E. P.It's been a while since our last visit but today we finally went for cheap (Wednesday / Friday) chicken wings and had a great time! Honestly, I loved the atmosphere and quality of the wings was good, especially considering the price. There's fewer flavours than in the past but the favourites were still there. Our waitress Olivia was really good at getting the drinks correct and took our orders swiftly, and the wings came quickly.
10/10 wing night. Tasty with good service.
(for the record, there were both people drinking and not drinking on our table and I had a great time even sober. We did arrive for 6pm though)

A. P.Nice bar to watch the football in with St James' Park visible right across the road. Good selection of beers and cider on tap and bottle. Very minimal selection of food if you're vegan, so definitely not a place to go if you want dinner as well.

Certainly not our scene but seems like a great place for anyone that does enjoy football. Fairly loud, but we could still hear eachother. Food wasn't anything to write home about but pleasant enough and not too pricey.
A.Fair enough. Took almost an hour after being seated to get a waitress to attend to myself and a group a friends. However, food came faster than expected after getting (practically begging) a hold of someone to attend to our table.

N. L.Wing Wednesdays. 45p per wing is great. There’s loads of screens so anywhere you sit your able to watch any sport. The customer service there is the best I’ve ever gotten from any restaurant. Staff are so friendly and polite. Constantly asking if l need serving and they have food out very quickly I want to fully recommend this place to the point I’d rather not write this review so there’s always at least 1 table.
M. J. L.Wings Wednesdays and Fridays. 10 wings for £4.90. Many flavours to choose from. Jack Daniels wings are the best. Must book to get seated as its always busy on these days. Not the most attentive staff but all are nice and friendly. Love the place.

Was packed as expected due to the Newcastle v Rochdale game but good atmosphere.
TV’s everywhere and looks a good spot to catch any sport.
Waited 40 mins for food but was so busy and was decent when it finally came. Rump Steak Sandwich with rocket & Parmesan was spot on.
Kids had burgers and pizza which they devoured.
Staff friendly and helpful.
Defo recommend if you’re up in Newcastle.

A. P.Good bar and good atmosphere with great location for the Newcastle ground. Only issue we had was the bouncer picked a random person from our group and kicked him out. Came back in and said he had to go as he was too drunk which had no logic as we'd all only had a few and we're all well behaved. Still good though, shame he had to make a point.
M. L.We went for the 37p wing deal, available Wednesday's and Friday's. The wings were surprisingly meaty and there was a lot of types to choose from but most of them were spicy / salty and so I think the selection could be more varied. Drinks are not cheap but expected for a hotel bar in its location however with the wing deal the overall bill was under 30 for 3 people. The round booth table we sat at was tight and not at all comfortable, did not leave a lot of room especially for a larger fella like me. Overall good but would not make it a regular.
M. v. d. K.Not really my kind of place, but since we wanted to watch Formula 1 during our stay in Newcastle, we decided to go here. It's big, tv's everywhere (good thing for a sports bar, obviously!) and upon request they turned on F1, even on the big screen above the bar. Service is ok. Very young personnel and I guess the girls are hired as waitresses to create a certain atmosphere which I personally don't like that much. The burger and chips were very good tho, but not very big for the money.

J. R.I hit this joint to commence a stag do on a Saturday afternoon in June, having been in the place a couple of times previous. It was pretty quiet and live international cricket was on the box. There are plenty of top quality telly screens around so you won't miss the sports action. The bar has just undergone a refurb so it looks fresh (it did beforehand I thought) and there are quite a few seats and booths to capture if you're lucky. For our group of ten or so guys buying pints at the bar, the service was absolutely sound. City central prices are evident so don't come with merely a fiver. On match days I imagine it'll be rammed to the max, so unless you're a 6'5" meathead, you might want to steer clear during these times if you want to get to the bar.

It's a wee bit more pricy than other bars in town but the service and food quality more than makes up for it.
The staff are knowledgeable, attentive and if there is a delay they always explain and make up for it.
I'm more than happy to paya a few extra quid on a day out to get this level of service.

S. M.The staff, drinks, and chicken wings are all awesome. But the place is always overcrowded. Even when you book in advance they squash you in so it's difficult and sometimes uncomfortable to enjoy their amazing wings.
Wish they'd expand premises or open a new one.
R. W.A quality bar in the shadow of St. James park, a little more expensive that other bars in town but staff are always happy to stop and have a chat. Table service and good food, avoid match day if you are wanting a quiet afternoon drink.

The only downside for me is that it's very cramped if you want to sit around the tables in one of the bays when there is more than 3 of you in a group. The tables up there are round and there's very little leg room

M. W.Could be a decent sports bar, BUT, limited to two concurrent channels across all 30 or so screens. So, we found ourselves watching rangers vs livingstone of the SPL on a 4g pitch at one end of the bar, while 2 premier league teams played on the rest of the screens not in our view. The only audio meanwhile was of the EPL match we weren’t able to see!
They couldnt change our screens as apparently one table had reserved a table to watch the spl tie.
Also, reserve a table. All but 1 in the entire place was reserved when we got there.

P. B.We went on new years day which we do every year. It was quiet and you get table service. Food was great and not expensive and beer was good. Bar manager gave us a beer on the house as we go every new year a really nice touch

M. D.This is a really strange aquarium.
There’s an elaborate drinks reception before they take you to visit the sea creatures, which lots of shouting people went to. Everyone was so amped up for visiting the fish! It probably lasted a bit too long because I ended up having a lot of pre-fish drinks and it made me miss the start of the tour. I tried to get through the doors at the back but people kept stopping me so it must have been an entourage-only deal.
I did a few laps of the place while I waited for another guide and took in the sights.
There was an overwhelming presence of lads swallowing identical pints. I approached one of the groups and asked about the fish. “I can drink like a fish”, one of them screamed at me in response, his eyes pointing at different parts of the ceiling. He’d clearly got way too worked up so I left him to it.
All of the TVs had football on which I thought was a lamentable waste of an opportunity to whet our appetites for aquatic goings-on with some well-placed fish footage. The really smart thing to do would be put on clips of fish that live at the aquarium so that when you go in you get to meet famous sea life from TV.
Some particularly sadistic people had cooked fish brought out to their table. I assume they were at the end of the tour and this was a situation similar to when you get to the end of a museum and they bottleneck you in the gift shop while you look for the exit, except instead of yo-yos and mini versions of the exhibits you get offered the aquariums ex-residents. Or maybe when you’re enjoying the fish and you spot one you really like the look of the staff give you the option to take it to the next level.
I didn’t actually get around to visiting the fish tanks or trying the eponymous Shark Bars, but did watch two soaking wet men attack each other which pretty much satisfied my desire to see something get bitten.
