Went for Sunday lunch with my friend, meal absolutely beautiful three course more than we could both eat at an extremely reasonable price. Lovely staff very accomodating we weren't in the mood for drinks but didn't change the great atmosphere in this lovely hidden gem of a pub. Warm and welcoming

Had a lovely lunch at the beginning of November on the way to pick up our puppy, the host kindly gave us a table in the main area so my son from South Africa could enjoy the atmosphere of a Welsh pup. Excellent value for an enjoyable meal.

Best Pub Food we have had for ages !! Found the pub by chance and just decided to call in lunchtime. Highly recommended had the nicest Steak & Ale Pie ever and chips just I like them. Mrs had Scampi which again was good and huge portion. Reasonably priced pub food and will definitely be returning probably a few times also friendly Landford so a good find by chance.

Sunday roast was good beef really tender,I would like to gave had a roasted parsnip and the meal could have been hotter. I would suggest the plates be hotter.

Came across this pub by chance and its a hidden little Gem, the staff where friendly and polite. The pub has managed the covid restrictions well and it feels safe without being over bearing, was relaxed and enjoyable. The food was excellent value for money and of good quality the portions where generous. Excellent little find will definatly be returning.

Nice pub, but very cold to sit outside later on, No tables to sit inside due to them all be reserved, there is a gas heater but no gas. We would have stayed longer but just got far too cold

Really nice pub and always a warm welcome. Mark the landlord is very good/friendly. Normally pop in every 8 weeks or so for beers with a mate of mine. Had food there a few times with the family and it has always been tasty. Not fine dining but it doesn't pretend to be either. Seats can be at a premium on the weekend so if you are eating best to book. Only gripe (minor one) is that in my opinion, the pub could do with an older member of staff (outside of Mark) with pub experience to bring a different dynamic to the staffing/service. Note for dog owners - Dogs are allowed in the garden but not in the pub during food serving times. *this is not a gripe as landlords choice so have to respect it.

Following my original review I am pleased to update with a 100% improvement. Although I could not comment previously on the food, this time around the food was really lovely. A variety of choice. I had the garlic mushrooms and lamb cutlets which were beautiful. We were sat by the fire which was cosy and welcoming. The staff were friendly and attentive. A very relaxed and enjoyable meal. Driven past on many occasions saying ‘that looks like a nice pub’, eventually after 10yrs I was invited to a meal by friends and was pleasantly supprised. The food is traditions pub food, with generous portions at really competitive prices. Ans the added bonus was great freshly cut chips which is a must for pub food!! I would highly recommend giving it a try

We went for a anniversary meal with the family and they catered for a big group, however the food choice was limited to a Sunday dinner and the meal sizes were small and meat minimal . Bathrooms were nice and friendly staff. The garden at the back was a bit worn and the kids park at the back had all broken slides which was dangerous to the children . Overall nice place for a light bite but could improve on what I said

Very cosy traditional little local pub. Great atmosphere and always welcoming with friendly staff and regulars. Nice and warm in the winter with the fire place lit. Great bar menu and lovely traditional Sunday roasts. Does a nice pint of San Miguel too!!

Having read good reviews we booked up for Sunday lunch for four. As soon as we entered we were impressed by the friendly welcome from behind the bar. We were seated in the conservatory restaurant which, for a cold winter afternoon was well heated with pleasant background music that was at just the right volume to add atmosphere, without being obtrusive. We all had a starter, 2 soups, a garlic mushroom and a fishcake. Each was served in good time and we all enjoyed. For our main course we all chose the beef and boy we were not disappointed. The veg (carrots, broccoli and cauliflower) was cooked to perfection, firm but not al dente, and the very generous portions of beef were melt in the mouth. With just enough room for dessert we had the strawberry cheesecake and the lightest of lemon sponge with custard. Again delicious. The service from the 3 young waiting staff was faultless and the whole experience was a joy. Well done on your high standards of food and service, which you clearly work hard to achieve. Wish you were our local pub but in any event we will be back many times in the future.

First time experience but not sure if I'd be back in a hurry. I had the Taverners chicken but it came smothered heavily in sauce and I asked for no cheese yet it still came thickly on. The plaice for my nan seemed overcooked and not much fish inside the crumb coating. Chips tasted heavy and greasy. I can't say much other than drinks was a good price and they helped with my gluten allergy..

Me, my husband and daughter decided to go somewhere for lunch and was recommended this place . My god we weren’t disappointed , the welcoming was lovely very accommodating i even forgot my little girls cushion that she likes to sit on and he went and got one you had that sense that he was a family guy ... very friendly and the locals seemed very friendly.. i have to say this place is a hidden gem having passed it a couple of times from work i only wished i lived closer as i would go here every-night for a drink or two after work ... food lovely pub food cooked fresh and we had a few sides , my daughter loved hers as much as we did ..... the chef is brilliant and it only makes me want to eat here more often nothing was rubbery or processed , it was fresh , homemade and the steak and ale pie was full of beef and i had the chillie which was amazing ... cant compliment then enough , we even heard they did fab Sunday roasts so we booked in for this Sunday.. they have a quiz tonight and only wish we had a babysitter to join them as they deserve locals and new business visiting them .. great place ... see u sunday 👍🏻😀

A party of 11 went to the 3 horseshoes for a family members Birthday and all had a great time. Mark is a great host and accommodated our large party. The pub itself is a traditional pub with log fire and good atmosphere. (hard to find these days) There is a large conservatory at the rear for larger groups. Nice selection of starters, I had the Garlic Mushrooms that were extremely tasty. For main i opted for the roast beef which was good and cooked very well with no complaints, loads of veg provided and ample gravy. The only criticism i have is that the roast potates were a bit hard but in all a satisfying meal. Desert menu came and i tried the apple and BlackBerry crumble and could decdie between icecream or custard and was offered both...mmmmm! The staff that served us were really friendly and polite. If you're looking for a decent Sunday roast you could do a lot worse than The Three Horse shoes! Thanks again to Mark and the team!
