Reviews of The Collingwood Arms
I. P.
Great place. Good atmosphere and beer. Price slightly more than usual but worth it.
W. S.
Great little pub tucked out of the way just of Osbourne Road but away from all the madness. A great local. 👍
K. P.
This is a proper pub with a seafaring vibe. Outdoor tables too. Lots of atmosphere.
A. W.
Nice pub, good location and a good pint of Landlord, will have to go back
R. F.
Great little pub . Fantastic staff and some nice street food on Tues and a good quiz on a Monday
R. L.
Great 19th century appearance pub. When there is lots of gloss and sheen to bar culture now being able to go to a proper pub with wood beams, sturdy wooden furniture and a good atmosphere is really great. Also its dog friendly which is a plus.
J. C.
First time visiting, staff were fantastic and great banter! Definitely be back next time I’m up that way!
P. T.
Great pub, nice beer well kept, friendly staff. Also dog friendly.
L. W.
A great cosy pub, I love coming here.
L. f.
Lovely old pub, love drinking here.

This is a beautiful traditional British pub with lots of nooks and crannies to sit in. There is a good selection of beers, and alcoholic beverages as well as coffee and tea which is beautifully served in a China pot and cup.
They also show sport on a big screen and there are board games to play. The outside area is beautiful on a sunny day the only down side is that this is catering for individuals who smoke. This pub is dog friendly.

Great traditional pub with free parking
J. N. R.
Rightly busier then it used to be (but not too busy) and food more gastro than I need it to be. The beers decent and the staff and locals are nice. It's also in a quiet spot which gives it a different and more special feel.
F. M.
Cosy quiet pub, decent selection of beers wines and cider. Board games available. Dog friendly and outside seating available among plenteous flower baskets and tubs. Service a bit slow though and prices on toppy side.
T. E.
Liked the vegan pizza here 😋
G. R.
Great choice of real ales. Only complaint would be £3.50+ a pint whereas we pay £2.20 for a pint of London Pride! How these rich northerners afford a night out?
M. J.
Excellent atmosphere. Real flame fire. Guest beers.
C. B.
Very traditional, cosy, relaxing pub. The beers were excellent without exception - wainwrights ale, landlord and deuchars IPA. Great for quiet chats, working out of home etc.

Every pub should have rummikub!
A. N.
Nice enough. Could be warmer (in more ways than one). The bar staff can be a little cold and unfriendly to people who aren't regulars, but the pub is pretty good. Dog friendly too.
T. J.
Lovely pub in Jesmond away from the commercialised Osbourne Rd. Good selection of ales, lagers and spirits, friendly staff. ( Food available, but I have not eaten there yet)
S. C.
Enjoyed this place, very friendly staff, good ale, good prices, what more would you want?

We visited on a Monday night so the place was very quiet. Inside was very warm so most were sat on the tables outside. Good service and a reasonable selection of beers.
R. C.
Good little dog friendly pub.
Log fires. Good atmosphere. Makes the most of a small outside space. Food is decent.
Beer selection a bit limited.

It's a nice cosy little pub. Has tv present showing rugby and football if that's what you are after. I was a little disappointed that they wouldn't make me a coffee or a tea due to the kitchen being too busy. I could see in the kitchen and I nothing was going on in their. I was driving and don't drink soft drinks as they have too much sugar, due to the fact they refused to make me a tea or coffee I ended up drinking tap water. How much effort is it to stick a kettle on?
S. C.
Excellent pub. Serving great beers, lagers & wines (I don't drink spirits so can't comment). Food is also brilliant and varied.
D. M.

Lovely traditional urban pub. Good beer (so I am told) reasonable wine list, excellent Thai and Mexican pub food.
A. F.
Went back after 35 years and it's still the same wonderful pub that it was, although the clientele are no longer the young crowd as when I used to go there in the early 80s.
S. F.
Charming pub interior and a Thai curry for £4.95 :) Enjoyed on a Thursday night with some drinks and a game of Catan. Cosy atmosphere; very easy to settle in.
