A lovely clean and tidy countryside pub. Friendly staff and easy parking make this a nice pub to visit with indoor and outdoor seating area's. A playground for the kids to entertain themselves and good food at reasonable prices makes it well worth a visit.

I went to eat a Sunday Roast and to eat outside with my dog. The service was friendly, and the pub atmosphere was warm and welcoming. The food was great, and as it was quiet my dog was able to relax too.

We visit here fairly often for Sunday lunch which is to die for! the food on the menu is always so full of flavour and difficult to choose between. Always served quick and plenty of food on the plate. the staff are always friendly and you are always made to feel welcome. A good selection of beers and spirits too. I Can't wait for our next visit!

Really friendly public house with outdoor seating and a play area for the kids. Very good real ales and a well stocked bar. Restaurant can be booked and is high quality hearty food. To me it's what a proper pub is supposed to be. Serves locals and visitors with the same friendly smile and when I called in half way around on a bike ride they were fine with my lycra. I will definitely return for a sit down meal and for a cheeky pint when passing through on the bike.

Probably the best pub meal we've had! The food was so full of flavour and the portions were very generous. Only ever stopped for drinks before when on bike rides, but decided to pop in for dinner today and are very glad we did! Thanks for a lovely evening meal after work, we'll be back!

I was expecting a better meal considering price. Gourmet burgers should be a much higher quality, not just big frozen ones. Lovely pub though, just need to up the standard of the grub.

Generous steak and ale pie. Bit worrying when the veggie options are listed as 'please ask for options available'... Excellent covid measures. Decent playground/garden for kids. Obliging staff, although our food took an hour to reach us. Owners have obviously have made an effort to make shelter outside during lockdown which was welcomed. Avoid Thursday evening around 7pm unless you want an aerobics track from Village Hall next door Garlic bread disappointing, good chips.

Visited tuesday for my birthday. Lovely pub in a village setting. Staff very friendly and welcoming. Both our meals were homemade and delicious with an attentive waitress throughout our stay. This is our second time of visiting, the first being my daughters birthday in October. This was on the strength of a recommendation and was an enjoyable evening with lovely meals. I will certainly not leave it so long before we visit again. Well done to the rose inn.

18 of us had a lovely family Xmas meal today with both the very young and old catered for with aplomb. Food was delicious from beginning to end and the service was excellent. One of our favourite country pubs anywhere.

Outstanding menu from a deceptively small but oh so well managed public house. The young lady who served us was called Chelsea and was most certainly Premiership quality. Lovely smile and greeting and attention to detail right the way through the meal. Food brilliant, service awesome and really good value for money. We will be returning

Really nice country pub, with hearty home cooked food. Not the biggest of pubs, but has a homely friendly feel to it. No need to book a table but it does get quite busy, so if you have a large party you may want to call in advance.

Good place to stop when out on bicycles. Worked really hard to make lots of outside seating available during the Covid 19 crisis. Another day out on the Bikes. Stopped for a meal at the Rose Inn in the evening. Fantastic food. Really good prices and service.

Recently visited for food, and found it a great little place. It's so rare to find a pub that hasn't been turned into a chain or a hipster looking hangout. This place reminds me of pubs we use to stop at for food when we were children, the staff are friendly and couldn't help enough, and the food was great. The menu is broad so there's something for everyone.

Just been to the rose with my wife and two friends for a meal which was lovely the staff were friendly and helpful. They have marked out a one way system to follow and there is plenty of hand sanitizer. Out side on the grass they have built stalls with three sides and roof they have table and benchs which are separated from each other by a chip board wall so you are in your own pod

Nice enough pub in very small village. Surprisingly busy when we visited; clearly they depend on loyal locals plus Newport visitors - it's hard to believe there would be any passing trade as this place is well hidden. Food and beer available as you would hope, separate dining area. Quite a smart little pub in a surprising location.
