Had such a fab meal today. Highly recommend the posh fish finger sandwich, which was just lovely and the double cooked chips were perfect. My friends had the quiche, which we had a very short wait to receive it freshly made, they said it was absolutely delicious. This was also accompanied by double cooked chips, crispy and golden and also homemade coleslaw. Staff are just so lovely, always so attentive, nothing is too much trouble. Definitely worth a visit and enjoy fresh homecooked food x

Nice little pub in a very quiet area, good beer, dog friendly and they've just updated the menu, the pizzas are really good! Good seating at the front and also have a good size enclosed area at the back with a small play area for kids. Lovely place to spend a warm afternoon.

Sunday lunch for 5. Huge portions, best garlic mushrooms as a starter we have tasted in a while Tomato and red pepper soup was very nice. Lunch was very filling no room for dessert. Sam and staff are very attentive and cheerful.

We used to really enjoy coming here, but since the ownership change the menu is not as good, but worse the play area in the back has been closed completely. No info if they plan to reopen it, it was completely overgrown and locked over Jubilee weekend. I'm pretty sure I could have driven nails with the dumpling on my mince, too. Portion sizes for what entrees are still on the menu have dropped dramatically and quality was down. Prices, like everywhere, are up. No pies, I don't think they do curries anymore, etc. Hoping it's just growing pains with a change in ownership and they'll level out eventually, because this used to be a gem of a pub. Three stars because you can still get a pint and the outdoor seating out front is still nice 🤷‍♀️

Good food really well priced. Nice to sit out front in the garden or nice garden with play area in the back aswell. A bit dated inside but lovely on a nice day if you want to be outside. Quiet little area aswell.

Came for Sunday Lunch, was ok. Beef alittle over cooked, veg not much taste & watery Gravy. (Swap cauliflower for Brocoli) Was expecting changes to pub but nothing changed except moving around of tables. Very overgrown back garden. Couldn't even see picnic tables the grass was that big. My little one was gutted as he always liked to play outside. Hopefully a new revamped back garden & kids equipment will be on the cards and we will return.

Hard to tell really, seen some reviews on here saying the food is good. Went there recently for last minute meal, the food is absolutely cheap as chips, which isn't necessarily a bad thing! I'm talking about 5 pounds a meal, which I think is pretty cheap for a meal put! Went it, it wasn't the most cleanly of places, food all over the floor, old bar furniture, so we decided not to eat there Staff were friendly though, and the pub is dog friendly. Can't review the pub on a valid bases, so I have give 3 stars for now. I will update if I ever go back!

Fabulous home cooked food. Huge portions. Excellent value for money. Staff are so friendly and welcoming. Nothing is too much trouble. Nice large outdoor areas at front and back with a little play area at the back. Would definitely recommend.

Fantastic food and a warm welcome everytime you visit. I have been here on numerous occasions , th landlord may appear a bit grumpy but if really isn't. There is always a warm fire to welcome you on the cold winter day, with a brilliant choice of meals at very competitive prices.

Place is not the most fanciest of pubs, however the staff are friendly and helpful and they have some good deals on the food. The fish and chips served at lunchtimes are particularly good and The Thursday evening 2 for £6 curries are good value.

The Robin Hood is an excellent place to go for delicious home cooked food. We have been there on a weekday for steak pie and chips, but the main day we go is on Sunday for the three course lunch. Believe me when I say that it is very good value for money. We pay £32 approximately for four Sunday lunches,three to eat in and one take out. That includes two pints,one of coke,one of lime and soda and a half of cider. The soup is piping hot and could be a meal in itself if you are so inclined. The main consists of a choice between beef,pork,chicken. You can have some of all three if you wish. Then there's a Yorkshire pudding,two if you want,for an extra Twenty pence. Stuffing and all the veggies,roast potatoes,peas,carrots,cabbage and cauliflower, lastly lashings of lovely gravy. The final course is a choice between strawberry or chocolate gateaux or apple pie. With that you can have ice cream or cream. I think you can have custard,hot or cold with your apple pie. We always take our dog as the pub is dog friendly. You must keep it on the lead though,but it's not a problem. I would recommend this pub to anyone wanting good food,a friendly atmosphere and value for money. I have to add the staff and their names as I didn't know them at first. They are- Linda the boss. A lovely bubbly lady with a personality to match. She mostly is in the background seeing to the preparation and cooking of all the meals (I think). Then you have Joker Joyce serving at the bar. Dawn serves the lovely food, she's cheeky at times lol. Sarah and Isobel are always on hand doing the clearing of tables and serving up the delicious desserts. I hope I haven't missed anyone out.

If you like frozen chips and cheap food this is the place for you. The mixed grill comprised frozen sausages, bit of steak, egg, frozen chips, black pudding and gammon. And they stop serving food at 7.45pm.
