Good food. Plenty of it nice change to have good sized portions, what we loved about it was you didn't have to choose as I had chill and I got both rice and chips. The meal is of a good price and the staff are very friendly and helpful thank you

Very reasonable priced menu, went as part of a large party so able to reserve the conservatory area for a private meal. Staff very attentive and friendly despite a number of children being present. An
Ample parking on site with large rear beergarden.

Been twice now for lunch on both occasions we couldn’t fault the food. First time I had fish & chips which were very good & today my husband & I had the steak pie special from the blackboard , it was excellent! Very cosy pub with good friendly service. Reasonably priced .highly recommend.

I had lunch there , it is the first time l have visited The Poachers Cottage , their menu is varied , from light bites , substantial sandwiches and larger plates , like mince and dumplings , steak pie and so on. From what l could see potions where more than adequate. Staff very friendly , helpful and polite. Worth another visit.

My daughter recommended that we go for a meal there, the last time I went was over 10 years ago
I was glad I went,16oz rump steak, was the best I've ever had
And only £16, it was perfect
Well done to the chef
Very friendly place

Nice little pub (its quite big really) tucked away up a country road, obviously been a favourite of the locals and people who are prepared to drive for something to eat because it has survived so long. I would say it's worth a try and you'll come away with two eyes 👀 intact.
