This was a lovely and well run Weatherspoons. There was lots of space with a good variety of different seating. The staff were so friendly and really made our visit. The food and drinks came really quickly with the food being well cooked. There are 2 carparks close by so easy to park.

Massive selection of every kind of drink you could want at the very reasonable Spoons prices you expect. Today we had breakfast. No problems finding a table for 3, ordered on the app and drinks arrived quickly with food soon after. Everything as you would expect. Friendly helpful staff.

A favourite pub when staying in Newcastle, it's a short trip out but well worth it, if you want to eat outside the bustling city centre. It's very comfortable and the food is both great value and good. Friendly and welcoming atmosphere, best spoons in the city.

This is a nice spoons, it has relaxed feel about it. It has really nice little areas inside which give you an outside feel. It has booths as well as high and low tables. It is very handy being just off the main road, next to the shopping centre and the park so is a great spot to take a break from the shops. The metro is a short walk through the park. The toilets are on the ground floor which is always a bonus.

First visit since lock down. .Customers were using the hand gel but disapointingly the tables were not being cleaned in any way between customers.Tables well distanced, difficult to tell about customers. In daylight .......I do wish they vould afford a new carpet to go with all the shiney new screens.It looked really shabby. Once i had the App under control my fish and chips wete good as usual As an elderly lady I always feel at home here Very grateful for the new small portions rg fish and chips. Saves wasting or eating too much It is by the way described as being inside Gosforth Shopping Centre........ No it is outside. June2022 The I found a daytime visit depressing and the small fish and chips too small.So afraid I haven't been for some time,after being a regular .Trying other Gosforth pubs even though more expensive.

Stopped for food as we were local at the time. There are differences with the experience in Wetherspoons depending on the location, ordered cia app 2 drinks in bottles, no glasses, has to ask for some. For was dry like it has been made a while and reheated. If it's cheap beer you are after then its your place, £1.95 for a pint of beer on promotion can't be bad.

Respectable Wetherspoons bar. Attracts a full mix of punters throughout the day. Great prices, great beers and decent enough grub. It's perhaps due some kind of steady refurbishment, although it is by no means worn out and scruffy. It's the ideal place to fire in a few cheapo pints before hitting town to be liberated of cash in far more overpriced joints.

Met friends for drink and meal. Very busy, popular early evening with families then later with couples and groups. Food good quality and price, quite a long wait for meals but 8pm Saturday night thats to be expected. Jugs of cocktails in bright colours were intriguing. Limited desserts. Will go again.

Sometimes hard to get served as the bar is too long for the number of staff on a weekday. Not as bad as it once was. Standard Wetherspoons beer and good so you should know what to expect. Staff are almost without exception friendly and helpful. The app works pretty well too.

I was really busy on Christmas Eve afternoon. We ordered 4 meals on the app and thought because it was so busy it would take ages. In 20 minutes we had our food and it was delicious. Highly recommended.

A great wetherspoons, full until the end and good atmosphere. The table arrangement is not so good as it limits space but it does have an outdoor area and service is fantastic with friendly staff which makes a change for a wetherspoons. We do our work nights our here and will be returning again.

We visited on Tuesday. It wasn't too busy, but it took us a while to get served. There were 5 of us. 3 of us ordered meals, and about 5 minutes later, we ordered another 2 meals. The 2 orders came about 35 minutes apart. Having said that, the food was nice.

Occupying the ground floor of a former telephone exchange, most the interior is a little on the dark side though there's a small sheltered (but not covered) courtyard with an adjoining light, quite pleasant interior seating area on one side. The food and drink are as one might expect in a Weatherspoon's establishment, with some good deals to be had on the former at certain times. Outside of peak times the service is fairly prompt but can be a little on the slow side when busy. The culinary standard generally compares favourably with non-bistro pubs, though it's most definitely not the place to find a decent cup of coffee. It's also worth bearing in mind that as you need to provide a table number when placing an order at the bar and the layout makes it difficult to keep an eye on the spot you've chosen whilst doing so, it helps to have someone else present who can ensure nobody else takes up residence by the time you're ready to sit down. As an overall verdict one would probably say OK but not worth going out of the way for.

What can be said about a Wetherspoons that has not been said before. Standard decor & busy as you would expect on 6 nations rugby on a Saturday late afternoon. Tried their own version of Jager. Called 'Striker'..... its not bad. Does the job for a fraction of the cost. Great location, nice enough. Would visit this bar over and over. Well done.

I'm a big fan of Wetherspoons Pubs anyway. I think the menus are good and very fairly priced. I love their pies, chips and gravy . They have a great range of local ales and I really admire the way they tailor their pubs to their location unlike the Mc Donald's type pub chains.
