Fab pub if you don't mind four flights of stairs to get up there! Great staff. Good atmosphere.

Nice upmarket cocktail bar in the centre of Newcastle. Drinks are a bit more expensive here but the atmosphere is class and service is friendly and welcoming.

Loved the decor and design, music just right volume, both nights been here, Friday and Tuesday, very reasonable prices, especially my double vodkas! Barman was friendly and communication good, love the historic pictures also, comfy leather back seating, Kudos to the barman ( Brad ) even when somebody was looking for a specific Ale, he told them where they could find those ales in town, lovely.

Reasonable prices.. nice, friendly staff. Great views from window seats.. Kitchen was being renovated when we visited. Only downside, decor, and seating very tired and worn.. splits in plastic seat coverings etc.. yet we still always pop in if we are in Newcastle; you can relax looking at the fabulous view out of the windows, watching hundreds of people go by because of how high you are, quite relaxing.

Bang in the middle of the city centre, good place to get a drink mid shopping,staff are friendly and helpful

Always a good pint in here. Their house red wine is also recommended. Reasonable prices aswell. It's good when you manage to get a window seat so you can 'people watch' around the monument below.

Great bar in the center for a drink, staff are friendly, drinks are done well. What you see is what you get, could do with a refurb. Mark the barman is brilliant though, really made our time there. Great laugh.

Good location, good selection of drinks and not too pricey compared to a lot of other Grey Street pubs. In desperate need of a makeover, with a lot of the seat covers either completely ruined or on their way out. Nice views from the windows of monument but the style is very out of date. With a facelift it could turn into a fantastic spot.

It is what it is! Nice few relaxed quiet pints before and after the match never nee doylums in I like it! I see people whinging about prices of drinks!! Well go to the garter or clock if your looking for cheap drinks! Personally I'll just stick with Charles grey it's easier for a few coppers more

The window tables overlooking Monument are the best people watching vantage points in the city. Good booze selection - the happy hour cocktails are definitely worth a look. Be aware that the entrance is up several flights of stairs.

Nothing too impressive on the inside; it looks like a chain pub and as a result it lacks character. That said, it has one of the best views of any bar in Newcastle overlooking Grey's Monument at the top of Grainger Town and the outdoor space they have right next to the monument can be really nice to sit in when the sun is shining.

Great cocktails made to order and properly mixed. Between 5 and 8pm (I think) it’s 2 cocktails for £7.95, what else could you need?

Lovely bar. Sometime but not often go here. There is sometimes a massive bell end from Thorne there. They call him g.ridgill. People watching, something about lips and off them....

At the window you can see the people down in the square what is going on or not😂 .... (Original) Uriges Pub in Newcastle. Alter Charme, abgelaufene Teppiche, dunkeler Eingang...was will man mehr? Gute Bierauswahl .....wenn man dann oben sitzt einfach sehr schön und rustikal. Am Fenster kann man den Menschen unten auf dem Platz zu sehen was so läuft oder nicht😂....
