I visit the Junction often when the football is on, the food is great - especially the burgers. The staff are lovely and friendly, definitely one of the nicest pubs in Newcastle! Had an incident where I was unable to get a hot chocolate but the staff member offered me a coffee and he also said I could have a free refill which was very much appreciated as you don’t get service like that else where :)

Pretty standard pub. Bar staff are friendly, food menu is typical pub grub but is good value and they do deals with the meals and drinks. They show the sport there, kitted out suitably for the six nations. The interior decor is nice, they have an upstairs with a pool table.

The wine isn't very good but they offer a wide variety of other drinks. It's great to watch the city go by from many tables at windows. Unfortunately we didn't try the food because of the wine. I do still like this place because of the ambience. Do not like the toilets.

don’t normally have any issues at this pub until i came in with a friend recently on a really quiet evening.. there were only a couple of other tables in at the time and we were sat on a small table at the back corner of the pub enjoying a quiet drink and private conversation. Then one of the staff members (who wasn’t in any sort of a uniform, just wearing a black hoodie with no name badge or lanyard or anything to identify him as staff?) came to our table and stood right beside us and started rearranging the menus on our table without saying anything until I gave him a sort of confused look, to which he said something to the effect of “just doing the menus.” very bluntly. He was there doing it for a solid few minutes while we sat there quite uncomfortably, feeling as though we couldn’t continue our conversation.. he was quite literally stood over us? It’s not a huge issue I just found it really quite bizarre and awkward? Surely on such a quiet night, at only around 9pm, you could politely wait for customers to leave the table instead of interrupting them to do close down jobs over the top of them whilst they’re still sat there? Or at the very least, politely say - “excuse me, do you mind if I…”. Otherwise it just comes across as unwelcoming, impolite and unfriendly…

We visited the junction for the first time yesterday. If you want a friendly welcome, reasonably priced food and drinks, then this is the place to come. All the staff were really nice. The tall guy that served our food was lovely and made sure everything was to our satisfaction. I would highly recommend the junction and will definitely be returning. Well done guys for being a lovely place to go!

I visited The Junction last Thursday with family and was later joined by friends. I was very impressed by the Track-and-Trace system that was endorsed there. The food was lovely, excellent value for money. Staff were friendly, efficient and professional. I noticed that staff made a point of regularly cleaning tables and adhering to health-and-safety rules. I really enjoyed my time here and will definitely be returning there soon. Well done to all involved.

Food was unreal I had the pizza platter with deep fried Ravioli was amazing first time trying it deffinatly won't be the last, there were so many flies in the bar it's a serious issue when people are eating food, staff were very nice however as we moved from upstairs to downstairs to leave we noticed 2 chefs smoking in full uniform, was not a good sight, overall it is a really good place to grab a drink and some good food but a few issues deffinatly need addressed.

Booked this for a pub quiz - Get given the top floor and your own bar for a refundable £60 deposit. Included it's own mic and sound system. Was perfect for the event. Used downstairs pub after the quiz and it was much nicer than I thought it would be. Had expected it to be very Geordie and not for students but was actually pretty nice - even gives student discount on some drink deals.

Of its type it is a good pub we visited twice in two days the first despite the noise of a private party was good and deserved four stars but today was a bit iffy front of house great but the special requests were mostly ignored by the kitchen. If you are out of stock say that you can't serve what was ordered give the customer the chance of selecting an alternative.

Junction is a classic pub in Newcastle. Service and food is excellent! Took fish and chips. It was the biggest portion I've ever see. Bar tender ask about me 3-4 times. Very positive man. So thank The Junction for hospitality!!!

£3.50 for a pint of Carling is reasonable. Other nicer more expensive beers are also available. All the sport and food u can eat. Always a friendly crowd. Very busy on Newcastle United Match days, which is a good thing. It's close-ish to the ground. Not ate here but food always looks nice. Also has Sky Box Office events on.

We just popped in when passing. The food menu looked lovely and the summer salad was lovely however upon ordering a kids meal they were out of a number of things. I found this a bit disappointing especially as it was midday and on a weekday.

The Junction is a city center pub right next to the Haymarket bus station and metro. Its location makes it ideal for nipping into for a quick pint if you've missed your bus and have time to kill, or as a meeting place to start your on night out. Its beer and food prices, size, and abundance of TV's means its very popular on Match days, so take this into account if you decide to make a stop. It sells the usual Beers and Larger as well as a few cask ales. The food is typical pub grub as well as relatively cheap. Its usually well manned, but you should be prepared for a wait on a Friday and Saturday as well as match days when it gets busy.

What happened too the burnt ends burger it was in my top five in newcastle easy but the last time I had this beauty of a burger the beef put in the burger was this weird tiny cubbed meat nothing in comparison to the way it was done either way still 5 stars from me rest of the food is amazing service is amazing the drinks are amazing and the prices aren't bad at all so I definatly recommend it!!
