Lovely family lunch, staff we're helpful and friendly, however on arrival the tables were not cleaned properly but staff rectified this quickly. My meals were very tasty but a little disappointed with the garlic bread. The atmosphere was lively with the football playing on the TV, kids enjoyed this and ate well. Thank you team 😊

Excellent food, and service. Food was well cooked, ordered a well done steak, and it came cooked to perfection. We had four main meals and drinks to celebrate my daughters birthday, and the bill came to just over £40, so excellent value too. Definitely highly recommended.

Nice spacious bar with pleasant staff food was good and didn't take too long reasonable prices although foot of chicken was supposed to have skewers but just had 2x sm.chick breast pieces and said served with garlic bread but had onion rings instead? Pool tables & darts and had plenty screens to watch sport ,overall a good experience

One of the only places to watch any sport on the island. Yes it can be raucous with sports fans but it's very friendly and full of banter. Does some good pub grub for a reasonable price and the staff are always friendly. The cleaning could be a little more frequent as on 3 occasions of coming in whe on holiday the bar and mats are usually swimming in stale spilt beverages. All in all a great little find and will be back on my next trip.

Superb food during the day. Sports shown on the many screens in the venue and evening entertainment including quiz’s during the week and DJs at the weekend. Great drinks prices too! Really enjoy my visits to the Hogs Head and can throughly recommend it.

Great selection of different foods - European, American, Asian. Prices are also pretty decent. Good for large parties with different gastronomic preferences. They have a game room area, bar and TV sport channels. Great service too!

Reasonably priced drinks. Takes a long time to get served on busy nights but if the bar staff are on form they are as quick as possible. Toilets need some work and possibly more due to the number of people on busy nights.

We visited again today and were very well taken care of by a charming, knowledgeable and professional waiter (sadly don't remember the name but he had a cap and longer blond hair) - a true asset to the team. Great food and service the first time I went. They could do with more bar staff when it is busy. None the less a lovely place.

I've only been in there once. It is a place for everyone, staff is nice, there are tables to enjoy your drinks or a dance floor if you choose to dance. There is a smoking area at the back but it's really crowded. It gets really crowded but I guess that's normal. I will give 3 stars not because it's bad but we leave 4 and 5 stars for the fancy posh places. Don't hesitate to go and enjoy a night out there

My wife and I decided to find somewhere to eat for lunch and found the Hogshead in Newport (I.O.W.) The service was quick and the lady was very polite. We ordered probably what became the best burger I have ever had and will definitely be going back. Can't recommend enough.

Fanstasic food, fantastic service. Only thing I would say is that being the only descent pub showing the England games, I'd have thought you'd be able to hear the commentary. Yes they had the commentary on in the lower bar, but with music and a quiz going on in the main bar you couldn't hear the football.

Kirsty made us feel so welcome. Really nice pub especially since it had it’s makeover. Food is good pub grub and a great price. And the loos are clean too. We booked a table for the rugby. Kyle even asked us if we wanted first dibs for next week. A really nice friendly pub.

Great little bar has great prices on draught and deals on bottles £6.50 for 2 bottles of cider. They show almost every sport possible from horse racing to football to boxing. And weekends are fantastic they do an 80's night the first Saturday of every month and numerous other themed nights throughout the month. All the staff are friendly and welcoming and I will definitely be going back.

Great food, lovely bar lady. Sticky tables. 1 lady asked us if we could move to another area as they had a big reservation which we did. Then before we had finished our food we were told by a guy they needed our table in 10 mins but no rush. Apart from this all was ok.

It functions as a sports bar, a place to eat cheap (but tasty) food and a fun night out. Loses a star for being a bit ugly looking, as it is popular on a night out, and is very busy, It can be rather sticky. Could do with a makeover.

Hogshead has recently had a revamp and is looking much sleeker. They have made good use of their space which was a pleasant surprise. There are now booths with TVs in them and a games area where you can rent out games consoles. The food hasn't changed much but is pretty average- cheap but cheerful.

Just about the only place I've found for watching the football. They show multiple matches on different screens. It's a bit pokey and sometimes the only screen for the match you want to watch is in the corner where you can only get half a dozen people. But it's good for major matches and it's a decent price for food and drink. It does get packed to the rafters to with people though.
