What a lovely venue! We were looking for a venue to have a few drinks on a Friday that can host a big group of people and we were recommended to try the Waiting rooms. We had such a great time that we decided to stay all night and not go anywhere else! Big thanks to Eva and her team for being such amazing hosts, informing us of all the best deals the venue does and recommended the most amazing shot combinations! Came into the waiting rooms over the weekend before the football game. Ash served us, and even though it was busy, we felt really welcomed and she was really helpful when recommending a pie, and cocktails for me and my partner. The Free Ranger is amazing and we’d come back again for it. We also had 2 of the purple rain drinks, and they were so good! There was a deal on the cocktails as well, so it was even better! We came back after the match and the atmosphere was great! They had a young DJ in, who was mint, really held the vibe! We’ll definitely be back soon!

Came in on Saturday and was greeted by a woman with tattoos and piercings, unfortunately I can’t remember her name, she was absolutely amazing! I just wanted to say a big thank you to her for helping me and my friends find a table, making sure it was clean and we had enough seat, she even make our cocktails which she recommended (purple rain, key west cooler and Singapore sling) which were absolutely to die for! She brought us over the shot girl who was absolutely lovely and got us in the Saturday night spirit! I honestly feel like I made a friend with this lady she kept checking in on us and making sure we had everything we could possibly need and kept us laughing! What an atmosphere this bar has, the DJ was absolutely outstanding and really set the tone for us for the rest of the night! I can’t wait to come back to Newcastle to get the 5* service this lady gave us she’s an absolute asset to this bar and a hostess with the mostest!

The waiting rooms is one of my favourite places to go for drinks, definitely the purple rains, the staff are really friendly and will have a conversation with you. The new bouncers are very professional and welcoming, they are doing an amazing job making the bar feel safe when it's busy. Can't find a better place

The staff members are all so pleasant, Lucas in particular, great customer service and always happy to help. In light of recent events with Covid-19, everything has been handled so well with regards to their customers and staff. Highly recommend!

On the few times I’ve been to the waiting rooms I’ve throughly enjoyed myself. Great atmosphere to relax too or even before the start of a night out. As well as the staff are incredibly nice and welcoming, Lucas especially is always there to help making the experience even better. With covid regulations going on, the bar and staff have handled it in the most accommodating and professional manner. I wouldn’t suggest anywhere else!!

It was alright in there (last Saturday night) and I might have given it 4 stars, but they blast the music so loud your ears literally hurt, let alone trying to chat to the people you're there with. That really ruined the place for me. I know lots of other bars/pubs/clubs in the city centre do the same thing, for whatever reason, but it's vibe-destroying and bad for your hearing. I wouldn't ask them to play it quietly, just not anywhere near the ear-splitting level they were using.

Visited Newcastle yesterday 22/4/19. My partner his son and myself were looking for comfort food and came across the Waiting Rooms. The offer was pie, mash and a pint for a tenner. The food was excellent and as I don't like beer they gave me a white wine instead. Staff were very friendly and extremely attentive. Highly recommended

The pub looked very trendy from the outside. Was clean and tidy on the outside and in. We went on a Saturday which matchday so the place was rammed. The atmosphere was great. All the girls were glammed up looking great and the drinks were flowing. The bar staff were very busy but it didn't stop them being very friendly when taking your orders. They came round regularly to collect empties so the place was looking clean all the time which was impressive. The food tasted nice and the waiting time was surprisingly not as long as I first thought given how busy it was in there. Although I found it quite pricey I would recommend anyone to go there.

I have been in this venue near on every weekend for around 2months now. I admit it is usually on a Saturday as I like to have abit of a dance with the wife to what ever dj is playing (he does take requests as long as they aren’t silly and I have always found him great chatting with) the staff are very friendly especially Andrew and al. I also think the doorstaff deserve a mention as they are both happy and greet everyone in a nice welcoming manner when entering the venue..they are also up for a chat and the younger one does like showing his dance moves every so often which is great fun and seems to help the relaxed atmosphere.
