Wow! This is such a great restaurant, mainly because of the good food and it’s high quality. But also the decoration and atmosphere makes it very comfortable and perfekt for dinners with friends or an romantic date. It’s also nice to have just drinks on the bar. The interior and the light makes it a place where you want to stay. The staff is very polite and friendly! The food comes in the perfect timing also if you order a Menue. I definitely want to recommend this special place to others. I went here already several times because I like it so much.

Very nice pub/restaurant. I would seriously recommend trying the food although please be aware you ideally need to book in advance as the wait times to get a table can be in excess of an hour. I would highly recommend the signature burger it is asolutely delicious.

Food was nice and good, Gammon was lovely, though service was slow but the staff were very friendly. Needed a booking to be able to eat there so make sure you reserve before you go.

The Bad: We ordered a Turkey dinner as we were made aware the beef was sold out. We were torn between the turkey or pork, but decided turkey as it came with stuffing wrapped in bacon.
The turkey arrived with no stuffing. After requesting the stuffing our waiter explained they were out of stuffing.
The main issue for us was the roast potatoes, which had been deep fat fried! Im a 6ft 200ib male and I struggled to pierce the roast potato, in fact I bent my fork in doing so. My partner pierced her roast potato and it shoot across the table onto the floor. The parsnips were raw, and the broccoli bland. We ordered a jug of water on three occasions and did not receive it. The roast dinners do not live up to their £15 price tag.
The Good: Our waitress and waiter were nice. Our waiter made us aware that they already had a number of complaints regarding the roast potatoes. The waitress explained that they have a new kitchen team who are still adjusting. We never complain where we go for food, however The DragonFly is our local and we want it to thrive. As a good will gesture the manager gave all four of us free desserts! This wasn’t necessary, however, we were extremely grateful for it.

The ambience as soon as we arrived was warm, friendly and with the burning log fire in the dining room, just the ticket on a chilly autumn day.
The staff were kind and attentive and we had our drink and food orders taken in good time.
The food arrived after a short wait and everything we had was delicious. We placed our dessert orders and I had ordered a creme brûlée but was presented with a crumble, at the first sign of my confusion our server realised the mistake and took it back to the kitchen and brought out my order in no time at all. Dessert was also wonderful.
The general vibe, the warmth and comfort was lovely and just what I needed that day. The service, drinks and dishes were top notch and I will absolutely return. My only regret was that my husband didn’t bloody tip, but I’ll be in charge of that next time we come!
Thank you for an excellent dining experience.

Booked on a whim to enjoy a family dinner between Christmas and new year.
Arrived to accommodating and joyous staff who seated us promptly.
“Kelly” our server was charismatic, welcoming and professional.
We ate, drank and were merry.
Would definitely return and will refer to family and friends who want a good meal and great service. Thank you Kelly for wonderful service.

Stayed at the Holiday Inn Express next door for a week. After two meals in the hotel it was clear that the standard of food was not great so decided to try the Dragonfly next door. I was not disappointed, service was far superior (thank you Kelly) the food far superior leading to a great experience. Highly recommended for good food, good service and atmosphere.

Nice pub with a good selection of food and reasonably priced. Staff are friendly and helpful, it can get a bit busy so best to book if planning on eating.
I would have given a 5 if it wasn’t for warm white wine. Car parking is free you just have to enter your registration on the screen inside.
