A. M.Great little venue, where you're right in front of the band. Sound and lighting were excellent.
Bar has loads of beers, staff were really good as we rocked up early, so they let us into the bar early too!
Really great vibe about the place, wouldn't hesitate to return, even though its 2 hours from home. 👍
J. W.The best rock venue in South Wales. A biker get together establishment but put plenty of awesome gig nights on. Owners are absolutely fantastic, Ange is a diamond. Beer prices are very reasonable. Always a great night with the Patriot team and gig buddies Love it!

D. P.Myself and my partner were at the GUN show on Saturday night. First time at the venue. We'd heard good things from people, and our taxi driver beforehand, and The Patriot certainly didn't let us down. It seemed a bit surreal when we arrived. This little venue in what is essentially, a valley village, with a massive tour bus parked up outside. But my thoughts were, " I'm gonna love this"!!
Nice atmosphere inside, good mix of people, young and old. Felt comfortable the whole time we were there. Staff were friendly, easy to get served at the bar. The place looks great ( love the coffin above the stage).
We had a good chat to the promotions guy stood at the side of the stage. Didn't get his name, but he was a lovely guy.!!
Black lakes were the warm up act. Not our type of music. I'd probably prefer to hear their plugged in set, but the crowd were very appreciative of them, and they were a fun bunch of lads.
I'd last seen GUN 31 yrs ago, supporting Texas. I loved them then, and they were superb this time around. It's just no nonsense, straight up, melodic hard rock. You can't go wrong.
Dante, the lead singer, couldn't stop smiling the whole time. Never thought I'd hear a singer shout "let me hear you Crumlin".
The only downside to the night was that we couldn't get a later taxi back to our Hotel in Pontypool, so missed the last 30 minutes of the show.
Great venue to see a phenomenal band. We'll be back for sure. Thanks Patriot.!! 🤘
I. T.Five stars is not enough for this venue. Its absolutely amazing. Its like Sons of Anarchy, warmest friendliest local, amazing music and the cleanest pub in the world.
Spoke to Angela the landlady and what a lovely woman. I wish this was based in Bristol near me but don't worry I will be back. Hell if I could it would be my local. One of the best pubs/venue ever. I was gobsmacked how good it was.
Oh and the bands were good too. Haha

S.In the past this place has had a bad reputation, I've been down there a few times and never once seen any trouble, always had a good night.The lady who now runs the place, has said she want's to put it on the map and to get rid of the bad stigma attached to the place. She's doing a fine job. You don't have to be into Rock/Metal to go, because they have a bit of everything, (guitar based music, not hip-hop or dance). So if you like live music, give this place a go. You'll be surprised.

Voor een optreden van een band er naartoe gegaan. Het is mooi om te zien dat hier veel live muziek is. Maar de bar aan zich is er niet veel aan. Wel vriendelijk personeel, maar verder een behoorlijk outdated sfeer. Vergane glorie zeg maar.
