Reviews of The Harry Clasper - JD Wetherspoon

A friendly and welcoming pub with all the Weatherspoon trimmings.
The beer is decently priced and a good range is stocked. (No Fosters though).
Given it was mixed weather in my visit, I initially sat outside in a screened off seating area which was probably introduced during Covid and has remained to this day.
Toilets were clean.
Worthy of a stop-off off you are in Whickham.

Well there's posh wetherspoons and theres not so posh wetherspoons..This is an awesome wetherspoons..its massive and off the main rd in Whickham so you cant miss it. I had a few pints whilst waiting for a lift home..whilst there i was welcomed & served by a lady with a nice smile & manner about her..the food that was coming from the kitchen looked very nice & plentiful..Theres lots of beers-ales to choose from and it wasnt that packed. I managed to take a few pics but didnt want to attract attention to my self..i managed tofund the loo and Wow what a swanky loo, even got a fireplace 😲🍻👍..marks outta 10 i give it an 13/10 yes i will most certainly be going back..🍻😁

Nice friendly staff, nice surroundings, good car park, curry club on a Thursday is great value, 7 curries to choose from, £7.05 with a soft drink and £8.35 with an alcoholic drink*, absolute great value

Huge beer garden perfect for when the weather is hot. Lovely staff who served us with a smile and even had a little laugh with us since I ordered too many pitchers for myself 😅. Food was hot and lovely and we didn't wait ages for it to arrive

Superb, very nice and surprising posh looking pub. Clean, no smells from kitchen, staff very helpful. Food served quick and hot. Minus for car park space.

Friendly atmosphere and comfortable seating. Half price beer and cheap food. And you can talk! No loud music to kill the conversation

Cheap and cheery but food always good and decent sized portions. Great value for money.just wish Weatherspoon pubs were dog friendly🐶🐕

My favourite Wetherspoons and our local, really nice building and the staff are really nice and friendly except for 1 manager who is a bit of a jobsworth picking on the kids

Quiet, unlike other pubs in Whickham where you have to shout to hear the person next to you. Good prices and comfortable space.
