Only started going in recently. I have to say the service you receive is spot on, the staff are friendly and knowledgeable about the Beers/Ales they serve. The selection of drinks available is plentiful, you will always be able to find something you like. I love it and will certainly be back very soon.

Decent bar, decent music... It's a place that's always been there but never somewhere that really attracts me to return. Beer was good alright, prices were a little steep. There's plenty of places I'd rather drink than here... Not least the bodega a few doors up the road

The pub is quite basic but what it has is a great selection of top class beer . It's a lot quieter in the afternoon where you can easily get a seat ( except on match days) Highly recommended.

I like this bar, it's middle ranged price wise, has a large range of spirits beers and ales and is charasmatic (shabby in a good way) even the tunes are pretty good, nice experience but not the type of place you will be blown away, good for a quiet drink

A very open and welcoming venue. Has a great selection of beers and alcohol from local and international brewers without being overpriced. It is in a quiet area of Newcastle away from the bigg market and congested areas, which makes for a nice, relaxing atmosphere without the feeling of being overcrowded.

Fantastic selection of drinks, from craft ales to beers, ciders to bitters they have it all. Nice selection of wines and spirits too. Always greeted and served with a smile. Staff are knowledgeable about their products. Yet this bar has a very relaxed feel and there is no other bar like it in town.

Always good for a decent beer. Great range on the pumps and if that's not good enough for you try a selection from the many fridges behind the bar.. ideally located for the O2 they also do a decent line in food, so you won't go hungry. Occasionally they have film nights as well, what more can you want.

Great casual atmosphere, looking a little tired these days but the awesome choice of beers makes up for that in spades. Whatever your taste you will find something, british cask and craft beers and a huge choice of continental bottled beers. Very handy stop off for the academy, China Town or before the match. Friendly staff and vaping allowed, love this place.

Tilleys bar is the best bar in Newcastle and is a must for anyone that likes real and craft beer. With well over 100 bottle and lot of draught that are changed regularly I'm sure even a seasoned beer taster will find something new and the staff have the knowledge to help you if that is your quest! Gets busy Friday/Saturday night when they have a DJ playing. being close to the stadium it does get a lot of football traffic. Always has a great atmosphere, personally I'll attempt to visit when it's quieter. For people passing by it is close to the station and can make a nice lunch time venue as well as an evening one.

Tilleys is by far my favourite bar, ever... Period. Very welcoming staff with the widest range of drinks I have ever seen, literally hundreds to choose from! LP Records played by the resident DJ provide a jazzy atmosphere to the already awesome bar! Definitely recommend going here if you want to try a new drink and have a good night!

What's there to say about Tilleys that hasn't been said. Been around for yonks. Great place for great beers at a good price. Often frequented by some Interesting characters and always a decent shout for a place to start a night out.

Top notch selection of world beers, always a good cask selection and good craft kegs. Staff are always very friendly and knowledgeable, only down point (that doesn't justify losing a full star) is the DJ loves to play his music too loud on a Friday evening, making conversation almost impossible, maybe it's just an old man thing? GET OFF MY LAWN!

Great bar. Always has a lot of events going on. The selection of drinks is massive which is a great reason for popping in as often as possible. Quality food and great staff. Always first port of call when attending gigs at the o2 and Tyne Journal.

It has a lot of ale and beer, the cider section is lacking. The music wasn't to my taste not many places to sit way from the live d j , in fact not many places to sit. If you like playing darts the dart board is over a table reducing in theory the amount of places people can sit and is not at the right height. All if that aside, the staff are nice and knowlegable also it has a dart board.... and a huuuuuge selection of beers

Snug brilliant little rock'n'roll flavoured bar which is secretly a head of steam, but you wouldn't know it. It's cozy and super for popping in for a quick drink, it has a few alcoves to sit in and a weird little snug like extension. A great place for watching the match.

Ummm... i used to love this place years ago. Been a while since my last visit. the gun metal grey paint is quite depressing. Lacked feeling. Great barman and choice of drinks though.

Tilly's is a fab bar based in Sunderland City centre. Great comfortable lay out and warm freindly staff combined with reasonable priced drinks make this an ideal stop off when visiting the city centre. Very close proximity to the historic Sunderland Empire Theatre
