Decent pint of Guinness at an OK price, sat outside (hence 3 ☆ rating as can't say I looked about anywhere, nor had food or any other drinks). Seats were OK outdoors but due to location, quite a bit traffic about (but it was a nice sunny day so didn't matter, although for some it might). Would happily get off the bus a couple of stops early to have a drink in here though.

Been to this restaurant many times , it’s clean and welcoming . I even had a Xmas meal here . Ive enjoyed every meal until this last Sunday lunch . There was nothing wrong with the meal it just left me flat . It was just a meal you could cook at home . Gravy should be separate my husband dislikes a lot of gravy on his meals and as the gravy was put on in the kitchen he was given no choice in the matter . Overall disappointed

Don't normally write reviews, I ordered a breakfast and a brunch sandwich today, delivered very quickly, piping hot well cooked the way I like it, good presentatin, very tasty and reasonably priced. Thankyou, I will be recommending and ordering again.

Took over an hour to get food, and the chips were rubbery and cold, however after speaking to the manager she was able to refund us for the chips, and the bar staff were great.

My wife and I used an Ember Inn near Leeds and were impressed with the quality of food and service I was delighted to find a 'local' Ember Inn near where we live I was also very pleased to note the same good quality of food and service Extensive menu including a meal deal of courses as well as a standard menu and a menu for children Staff very good in their care and attention during our visit We will be going back!

A warm and friendly atmosphere. It has to be the most welcoming pub in the local area. You have to pay for parking which makes no sense given the location, unless people park there when going to crematorium? You get the money back when you buy a drink at the bar but it is an irritant. Nice fire to keep you warm in winter as well

Went with my fella and son for Sunday dinner, food was great and portions are massive! Also witnessed the staff and local customers dealing effectivly with an individual who was very abusive to his partner and child. They got him to leave without it getting out of hand so his partner and child could finish their dinner in peace and the rest of the patrons could do the same. As a former Landlady I was very impressed with the food, prices (3 of us had sunday lunch, pudding and drinks for £45 :) friendly staff and protective local patrons. would happily go there with my family again.

A lovely Sunday meal served very promptly and by very polite staff. Love this place for a first time experience and will definitely be returning. There is parking at the site which is an expensive and places are limited but we managed to find a space quite easy.

Where is that Geordie hospitality I've heard of. Sour enough to turn milk. Quick edit after reading the reply from the Denton. You need to communicate to show a sense of humour. There was no greeting and you were miserable so no it wasn't Geordie sense of humour. Me dad is a Geordie so for 55 years I've known what a Geordie sense of humour is you were just miserable so the point about turning milk stays.
