P. L.Tis what it is you need to time it right at breckie to get the best out of this place or you are left with pretty basice dry portions. On the other hand if it's all fresh it's good.
Note to manager: Yorkshire's should be at the start of the buffet not the end.
Better to fill them with stuff then ☺️
H. M.Really nice food, all hot and fresh. I am a vegan myself and was a bit nervous when coming to the carvery with my family but the staff were super. One staff member in particular (a lady i believe to be called Jen) was very accommodating, checking ingredients and giving me my own separate gravy pot and cranberry sauce and replacing the tongs for fresh ones to avoid cross contamination the best possible. Recommend as a nice wholesome family meal to visit if you have a vegan/vegetarian in the family!
P. G.I went for a Sunday Roast. I was told there was no Beef left which I accepted as it was late in the day but was disappointed when after I had chosen my meal the next person was offered Beef and a fresh joint of beef was brought out.
Other than that everything else was fine.
The staff were pleasant and attentive. The food I had was tasty.
B.I felt for the staff here today - it was unexpectedly extremely busy which left them failing to deliver on expectations. I fully appreciate that the business can't employ extra staff to stand around 'just incase it gets busy'. There were a few customers pushing for the food to be cooked quicker than it possibly could be which must have caused panic in the kitchen as the hash browns arrived looking slightly undercooked which led to customers requesting refunds and leaving. I felt that if everyone had of just waited patiently and understood the position the staff were in, everyone would have gotten what they wanted even if it did take a little longer than usual.
G. P.I was really impressed by the friendliness of the young lady who served us today. She was smiling and very attentive making it a very enjoyable experience. Not sure what she was called but had dark hair and tattoos. I’m sure she’s a good asset for your company.
A. B.Excellent service and amazing food. Went on Thursday as I had an offer on my meerkat meals app for 25% off. But when it came to pay the app the said offer not available on Thursday but in the apps terms it stated offer available Monday to Thursday. Because of the fault of the app and Toby carvery the manager gave me there discount which actually worked out at about 30% off instead. Can't fault the place
M. C.The food was okay, although the beef was very fatty which was frustrating to have to remove from the plate. Only 2 meats (beef & gammon) to choose from at 7pm on a Monday as they weren't cooking any more. There were a few tables which came in after us and opted for the vegetarian option as there was no meat available then. The veg was very tasty. Seating felt very cramped, we were put on a table directly next to another table in use. When we asked the waitress we got the "no other tables are set" excuse, yet they filled up the area they had set up, I feel they could have expanded and alternated table settings to be more comfortable for the customers. It's not like the waiting staff need to be available for serving/drinks when it's all self-serve, so I fail to see this logic. Clearly bad timing on a Monday evening for this service, but it was a disappointing experience.
H. S.The meal was OK, nothing special. The service however was fantastic. Our waiter Archie was brilliant and looked after us brilliantly. He went out of his way to make sure we all had what we wanted.
