Without a shadow of a doubt, the best pub Sunday lunch I have ever had. Cooked to perfection and the portion sizes are amazing. Excellent atmosphere with fantastic and friendly staff. The real ale is also fabulous. Will definitely return and highly recommend. 10/10.

Had Sunday lunch. Unfortunately both the quality and quantity has reduced. I had Sunday lunch around 10 months ago and that was a far more pleasurable experience. Waiting time at the bar meant no time to fully read menu before ordering. I suppose bottom line is lack of staff? Not somewhere I would return in a hurry. What a difference 10 months can make.

The Tanners Arms ia a friendly local pub between students and local residents, serving great food at reasonable prices, the Sunday lunch is a good alternative to your mums at an alright price. Would recommend a bottle of Budvar..... Nice to see the seats have been renewed and few new IPAs and same old great service.

The food came out a little late but it was well worth the wait! We weren't expecting a portion size of this scale, but we gladly took home another meal's worth of leftovers. Was really nice apart from didn’t get a choice to just have plain chicken didn’t like the mint sauce on it and the plates were way too small every time a went to chop me chicken food was nearly falling off plate and wasent much gravy either! Maybes invest in bigger plates 🙏🏼 And didn’t enjoy sitting next to bar with staff just standing around me while was eating my dinner!

Been going here on and off for years. Was really impressed the last time I was there with my mate (22nd November). Had some belting burgers and fries and the Tanners Lager was very good. Also canny staff who asked if we were having any more to drink as had poured two pints of the Tanners by mistake and offered us them for the price of one!

What an excellent Sunday lunch at very reasonable prices. The service is so friendly and you might have to wait a touch but deffo worth it, the food quality and freshness of the vegetables is spot on . Highly recommend this pub.

I have to say I really enjoyed the helpful staff. The barkeep was friendly and didn't seem taken back by me but wanting beans or a runny yolk with my full English. They were quick to rectify a mistake on our order. The meal was great, I really loved the grilled tomato and bubble & squeak. Mind you it's my first time ever having a full English and this was a great experience The cook was also friendly and funny. Id definitely recommend coming here.

Words can't describe how amazing the vegan options are here! Me and my boyfriend have been making our way through the menu and each and every meal has been so delicious that we were torn between eating it because it was so tasty and not wanting it to end 😅. The breakfast sandwiches are our new go-to and have ordered them twice already this week because we couldn't get enough! Could not recommend it more and we can't wait to visit in person, would give it more than 5 stars if I could. The portions are perfect and generous for the price and you definitely will not regret ordering from here :))

The food was really nice and the staff were friendly however, they were not really equipped to serve people with disabilities and the food service was fairly inaccessible. If you have unconventional needs and you either need more time to eat or adaptations, I'd suggest dining elsewhere.

Top drinkers joint. Not usually a place I hit at all, but I went yesterday for the Sunday afternoon vibration. Friendly grafters sort you out with the relevent check in nonsense and get you seated asap. The beers are top and the grub brought out to other tables looked outstanding. Their app for ordering is slick too which is a mega plus point. Once things return to more indoor normality the bar will be packed once again for sure.

My elderly dad was up and there was nowhere quiet in the town center so brought him across to Tanners with my son in tow as well. We had a couple of pints and a bite to eat. Visited the Tanners for food. The service is excellent. Staff talked us through our menu choices. We had a Radgie Chicken Burger minus the siriacha but they did put a pot of this on the side to be tried and a Radgie Cheese Burger with a shared side of fries and a couple of soft drinks. (Radgie refers to the spiciness) Great menu with a selection to suit all. The food was phenomenonal. Great bar environment. Close to the Ouseburn. They are taking part in Eat Out to Help Out so really reasonable. I would still visit at other times.

Nice place for drinks but the food and service leave a little to be desired. Didn't get coleslaw with my burger and when I asked about it they offered me mayo as a substitute. Don't put it on the menu if you're not going to give it. Also 2 of us (out of 4) had to change our orders because they'd ran out of chicken which is pretty annoying. Can't fault the drinks and atmosphere though.

I went vegan recently but love indulgent food and meaty flavours. Friday night takeaway from Scranner's has become a regular routine. Particularly enjoy the vegan burgers and the various loaded fries. Also great selection of local beers to be enjoyed - loved the Mangolicious from Laine. Keep it up Tanner's. Top scran.
