Had a cracking Sunday lunch here today. This place used to be my local many years ago, it's nice what they have done with the place, had a chilled vibe. Food was great, staff friendly and a decent assortment of beers.

The outdoor seating here is lovely with a marquee up for protection. Staff are helpful and attentive. We used to love the food here but today the Food could have been a bit better for the price. Chips portions were good but the fish and burger were a bit disappointing for £9-10 a meal. Pie was nice but the vegetables were overcooked. Nice way to spend a day in the sun as the seating is south facing and the food will fill you up. Wouldn't go back just for the food though

Brought Father-in-law here for Father day treat. Very welcoming and friendly staff. The decor was nice and bright and clean. The food was excellent, nice and tasty, plenty of flavour. Will definitely be back.

What can I say? What a lovely friendly pub! Firstly, when you enter you are warmly greeted with a friendly smile and asked if you needed anything the service was friendly yet very professional. I'll start with the positives! Lovely service the staff were very friendly. Drinks were fantastic - especially the Guinness! The area was lovely and clean. The toilets were lovely, even if the women's were all the way upstairs! The tables were quite squished together so there wasn't any room for social distancing or even getting past your table to get to the bar. Shame the food was lacking. We ordered two hunters chicken that came with barely any BBQ sauce that they were dry! The chicken platter was more batter than chicken. The sugar cane bone in the jackfruit was confusing and it was so vingerary in taste I couldn't eat it. And the menu is incorrectly labelled - FYI halloumi isn't vegan its made with goats milk! (to note VE usually stands for vegan where as V is normally vegetarian the menu was honestly baffling with how the foods were labelled) I'm vegetarian and not vegan so I didn't truly mind but a vegan would be very unhappy to see this. Overall the experience was lovely! I hope the kitchen is able to amend a few things and the menu is reprinted correctly. This place has a lot of potential!

A lovely clean pub. Lots of interesting features and an old school boozer lay out. Good selection of local Pale ales and best bitters on the bar, plus well kept Bass on cask. The food came quickly and for the price was good value, great chips. Friendly service on the bar, I'd happily have this pub as my local.

Very well laid out in the present times. There's staff at the entrance to guide you to your seat. There's 2 undercover seating area outside aswell as additional outdoor seating. Sign in is required either via the NHS app or in the log book

A very VERY enjoyable Sunday lunch. Very speedily served as well, although this may have been because of the time, and the fact that it was only just opened. Nonetheless, a very pleasant meal, pleasantly served, and very filling. With vegetarian options as well, if that is your desire. We will certainly return. I used to have a drink in here regularly, with friends on a Sunday, way back in the mists of time, but new management/ owners have done a grand job on it. EXCELLENT !!!

Lovely pub, very good food and variety of well kept beers. Good quiz night and open Mike night. This pub has excelled with the new management. Plus it is now dog tolerant. Unlike it's neighbour witch is "dog friendly" and can get overrun with dogs, on seats, lying all over the floor. Victory to the victory

Food absolutely divine. Been last 2 weekends and had the Sunday dinners as well as others off the Sunday menu. Price is very reasonable and the real ales/ciders are great with good choice. Bar staff are friendly and helpful.

A nice venue for a Film Club event but I wouldn't recommend it especially. I had Jerk Chicken which was very tasty but needed some sort of sauce on the side as only BP rice and undressed salad, but I enjoyed it in the end as I asked and got 1000 Island dressing...lemony flavour complicated and put out the fire!!

Called in for a drink with my wife as we were passing. First visit to a pub since the Covid19 Covid19 lockdown had started and ended. Great to sit outside, staff were around quickly face masks on to take drinks order. Price steep for non alcoholic beer and a lime and soda, £5.20 but hey, the owner has a rag top Mercedes to run.

Booked table 7 for 4 people on Sat 14th March for 6pm. When we arrived the table had not been reserved for us. We were offered a table further in the middle of the room but already people sitting there and as the place was full with men watching the Rugby we did not want to eat with everyone hanging around. We did get a table suitable eventually but it was cluttered with empty glasses and old newspapers, which we had to clear ourselves tables 11/12. Others eating had to do the same thing. We then had to clear our own table after eating. The place was a mess with empty glasses and the tables could have done with being cleaned over. Also when one is eating do not want the TV blarring out. More staff needed to look after the bar/lounge [only 2] who just could not cope. Pity because the food is nice. Only when Ben came on at 7pm was the place tidied up. Shame because we like the pub.

Very pleasant pub, I particularly like the beer garden. Food isn't bad at all and reasonably priced. They could learn how to cook a rare steak though, both of ours turned up well done.
