer, has a wide selection of drinks and the food is exquisite. The views if you sit outside or on the upper floor re breathtaking looking over the river Tyne at night and all of the bridges lit up. Not the cheapest place I’ve ever eaten but you pay for the experience and our e peri eve has been perfect! Will hopefully get back down again in the summer to enjoy the lighter nights!
C. R.
Much needed refreshment following a kayak up and down the Tyne. Club Sandwich was good and a nice selection of cocktails. Not all options on the menu seemed to be selectable via the on line ordering site.
J. H.
Nice vibe in here, Very busy being a Saturday night so wait times understandably longer waiting times, Easy to get a table too.
M. F.
Great bar and restaurant on bank of Tyne, a great sun spot , very busy but staff very quick to serve you , very pleasant drink and meal.
N. P.
Nice food and friendly staff!
D. R.
Given the nervy chapter that we are all living through re the pandemic, I thought that the team did a great job at reassuring us. The table was well set up for a Xmas meal, and all courses were delivered on time and efficiently. The glass of bubbly to start the event was also very welcome. Brad served is and was very polite and professional. It wasn’t a busy evening, so we did feel lucky to have such constant service.
Thanks
N. B.
Went just for cocktails and really enjoyed it, couldn't get my first choice as it wasn't available at the time but was recommended another cocktail (the twister) and it was great. Staff where really friendly and relaxed and the atmosphere was nice. Great location on the riverside.
g. b.
Great food and drinks and prompt service from Liv made for an enjoyable evening, will be back again.
L. C.
Service for our bottomless Brunch was perfect! Issy, Amber and Emily were great and made sure our every need was met.. making a brilliant experience and we will definitely be back! Thank you.
N. M.
Lovely staff. Great food and drinks. Made to feel incredibly welcome. Music was also amazing. Vegan options available. Awesome views of the Tyne.
F. R.
Lovely views and food, on our visit the staff were a little slow with offering more drinks/the bill etc, (this could just be down to the ongoing staffing issues in the hospitality sector)
w. t.
Great location, good service. Lovely views of bridge n river while sitting out enjoying sun shine n beer. Btw not much beer choice.
D. P.
Popped in towards the end of the evening so it was a bit quieter inside. The venue itself was well positioned on the quayside to provide a stunning river view. Enjoyed a couple of cocktails.
S. H.
Booked dinner for New Years Eve. Lovely atmosphere and staff were very friendly.
The food was excellent and we were given plenty of time between courses at our request.
Excellent service from Becky and the girl behind the bar who made the cocktails.
The only downside was that there was no Pina Colada’s available which had unfortunately happened on our previous visit here. As this is my favourite drink of choice it was rather disappointing.
A. M.
Friendly staff, nice views, and a tasty and very reasonably priced lunch menu
A. H.
My friend and I have come to you every December for about 16 years. This year the food was excellent - we agreed it was about the best we have had - it is usually very good. The staff were good, helpful but not intrusive. Well done
S. D.
Lovely setting with views of the tyne, baltic, sage and the millenium bridge, food and drinks are pricey but we enjoyed what we had
A.
Emily, Fran and Becky really looked after us for our bottomless brunch. Thanks girl. Best BB we’ve ever had in Newcastle!
We will be back!
L. D.
Visited with my partner for my birthday weekend had a lovely meal and some gorgeous cocktails. Would certainly recommend to others to go beautiful decor and great ambiance 🙂
K. F.
The staff was great, food was hot and okay, portions good, and price reasonable. The location is fab! I got the Stilton and Steak baguette, and the meat was fatty and chewy, and the sandwich needed more cheese, but the chips were perfect!
G. C.
Had a great bottomless brunch on Sunday, was served by jack t who was great and made it a lot of fun
A. R.
The sun was out a lovely warm day the place was very busy & it was a match day... Table service was good very presentable & polite, orders were filled quite quickly there were no mistakes, food & drink were just fine the prices are what you would expect from a quayside bar/ restaurant with this location right next to the millennium bridge definitely worth a try.
M. B.
Amazing experience! Great atmosphere and amazing service from Lucy! Great seat and view also. Food was delightful and would fully recommend! Can’t imagine how busy it must be weekends!
R. R.
Lovely and comparatively quiet atmosphere with a decent crowd to enjoy a good drink or food. The views of the colourful Millennium Bridge helps as well. Outdoor seating is available but not very practical in the winter. The staff are quick and the service is good as well.
S. S.
Celebrated a friends birthday here. The food, service and drinks were really nice. Great view of the Quayside too
A. F. Q. A.
Got treated to dessert here, had the sticky toffee pudding the portion was a good size n tasted absolutely delicious, yummy! The view of the river and millenium bridge is stunning when dinning in.
A. W.
Went for my boyfriends 21st birthday dinner and his food was really nice, my jackfruit burger was a bit bland. The drinks were good however the service was lacking. We weren’t asked if the food was good until it was taken away, no one came up to get more drinks of us once we finished them. We ordered the vegan churros and the waiter brought up the non-vegan version with the sauce and just placed them on the table and walked away hence, my boyfriend had to walk up to him and tell him that this was the Incorrect order. disappointed with the un-attentive service but we had a nice view of the quayside.
A. A.
Great service, excellent food at a competitive price, not keen on the computer booking though, it refused to work for around 5 minutes.
C. D.
Nice place for a drink in one of the most scenic parts of the Quayside, but of a silly covid system in place requiring you to walk right the way round and through to do track and trace which defeats the idea really. Spoilt by the wobbliest table I have ever encountered (No 130) which resulted in drink spilt through the table onto clothing. Will check table suitability before ordering on the app next time!
D. M. C. S.
View great; kindly let us just drink tea in their restaurant; but fight for sugar and tea spoon intense (stirred tea with a fork in the end)
P. R.
It's essentially a fancy Wetherspoons. But you go get a good view over the Tyne beside the Millennium Bridge. Prices pretty standard.
T. M.
Nice views and the Sunday dinners are delicious! Will be back for more
S. P.
We came here after an event for the World Transplant Games. They accommodated a large party with fantastic service and great food. The server was spot on with every recommendation. He was great at working out many paying several ways. This was an outstanding place for so good grub
M. C.
Very pleasantly situated on the Newcastle Quayside. Lots of room inside and they have tables outside which is very pleasant.
There is a frequent bus service into Newcastle but I park bear the Baltic Mill and walk across the blinking eye together to the Quayside. These are the views you have whilst enjoying your break at the oub
k. m.
Brilliant venue with really friendly & knowledgeable staff. The views are second to none which is exactly what you want all year round!
S. K.
Jack was very helpful and wonderful. Bottomless brunch is great, we are at it right now, I am drunk
d. b.
Went for lunch on Friday with some friends, quayside views were amazing as was the service from liv, would definitely recommend !
M. M.
Fabulous bottomless brunch yesterday, staff were amazing especially Colin who helped us get one of the party home, thanks so much!
J. M.
Popped in a few bevs which ended in food , service was excellent the loverly Brooke was so friendly and great to chat to.
D. U.
Great bar and right on the river front...superb when the sun's out....Great choice of drinks
M. D.
The service in this place is atrocious. Queue at the bar three deep and out of the four staff on duty 1 was serving, 1 faffed on with some cocktails for 15 minutes, one ignored waiting customers and messed about at the back of the bar and one went off to get empty glasses from outside. No sign of any management and a lot of unhappy customers. 2 walked out with no drinks while I waited. The only good thing here is the view from outside (see pic)
As an ex bar manager (in Newcastle city centre I have a message for the management here....
TRAIN YOUR STAFF. when theres a rush at the bar serve the customers first, then do the essentials when it quietens off!
You might want to rethink cocktails when staff are short too, you must be losing money with the time it takes your students staff to make a cocktail
L. W.
Lovely place to eat right in the heart of the city!
D. C.
Had the best server today AMBER funny blond canny Irish lass, couldn’t be anymore helpful. Cushty window
Seats and kept the drinks flowing all day thankyou X
C. F.
Love the location of this restaurant! Right on the tyne river, there really isn't a bad seat in the entire place with the beautiful glass windows all over the place. When we went, we tried ordering multiple things which we were told they did not have that day, which was unfortunate, but the food was good and I would definitely go back!
J. S.
We were served by Joe B and Amber. They were very helpful and happy to answer any request. We had a lovely relaxed meal and would come again. Thanks to both of them for their wonderful service.
G. T.
The new bar staff member mark who mentioned he's only been here a few weeks made it look liked he was born to do this! Don't change him!
M. E. T.
The place was lovely and the staff were very friendly. Drinks for the Bottomless Brunch were good. Unfortunately, the Eggs Benedict I ordered were overcooked and the yolk wasn’t runny. The portion was also quite small. Apart from that, it was a good experience.
R. T.
Temi & Jack, What a lovely blokes, we had two birthday on our table and he looked after us so well
A. W.
My favourite bar on Newcastle Quayside. They have most premium larger on tap and if you have time for food then i would recommend as never had a bad meal.
The views at night are outstanding when all buildings and Bridges are lit up.
J. W.
I like P&P pubs. I was told about this one. Had to find it. Good beer 🍺 👍 & service.
R. P.
Interesting and varied menu selection at large waterfront venue. Young very attentive staff. Food was good quality - waterfront prices helped by some lunch offers.
E. M.
Staff were amazing and sang happy birthday to my mam wearing the face masks of her face, the service was fab and they kept the drinks flowing making sure we weren’t empty
S. N.
Very good food and friendly service from Bryony!
C. B.
Had our Uni Winter Ball here and it was perfect!! Such a gorgeous venue and really amazing food! Shoutout to Issy and Ruth for looking after my table all night 😊
R. C.
Magnificent view, fantastic location and most highly recommended
A. M.
Arranged a full 3-course Christmas meal for 45 people at fairly short notice, just a few weeks before.
Pitcher and Piano were amazing the whole way through the process; especially Gemma the manager, Lucy the bookings/events manager and Molly (I think?) who very patiently answered the phone to me about 10 times on the day of the booking, 15/12/21.
Had to make several last-minute changes to the number of people and the preorder prior to the meal but Pitcher and Piano were totally flexible and everything was perfect on the night - don’t know how they managed to keep up with it all!!
Thanks so much Pitcher and Piano for such a stress-free experience during these stressful times!
Would fully recommend and we’ll definitely be back.
P. L.
Nice spot on the Tyne! Called in for a late morning hot chocolate which went down a treat!! I imagine that this place gets rammed in the summer….
C.
Nice place, dog friendly only down side No Newcastle Brown Ale.
How can you be a pub in Newcastle without it in the pub?
M. A. R.
One of my favourite places to just chill by the Tyne River over looking the extraordinary Millennium bridge. Recommended during summer period when they usually have the bridge lifted.
E. D.
Great host and great attention to detail, would highly recommend Temi and Jack!
F. K.
perfect location , good ambience, friendly bar staff , fair prices .
D. G.
Nice little bar, great views, nice in the sun down by the river and lots of people about.
S. U.
Amber in particular. She deserves a leadership role without a doubt. If everyone treat your guests like she does you deserve success!!
B. C.
Went for a drink, friendly staff, theu didn't have all the ingredients for the cocktail we ordered but the bar tender went beyond to make the cocktail using fresh fruit squeezed instead
N. P.
Food and service both excellent. Thanks Andy
M. R.
Bright, clean and well priced, serves a great food menu and fantastic views of the bridges on the tyne
K.
Lovely place, nice benches and pubs around to enjoy.
A. M.
Bella was amazing such a great host and the food was beautiful thank you
C. J.
great staff, great food and ideal location for us when visiting the Sage over the river
O. B.
Amazing venue right by the river. Only had drinks but the cocktails were very nice and well made. Staff work in a safe manner and are very friendly! Try and get served by Jade; very friendly and polite and a credit to not just P&P but to the industry on the whole. Thank you so much for a safe and enjoyable experience!
K. P.
What should have been a quiet lunch wasn't. No table service arrived, so had to queue at bar. A group of about 15 men arrived and were so loud we couldn't even chat. No management approached them to ask if they could be a little quieter, we won't be back.
L. S.
Absolutely brilliant. Amazing service and beautiful place! Really friendly
S. S.
Sat outside sun was shining staff were. Lovely good afternoon 😍😍😍
M.
Great location - good cocktail list however cocktails not as described in the menu.
M. G.
Nice food great location . Good service from Luke !
J. B.
Nice relaxed atmosphere, with great view over the river Tyne
K. T.
Jack was the best! Such a nice kid and I love how nice he was!
s.
The food here is lovely the my G&T super. The atmosphere is buzzing with a complete mix of people.
They stop new guests eating at around 8.30 and it is best to book a table.
The staff are more busy chatting than seeing to guests. 4 young blonde girls couldn't be asked!
My husband ordered a drink it never came. I asked a question about the food the supervisor didn't even bother to come back with a reply.
Nobody came to ask if we wanted more drinks, we had to leave the table to ask at the bar.
We asked for the bill, it eventually came but nobody came to take the money. Back to the bar to ask to pay and a walk to the far side of the restaurant to pay.
Such a shame that service was so poor, we didn't leave a tip as we didn't feel it was warranted!
M. W.
Great location for a drink next to the River Tyne, would visit again.
R. J.
This bar has the best scenery in Newcastle: right at the river by the Millennium Bridge! Nice cocktails!
R. C.
We sat outside on the terrace for a quick drink. The cocktails were good, and we were grateful for the large umbrellas that kept us dry. It was nice to sit by the river and watch life passing by.
A. P.
A great place for a nice chilled drink. Very friendly staff and a clean place 👍🏼
e. m.
Our sever Liv was amazing such a good time xxx
J. W.
Had a lovely couple of hours sat outside in the blazing sunshine. The meals that were being brought out looked gorgeous. We were going to have something to eat in the evening but they had stopped serving food. A bit disappointed as it was only 9pm. Would definitely go again and try their menu.
A. -.
Customer service was great , lucy was really kind and helpful and made the night a lot easier
C. L.
Great atmosphere and Lucy provided an excellent service from start to finish.
M. M.
Nice place. A bit pricey though. Lovely views of the river. Staff can be a little slow. Nice outdoor terrace upstairs. And lots of outdoor seating. The piano of the name is unfortunately nailed shut, so no playing!
D. M.
Great venue, nice views. Food is good and reasonably priced
J. W.
Nice place to eat and drink. Right on the river with great views. It is quite expensive for what it is. The staff are friendly and helpful however it is not the easiest place for disabled access. There are often queues especially during Covid. I've been here many times and never had a bad experience.
E. N.
Had a fantastic lunch here, Fish n chips, my favourite. The fish was huge, staff really nice, will definitely be back x
J. M.
I've heard the sausage & mash here cures cancer, so I purchased it and I can say with confidence that my cancer has now been cured completely. My astrology sign is now Taurus and my birthday actually went backwards by 2 months, highly recommend. Cancer signs are toxic anyway bestie you don't need that in your life. Beer is pretty solid. They've got Gamma Ray from Beavercity. AGM can't see very far or in a straight line but he'll happily address any issues you have with a very lovely smile and a self-motivated, detail-oriented attitude that works well in a team or as an individual.

Dated now but still got a good view,
And a good place to people watch
D. N.
I booked online.
On arrival we waited at designated area for dining.
Staff noticed us but did not attend to us . We could see that the restaurant was busy and could see there were not any tables ready for us. The staff looked tetchy and hesitant to attend to us . After 5 minutes a member of staff asked if she could help us . I stated that we had a reservation and gave my name. She checked the computer and stated that there were no tables currently ready . We were offered a complementary drink and ushered to the bar area. I was with my 82 year old mother so we had to negotiation the stairs again and stand waiting a further 15 mins for our seat.
The service after this was great. The young man serving us was attentive and polite. Food was lovely . However we did have to wait a good 25bmins for the food after ordering. This caused a little stress as we were attending a concert at either Sage..So the time delays all together out a bit of a dampner on our overall experience.
I would go back to P and P . Hopefully this was just a one off.
M. W.
Issy and Ruth were both amazing at looking after me and my friends tonight! Would definitely recommend! Impecable service, always with a smile
L. S.
We had a table booked and the service was really fast and food was lovely. The staff were very attentive and the app was really good. The toilets were very clean also and I would 100% return. They follow the social distancing rules too.
J. M.
We were a party of 24 and there was plenty of room, a great atmosphere and the meeting point was central and easy to get to for all staff.
J. G.
Lovely place to relax and watch the world go by and also the drink helps!
J. K.
Excellent food just a little bit slow getting drinks orders
M. H.
Great location , friendly staff , good food ..
L. “. P.
Smashing atmosphere lovely food good drinks great view good service
A.
From booking on-line to being greeted at venue, taken to table and served, all was very good indeed. Menu offers a wide range with amazingly reasonable prices, especially for the freshness and quality of the food. Every member of staff could not have been more helpful and friendly. My 1st visit, but not my last! I would thoroughly recommend this venue even more so owing to its stunning location.
A. j.
Beautiful location and view
A. S.
Great venue, drinks reasonably priced and will certainly return
L. S.
A bar with the best views of the Newcastle quayside and a good selection of drinks including cocktails. Head down at sunset for a beautiful photo op.
V. Y.
Fantastic sportsmanship from Jack and Joe along with prompt and courteous service from all at Mandys hen party. Thank you. 😊
E. H.
An amazing meal. Sticky toffee pudding to die for. Great service by a lovely young man. From Yorshire I think. Lovely view. Could of sat there all night. Would definitely recommend it.
S. P.
A good place for food &drinks, great views of the Tyne.tottally recommend
S. B.
Not a bad place. Great location, bar area poor if busy. Drinks expensive.
T. A.
Lovely location
A. A.
Was in for breakfast on Sunday morning. Amber was very helpful and pleasant great service. 😃
S. W.
Nice relaxed afternoon sat in the sun overlooking the water. There was a bit of confusion around table bookings but that was sorted easily. Lovely food, not too pricey and we had an adorable lady waiting on who was so helpful and friendly.
J. D.
Food was ok, and the location was great while having something to eat.
A. L.
Loved the brunch, couldn't walk after... Too much prosecco
J. E.
Nice atmosphere, upbeat vibe, got the wrong drink initially, but staff seemed a little overrun. Would definitely go back. Nice Christmas decorations.
m. w.
Temi was amazing. Best customer service in a long time
A. B.
Great good & drink lovely views & very clean too ☺️
B. K.
This deserves more stars as food was excellent. It was a let down due to the staff. It was not busy and they were more interested in chatting amongst themselves than dealing with the customers. They were polite and helpful when approached though.
E. P.
Fantastic location and really lovely looking out and a little sun trap

Joe B and Amber were amazing hosts - they looked after us superbly
Well done Joe B and Amber

Beer was nice, the view is breath taking.pleant restaurant.I enjoyed been there.
C. T.
Brilliant bar brilliant staff. There were a couple of issues with food. But to be fare its still early Covid days. When we saw what they had ordered we wished we had ordered food. The mistake was well sorted from what I cud see and our our experience of the bar staff was second to none
C. T.
Very enjoyed my time there with friends gathering. Beautiful view of the Riverside. The food was great. Thanks for the service.
J. N.
Had a lovely time, staff are polite and professional. Was hoping for a table facing the river with a heater, but we were given a table at the side and it was blowing a hooli from the Tyne. Still had a nice time. I'd recommend a visit
S. N.
Friendly, helpful staff we were having bottomless brunch and our server was very attentive
C. R.
Good system in place for "drinks only" service, lovely evening by the river.
D. V.
Nice setting and friendly staff.. ordered the 🐔 🥓 and 🥑 🥗....however the avacado was missing in action.
When I questioned this with staff they said, sorry we've ran out. Just seems a bit odd not to mention it at time of ordering or offer an alternative or discount. 🧐
s.
Amazing couldn’t ask for more.
Big thank you to Emily and amber !!
L. T.
I went for the bottomless brunch. And whilst the location and building is beautiful. The food portion size wasn't even enough to feed a child. Nor was it tasty.
J. R.
Oh dear. Brunch time visit. Ordered coffee and chocolate to drink and breakfast. Drinks cold. Meals eventually came and they too were not very warm. Shame it looked like place is quite popular.
T. B.
Gorgeous Christmas dinner for work night out. Fabulous service from our waitress. Top marks P&P
P. W.
Staff were really helpful and friendly . Food was delicious. Lovely Christmas meal.
Z. C.
Lovely place only down side is wet bottoms off the seat cushions.
s. s.
Staff are always pleasant and eager to serve , we didn't have food this time just drinks and had a great night , always stop here for drinks before we got out out and return before heading home , great atmosphere , great place and views at night spectacular 👌👍
D. B.
Staff were so friendly and helpful as my mam was in a wheelchair even though they were very busy as first day
D. E.
Great service , friendly staff and amazing food and drinks. Great view from the restaurant aswell
K. D.
Very nice bar. Great views of the water and the millennium bridge
V. l. D.
Nice coffee stop but very slow service
S. A.
Excellent staff. Emily, Ruth and Becky are fantastic.
S. W.
Lovely place the drinks are not cheap £3.50 for a pint of coke. There is outside seating as well as indoor seating on different levels.
R. F.
The food was nice, service left a lit yo be desired. When I did get someone's attention they were polite but just felt like I was an inconvenience
C. S.
We are here twice last week whilst staying in Newcastle. Good service, friendly staff and delicious food. Can highly recommend.
S. R.
Great location great atmosphere friendly funny staff
D. H.
Good views over the river. Dogs allowed inside too 🐶👍
N. G.
Friendly staff and decent burgers, but severely reduced menu due to staff shortages. Also parts of the outside bench seating seemed to be falling apart.
K. W.
Pretty decent food and drinks although a bit stingey with portion sizes for the price. Ribeye steak was cooked well.
A. H.
Chicken and Bacon Salad was delicious.
Staff super friendly.
Cocktails were great.
A. P.
Great place had a wonderful time here
M. O.
Great location with a beautiful view of the river.

Very pleasant staff quick service my husband loved the fish and chips will recommend .

Great brilliant friendly staff. Only had a coke so don't know about food n drink range but good staff
J. H.
Lovely atmosphere, pleasant staff and delicious food, and reasonably priced what more could I ask.
S. O.
Emily and Corey were the best bartenders! Thank you so much. -Give them a RAISE!!!
J. D.
Good atmosphere great drinks selection
A.
Was really looking forward to a roast dinner but they had none left, so I decided on the sausage and mash which was nice but not the same as a roast. Service was okay but very slow, we ordered a second round of drinks which never came, so decided to go some where else for dessert.
It is a lovely bar and it was a lovely day to be on the Quay, but I've obviously visited on a slightly off day.
A. F.
Lovely views over the river Tyne and good amount of seats for indoor and outdoor. Shame about all the smokers outside especially if you want to enjoy a seat outside on a sunny day. A non smoking ourdoor section would be ideal.
Amy
D. M.
Fabulous! Excellent efficient friendly service, delicious food with great choice, good value for money in a very picturesque setting, with a light relaxing atmosphere
A. Z.
We came this afternoon for some food and drinks. The food was fantastic and so was your service. The chickpea, sweet potato and brocoli curry was incredible. So tasty. I hope you manage through these uncertain times. Thank you.
A. L.
Great location. Sit outside and watch the magnificent millennium bridge turn to allow dingy sized boats through... is too funny. The pub, is a pub. The food I had was cooked well and a good portion; beer on point. There is no real competition in the area, but this pub hasn't skimped.
J. O.
My fiance and I went on our first date here and we still go back every time we're in town, beautiful views and always a great atmosphere.
M. v. d. D.
Great place, really nice view on the bridge, especially when it opens!
A. N.
It was nice meeting with my friends
A. R.
Good food, beautiful ambience and location, but most of the staff is least interested. Poor Service.
J. A.
Food was great and the service was amazing. Thank you Lucy
D. L.
It was OK.. The staff was nice. Everything was very comfortable well distanced tables. Only fault was the food we had fish and chips bit cold a. Fish was a little over cooked were it goes hard. Very small portions.. Cheesecake was lovely
T. A.
Excellent service great atmosphere and always busy
F. K.
Nice view nice food and drinks. Definetely recommended
V. M.
Great atmosphere. Facing the river. Really nice place. Smokers area have heaters. Great place for meeting up.
J. T.
I don't know whether it's a consequence of covid but it seems like all the bars are charging ridiculous prices for their drinks.
I ended up just having a glass of coke which was full of ice, it was nice enough but still cost £3 odd.
n. s.
Love this place food is always good and not badly prices
b. t.
Great place to sit n drink👍
A. F.
Bit disappointed with the time it took to get our drinks (about 30mins for 3 drinks). Table next to us had bigger issues. Was all good when they eventually arrived though
J. B.
COVID COMPLIENT!! WOO!! The Pitcher and Piano is fantastic. All staff wear masks, and the front staff also enforces customers to wear masks as they enter. The place really gets hopping, but we'll regulated. Book in advance though! On a sunny day they completely fill up. Inside by reservation, outside is first come, first serve.
S. S.
Had a couple of nice cocktails on Sunday evening, tables were not wiped but bartender took pride in making a really nice drink and all staff are friendly but professional when they speak to you which is good.
Decor is quite nice, but all needs a bit of a spring clean. Dust on artificial flowers and stains on upholstery.
Had breakfast next morning and waited but ended up finding our own menu from another table then waited again before giving up on table service and ordering at the bar. Poached egg and maple bacon was really nice.
H. C.
Visited for bottomeless brunch. Really nice food and great service.
J. C.
Good grub, perfect outside location when its sunny. Cocktail mix up but staff very attentive and dealt with quickly.
M. C.
Me and my fiancée came out for an evening meal and were pleasantly surprised by the quality of not only the food at pitcher and piano, but also the service. The young lady (I believe her name was Gemma) serving us was polite, and efficient and incredibly friendly. The food came our to us very quickly considering how busy and clearly short staffed the restaurant was. The food itself was incredible, I particularly enjoyed the gunpowder potatoes and my partner very much enjoyed the cajun buttermilk burger. Without a doubt we will be coming back again. I only feel bad that we couldn't leave a tip as the card pos system had just been updated not allowing for a tip to be left and we didn't have any cash! We're very sorry! '
N. W.
This is a great place to sit and relax, its near the river and the Millennium bridge. If you get here near sunset you will get a great view as the sun drops and the lights on the bridge turn on. The service was amazing and the food was good. There is a bit of a challenge if you decide to walk here as all the ways our are up hill, which is a great after eating and drinking.
M. G.
Came here after a works meal out at the local Tomahawk's. The bar wasnt too busy and we were quickly served. Prices were decent and the drinks were good (a few of us had cocktails). Bar staff are friendly and there is plenty of seating and you get a good view of the tyne. Next time our out in Newcastle, give these a try!
L. T.
It's a great space, but service during Vivid is a bit lacking. However, this is probably not the fault of staff, rather an issue of restrictions in place. Still worth a visit.
t. a.
Glass building over looking the river and bridge nice view. great food good staff
M. C.
Enjoyed it here, great seating area on the roof makes for a relaxing romantic experience with your partner. Lots of space here, and a couple of bars. One was closed near the terrace so you just take a small walk down to the main bar. It's expensive for drinks so bear this in mind before you visit.
G. Z.
Nice place with 2 floors by the River Tyne in Newcastle. Its a must place for every traveller and not only. Quite reasonable prices , great selection of beers and spirits. You have a great view of the river of course. At the upper floor there is space outside with tables if you're a smoker. I recommend this place at least for a visit
D. C.
Great food with awesome view of Tyne
N. Q.
Love coming here, lovely views of the river tyne, lovely staff, very acommadating and lovely food
G. M.
Chill vibe, good for a drink with friends or a quick date. I came here with a friend to grab dinner. Although the atmosphere was okay and the staff was very friendly the food was a bit disappointing. Our large platter was full of potatoes, the boring part of the dish. The bao buns were dry and flavourless. The onion rings over battered. The cauliflower was my favourite. However, the food portion was more than sufficient and the staff was very friendly. The location is by the river and the Baltic, ideal for a quick bite after visiting the art gallery.
C. D.
It was pretty busy at 1pm and the staff were kept going. Meal was lovely but service was a bit slow, probably due to half price meals during August and alot of orders being placed. Pesky seagull kept pinching left-overs from nearby tables...
C. W. (.
Love this place! Extremely friendly staff that is happy to help and delicious food. The Bao Buns with crispy pork are an excellent starter that will surely put a smile on your face. As for the pulled beef burger, if you're lactose intolerant and need to leave the cheese out, I'd choose a different one. Make sure to book a table to ensure a nice view over the Tyne river. Overall, very high quality food for a decent price. Worth every penny 👌🏼
S. K.
Great service, good food and a lovely location overlooking the Tyne River.
N. M. (.
Lovely restaurant how cosy and so inviting place the view is amazing and the food is cooked from scratch by the very experienced chefs I truly love it please give them a visit anytime with your family kids it is lovely and you will love it to
J. M.
An impressive looking restaurant and bar overlooking the river. A varied menu at reasonable prices. However, extremely slow service with lack lustre waiters/waitresses. The food was only ok when it eventually arrived. The tea we ordered at the end was lukewarm as the staff were too busy talking and left it waiting until we asked. Will not return there unfortunately...maybe for a drink but not to eat.
l. g.
Friendly staff. Ambient friendly atmosphere, fantastic views.
K. O.
The views are amazing, the food is great all that lets it down is the timidness of the staff. The staff are lovely and friendly but fail to maintain a luxurious atmosphere. My example being that whilst there, there were 2 children running around the seats, banging, screaming and throwing paper aeroplanes for a good half an hour before a customer asked the staff to intervene, which the staff did loosely.
I would go here again but would not order food
P. M.
Amazing selection of beverages on offer !
J. B.
Food was lovely. Staff really friendly . Highly reccomend
G. K.
Good location on the quayside with great views of the iconic bridges across the river Tyne.
Service is friendly and attentive, although as this place is usually pretty busy, be prepared to wait for service from time to time.
A good selection of food to choose from and quality has always been good when I've been there.
Not the cheapest place to eat, but you do get what you pay for here.
Good value and would definitely recommend.
C. M.
Lovely staff, gorgeous food. Took every precaution needed, and we had bad weather but still a lovely day out. 😊 thank you
H. M.
Sat outside in the sun having a business meeting till the rain started. The staff put the big umbrellas up and were excellent throughout our couple of hours we we're there.Very covid safe.
s. c.
Great visit, food excellent and the staff brilliant
H. B.
Always enjoy the atmosphere here. A busy place so expect a wait at the bar, that's because it's so popular!. Love sitting outside on the quay with friends enjoying cocktails. Staff have always been very helpful and friendly with me even though they are always very busy. A lovely way to spend a few hours in the sun next to the water.
M. L.
Nice place for drinks with a view on the river
D. J.
Great bar with fabulous views of the river Tyne and the Millennium Bridge as it is located right outside it. Bar can get very busy and it is normally best to stand / sit outside as it does get crowded. Staff are friendly and the door staff are also and well mannered. It can take a while to get served due to the popularity and the only downside to the bar is it's location in some ways, as it is located a decent walk along from the main nightlife (although you won't need a taxi, just a decent walk). Very popular after race day and if the weather is decent. Definitely worth a visit.
J. P. E.
Great location, nice food and amazing atmosphere (on sunny days). One of, if not the best, place to enjoy a meal or a drink by the Quayside in Newcastle!
S. C.
The atmosphere was lovely, it was very relaxing sitting by the Tyne enjoying a wine.
The waiters were very friendly but the waitresses should learn some customer service skills and learn how to smile.
S. W.
Delicious food in a delightful water front setting. Good value and friendly service too.
l. t.
Emily is amazing she was so good with us
D. T.
Great location with lovely view of the Baltic, Sage and Millennium Bridge. Food is good and not too pricey.
L. K.
A lunch with great views and what a lovely team!

Standard chain. Nice drinks in the sunshine .

Lovely pub, friendly staff and great view of the river! Great spot to stop for drink and lunch while exploring Newcastle
C. P. p. f. M. T.
Lovely place on the river by the bridge, day or night!
R. B.
Fantastic chilled bar/restaurant, great choice of food and drinks 👍🏻
S. M.
Great location by the River Tyne. Good sized, bright pub. We went (with kids) on a Saturday afternoon and although it was busy we got a couple of tables. Staff were friendly. Ladies loos were clean although upstairs (not sure if there are loos on the ground floor). Been here on a couple of occasions when visiting Newcastle and it hasn't disappointed as a great lively place for a beer and a chat.
j. c.
Visited here on many occasions. Only had coffee this time. Plenty of seating outside. View is magnificent. Quite busy considering it was early. People enjoying breakfasts or just a cold drink. Offer of three small plates and bottle of wine for £24. 95. This seemed expensive at first glance but most places in town charge £17 for bottle of wine, so for two people not a bad lunch.
D. M.
Great place to eat. Lovely views of the Tyne and they do a great range of cocktails. Food was great as was the cocktails
N. S.
Great place just beside River Tyne, Newcastle. Also open air tables are available with direct view of River Tyne
S. T. R. N.
It's got a really nice place to sit looking over the quayside but the drinks are super expensive (£5+ a pint) and the feel isn't that good. I don't think it's got anything on y somewhere like pleased to meet you. It does however always have a few tourists around so it doesn't feel too quiet mid week.
P. W.
Always good but sometimes service is a bit slow
A. J.
Waited 15 mins to get served with cup if tea not busy
M. N.
Food lovely bar staff not very good waited 10 mins to get served
K. O.
Really nice Riverside bar. Expect prices of around £5 for a pint but in the area it's in this is not actually too bad. Almost touches the millennium bridge so if you've been for a nice meal like we did and your looking for a place to have a couple of drinks in a lovely sophisticated bar then this is the place to go
P. T.
The grass is greener on the other side, so they say. There is no grass here to play a Wicket of Cricket on!!! No Crisps, Nuts or Pork Scratchings......pity 🤔
N. W.
Lovely pre-meal meeting place
R. G.
Jack was amazing and really friendly!
M. H.
Lovely staff, lovely food and drinks. Lovely views of the Tyne. 10/10 would recommend.
b.
Popular chain pub serving drinks and food, lovely location on the Quayside.
S. M.
Nice food but service a bit slow, presumably down to table service only situation.
Had to wait for a while for our prebooked table.
B. M.
Love it here. Great drinks menu havent tried food but always smells amazing. Fantastic location on river via millennium Bridge.
H. H.
Not a regular to Newcastle. Found it expensive. More staff was needed as we had to queue. Had seats outside with a lovely view of the quayside. There is a balcony upatairs but inside was spacious and clean.
M. D.
Perfect! Big success! We have just had our company Summer Party here, upstairs on the Mezzanine Floor. The views were fantastic, the space was more than adequate (100 people) and the outside terrace (private to us) was fab. The food was excellent and well presented and although the place was packed elsewhere (Saturday night) it did not impact on our party in any way; in terms of food or service. The staff were very friendly and attentive and made sure everything ran smoothly. Would recommend for any party, large or small. Would certainly go back; everyone loved it.
C. E.
A lovely location but food portions are small. My husband had pasta and a whole sharing dessert to himself(that would be a regular dessert anywhere else- 2spoons does not make it a sharing dessert) but he still left hungry after spending £20 on food. We won't be eating here again.
A. I.
Lively place looking across the river Tyne at the Baltic museum and the millennium bridge. Large selection of drinks available. Food available, menu is normal pub food at reasonable prices. There are areas available to book for private functions. A great meeting place, popular with tourists. The location is one of the main reasons people come here.
e. g.
Haven't been for a while but decided to go as meeting a friend who works near there. Service impeccable. Food not good. I ordered salmon salad. The salmon ...well what salmon? The amount of fish on the plate wasnt even the size of a small fist. So I paid over £10 for lettuce! ! Wine was nice.
C. B.
Good space in a good location alongside the river. Food was tasty and we'll priced. Different seating areas, including booths, upper and lower bar and roof terrace.
Staff were friendly, helpful - nice relaxed atmosphere making it a good choice to spend a evening with friends.
I. L.
Servers were a bit rude and didn't seem to know their own menu , coffee was decent
L. W.
Location is great with nice ambience. Food was disappointing. I had halloumi and aubergine burger which was tasteless. The batter had little seasoning and distracted from rather than enhancing the halloumi. The sauce looked pretty but again little favour. The aubergine did at least taste of aubergine but not much it could do to list the rest.
I also ordered onion rings which were advertised as salt and vinegar but had no evidence if either and so were just as tasteless. Service was good though.
A. C.
Food was really good, the only fault I had the tables are too near one another.
T. R.
Food was ok but menu substutions without being advised and drink service was slow.
D. S.
Not really my cup of tea but what it does it does well. We went for a colleagues' retirement and it's beautifully positioned on the side of the Tyne with views across the Millennium bridge to the Sage. Unbeatable on a summers' evening. Not a place to go for a cheap drink but that's any big city bar or restaurant. If you love the loud buzz of the city you'll love the Pitcher and Piano.
T. K.
Just had coffee. The place was the most busy plane
J. P.
Great food and great service from Jack
E. W.
Perfect place for food and drink overlooking the bridges of Newcastle. We had an amazing sunny day sat drinking and eating and to top it off the bridge was raised to let a ship through ☺️
U. V. (.
My favourite place. Staff very friendly, enviroment, and view from the window.
F. S.
Decent enough pub with beautiful views but it does get very loud and the acoustics of the building don't handle it well. There is an outside roof terrace though, with heaters, so it is possible to escape temporarily if there is any space left out there. Friendly enough staff.
P. G.
Took a LONG time to get served here despite it not being very busy. A couple of blokes near me gave up and went elsewhere.
N. M.
Nice bar, lots of varied seating inside and outside..good selection of drinks..
A. H.
Beautiful location on the Newcastle Quayside, with an excellent selection of wine and meals on offer. Will cater to any event you like, and the friendly staff will be happy to help in any way they can. Brilliant selection of local ales, wines, and spirits.
D. T.
Everything was great with food & drinks but the service was abit slow & some of the staff looked lost & were very disorganized they dodnt seem to know what they were doing
J. I.
Ordered drinks using the app but although a busy time there were delays. Food was ok not brilliant tho. Also expensive but everywhere is.
A. B.
What an awesome place with a great view of the millennium bridge. Such a trendy modern place to get a good meal. Service was quick and friendly. A small tip would be look up because there is a lot of cool stuff hanging high up on the walls.
K. C.
Being just on the banks of the Tyne river opposite the Baltic means it's in the best position to walk across and watch the millennium bridge go up and down. Brilliant position and lots of out door seating.
Drinks are good and great atmosphere every time I've been in 👍👍
S. S.
Lovely bar, but the food was poor . Ran out of brandy???
P. M.
Good pub on bustling Newcastle Quayside, with great views of the river and bridges. Bar service is friendly, but can be slow. Poor acoustics which amplify noise. Nice outdoor seating area on riverside. Small balcony seating area, too.
S. C.
Excellent cocktails and a very good location. Would visit again.
F. L.
Went here as an Australian tourist during winter last year, such an amazing place for a nice feed and a great view along the river Tyne. Honestly it was one of the best nights I had in England. Great place, great city, great people.
O. g.
A university-aged clientele (but I didn't feel toooooo-old at 46 yrs, me having a night out on my own as was on company business). A very friendly, vibrant place, picturesque next to the river. (Guinness was served top notch, I gave a 9/10 for the pour!)
P. R.
It's probably the trendiest pub on the quayside. Plenty of space and a great viewing gallery for the river events. Drinks are expectantly expensive. Popular for cocktails which makes for a loooong wait getting served at peak drinking times
j. S.
Lovely pub right on the quayside of Newcastle, staff helpful with table service, would recommend this place.
L. R.
Lovely outdoor area in harrogate. On a lively street. Lovely place to relax with an aperol spritz and people watch
P. P.
Lots of the beers advertised were not available. The food was decent though

We popped in for a morning coffee (they serve illy brand) but they don't serve biscuits or snacks before lunch, only a breakfast menu. Shabby chic decor with terrace and quayside seating overlooking the Baltic. We liked the casual, relaxed atmosphere.

1st class location, 2nd class and reliable food, drinks - well sort of fine. Atmosphere is great, if you don't mind noise. Very popular place, esp. in good weather.

Amazing view across the tyne and overlooking the millenium bridge . Big variety of beer selection and cocktails . Trendy cocktail bar with nice indoor decoration and outdoor terrace . Fair prices . Cheers ... i loved this place where we only had drinks and chilled while watching the view. Comfy indoor seats

Very busy bar where you can sit in or out on the banks of the Tyne and watch the world go by with a great drinks menu. See the Sage, art gallery and Newcastle bridges opposite this bar. Very pleasant.

Always have a good time here.
Annual reunions held here.
If anything, can get very, very noisey, the music volume that is. The speakers are just below the upstairs function room.
Staff are always friendly and are ony too plrases to keep the customers happy.
Recomended.

Beautiful place on the tyne river, just across the Millenium bridge, if the timing is right, you can see the bridge swing as well. Evening, the best time to get here, have a drink and watch the river flow... Beautiful.

Fantastic breakfast food with friendly and attentive staff. Have only visited on an evening a couple of times - once midweek where it was enjoyable but another time when a live band was playing, and although they were good, wasn't ideal for us as a group.

Lovely Riverside pub.

Great location, excellent selection of drinks, unfortunately it takes so long to get served it can make it difficult if in a big group. And if someone in your group orders a cocktail expect a bit of a wait! But polite and friendly staff.
