This is a great pub. More beers, both cask and keg, than you can shake a good sized stick at. The guy behind the bar was very welcoming. He was also very helpful in suggesting other places we could visit while in Newcastle. The place itself is very cosy with plenty of interesting features. There were a few regulars in who were up for a chat and also helped us put our pub list together. We ended up going back on our last night in the city for a last few pints and a momento.

Great range of beers, including some locally brewed lager that went down very well. The damson porter was also excellent. Knowledgeable staff really know their stuff and can recommend something unusual but superb for your palette.

Visited last Friday for the first time. Boyfriend is a big fan of the place. Friendly chatty and knowledgeable staff. Had a laugh, talked about the donated ducks (will be donating one myself) bar staff were a wonderful guide, enjoyed the ale Anzac I believe it was. Friendly atmosphere and people. A gent gave me his bar stool so kind. Highly recommended

If you like good beer this has quietly become one of the best pubs in Newcastle! And with seating outside on Old Eldon Square, and a shady little terrace out the back, it's set to be a favourite for the summer. But keep it to yourselves, right, we don't want it getting too crowded 😂

Finally got to call into the Wobbly Duck after having it on the list of places to try for a few months. Great bar, great staff and a nice selection of beers from some good breweries. Looking forward to visiting again.

For the most fastidious beer drinkers, this is the place to go. The staff were friendly and helpful to individuals who were weary of drinking their fine selection of alcoholic beverages. The beer menu features a diverse selection of golden cask ales, stouts, and more specialised craft beers such as sours, not to mention various spirits. Because the venue is small, it can get crowded, but I think that adds to the atmosphere. The sing along was the highlight of my visit; it really brightened my evening. When I'm in the area again, I'll make sure to stop by. I strongly recommend visiting if you're in the area.
