K. C.Recently had a couple of great evenings at the pub. Staff are really friendly and welcoming and the food great value for money. If you like your sport to (which we did) then the screen facilities are brill. Will be back in again next weekend as enjoyed the atmosphere. The office staff also enjoy going in after work.
O.Great pub and great staff. I used to work there and I keep going back for drinks because Simon has done wonders for the place. Will too, he was so shy and timid but with my training and coaching he has worked his way up to assistant manager. I'm so proud of him 😁 and the whole team. Definitely recommend it!

e. c.Like to start off with the positives,I went to Abington last night had a lovely evening and had an amazing service from chloe as well as naomi. Which was a completely different experience I had last Sunday as I saw two women staff members vaping behind the bar, didnt catch their names but one was out of uniform and the other had a bad hand. Overall thank you girls from last night.

S. A.Highly recommended this large & spacious pub (all the more important, at the moment) with a good sized paved garden, pool table and they show the big game sports. A good selection of beers on offer and the typical, chain pub food is pretty good. End of the Wellingborough Road, this makes for a good starting point on a night in town and opposite the Abington Park, good for lunch on a day at the park.

T.Came here to eat with our dog last week, was quiet so we got served very quickly. The staff was very helpful and the red haired gentleman who served us was very funny and made us feel welcome. The food was nice and being a dog friendly pub it's nice to take our pooch with us. Will definitely be coming back soon!

C. W.The Abington is such a great pub, a true gem of Northampton. Always a really great vibe and atmosphere, good people and above all tasty cocktails! The food is your standard pub food but there's something for everyone and the prices are more than reasonable. Excellent location too, especially in the summer when you can spend the day in the park then the evening in the pub. Alternatively, it can be super cozy in the winter too and they even having heating in their garden if you do want to brave the cold. They've managed their Covid safety really well too, but I am especially looking forward to the return of karaoke night once it is safe to one day do so again.

h. b.Went here just after they let pubs open up again. Was greeted by a staff member who explained the new rules. Everyone was helpful and friendly and felt as though they had made a big effort to make the customer feel safe and comfortable. This is a better place to go for a hot or cold drink in the day instead of the park cafe which can be slow service and expensive. It may not be in the park, but is very close and has a garden area. 🙂

B.Enjoyed being out for the first time, the service was a bit slow and it was very cold, no blankets on offer to use which would have made a difference and not enough tables worth heaters, we were allowed to move seats to a table with a heater once the previous party had left at the end of the night so all good, food was great as always

J. C.It's an alright pub if you just want a casual drink. Nothing too posh. Staff are really nice and friendly. The food is the standard pub food. Some stuff on there I would eat I guess. Pool table and darts. They do karoke and events. Beer pong one Saturday. Has a good sized garden and smoking area. Plays the sports too. The selection of drinks are good and reasonably priced. Would visit again

J. D.I went down for the open mic hosted by Duncan and its been a while since I've been here, but I am definitely interested in visiting again. The staff were friendly, and this helped provide a very welcoming atmosphere for the pub. There was a great selection of lagers, ales and craft beer. Clean tables and floor throughout which is another credit to the staff considering how busy it was. I'm very impressed.
N. B.This is not a gastro pub but it's a good pub with good people and great staff. You can take your dog, have a lovely drink and the vegan curry is probably the best dish anyhow, so I'm not complaining. Just dont expect top notch pub grub 'cause this ain't the place Mr.
E. C.Just a very quick visit for a cold drink. This used to be our starting place for a Welly Road pub crawl way back in the 80's. Hasn't changed much. Layout is still the same. Appears clean and us obviously kept updated with fresh coats of paint. We didn't sample any food. But it was nice and quiet at 3pm on a Wednesday for us to have a chat.

T. S.I am local but hadn't been in the pub for many years. Welcoming friendly bar staff and a nicely decorated pub with a clean patio area well sheltered (from the sun as it was a very hot day). The food offering was the main disappointment. No healthy options for lunch such as salad etc. Usual pub fair but very basic. Had a baguette which had very little in it. Nice place to have a drink and a chat though.

I.e I'm very opinionated and 3 ales, 2 Indian pales (5 same taste), john Smiths and Guinness with lagers. I prefer best bitter wide choice not similar tasting pale ales. Good family atmosphere and regular entertainment.

C.A very pleasant Victorian pub, open space, fair food, efficient staff, decent draft beer, a good place to catch up with a pal on world news, our assessment of human weakness and the virtues of Northampton and its superb parks. A very likeable pub at lunchtime and mid-afternoon - yes, l'm retired - but well worth a visit, maybe meeting a friend for coffee, morphing into a snack or meal etc.
P.Lovely atmosphere with helpful and friendly staff. They have a great selection of beers, spirits and wines. This place gets busy but in a good way. Welly road pub crawl starts here.

B. i. B.We were a group of 26 adults and kids there for Sunday lunch. Very nice food and drinks. The staff and management did a great job looking after is all. Our food came out all together and hot. Yhe kids meals were grear value, as was the Sunday roast specials. Thanks.

s.I was disappointed at the menu change and long wait for food (45mins) was nice when it came tho. Staff are lovely and prices are good. Extremely loud group in there could barely hear ourselves.

L. A.Beautiful park,we have a route where we walk our dog at least 3 times a week it's the church side so we keep her lead on,but you would be surprised how many dogs are let to run around without leads,apart from that it's a 10 from us..
