Whereas the front and top is a lovely pub restaurant serving a great Sunday roast. Fabulous friendly service. We've been here numerous times when visiting the cemetery Just up the road and never been disappointed by the food.
Car park is a little small only drawback.

Well worth a visit to sample the warm and friendly environment, we'll designed garden seating area, wonderful selection of drinks, courteous staff and great food.

b. t.Good pub to watch sky sports. Bit hard to find a seat when the football is on . But good for the atmosphere. Some of the locals are the only thing that puts me off of going in there more often

L. B.Love this place! Popped in for a quick drink with a friend. The outdoor area is well thought out and has some powerful heaters to keep out the chills! A good mix of friendly staff and locals to give the place a really enjoyable atmosphere. We ended up ordering a few small plates, the squid was just perfect. Can't wait to return for a meal and full on night out very soon!
C.Food was very good. Prices are very reasonable too. Great family friendly atmosphere. I understand the reasoning as I'm sure product availability has been rocky as of late. Pandemic etc. But the menu options have been severely limited as a result. Only reason I haven't given 5 stars. But who knows in the future. Would definitely recommend though!

Z. D.Met a friend for a drink last night. It's been a while since we have been out for a drink together for obvious reasons! Table was booked for 8 pm for drinks. Nice terraced area with high tables and bar stools. Simple instructions to follow covid guidelines. Waitress service with bill at the end of the evening. Loved it. Warm enough evening not to be shivering. Lovely atmosphere, lovely outside space, lovely waiting staff, lovely evening. Strongly recommend it

L. 1.As I was so impressed with this lovely pub on my last visit I decided to take the family for a Sunday roast. Another wow 👏 my 2 teenage boys were more than happy and the size and scale of the Yorkshire pudding was very impressive! A huge thumbs up - definitely somewhere I will keep returning to. Jordan and Millie looked after us really well and the service was top notch 😊

I do appreciate that my review sounded a little harsh and I apologise for that.... but it was not just the steak & plaice, also a desert and a starter...the salmon .... that you ran out of - and you weren't that busy.
However, love the refurb, we are local, so we will be back !!

O. M.Staff were lovely, food was a mixed bag; the starters we had were halloumi and the chicken strips and they were great, but the main of hunters chicken was not as good as the starter suggested. The staff dealt with distancing very well and the restaurant area was well spread out. Overall a nice experience, I really like this pub!

B.Being a local resident the restaurant has always been excellent but with the added verve of the chef to produce a new menu with fantaastic fresh and quality ingredients the food really has gone up a notch. Great friendly atmosphere and a place you really should travel a bit to to try the awesome sharing platter. I had the meat one and it really was fantastic. Staff always on hand and super efficient so highly recommend a visit as soon as you can. Dog friendly too !
P. J. N.It's a great place and the friendly atmosphere is the first thing you notice about this place when you walk in the door.
Food great, easy to find but it can be awkward to find somewhere to park.
Some of the seats could be more comfortable but it doesn't ruin your experience.
If I lived more local then I'm sure that this would be my pub of choice.

S. C.Six of us all ate here on a fairly busy Saturday evening. The quality of the food was excellent the service was very good and the staff were polite, friendly and helpful,in particular with the fact it was my brothers birthday and we had brought our own cake. Plates and a knife to cut it were more than happily supplied. Only thing that let's it down is the bar prices which are typically dear in a pub from this group

P. N.Our second visit to Fox and Hounds for a Sunday evening Sunday "Lunch" in a couple of weeks. Good value for money and terrific Yorkshire pud. Plenty of vegetables and potatoes. Would have liked a little hotter.

A. o.Food was very tasty. Roast dinners are great. I'd avoid the chilli, whilst it was lovely you don't get much for your money. Basically a plate of rice with a tiny scoop of chilli on the side.

W.The Fox and Hounds in Kingsthorpe has seen many changes over the past few years It had a thriving football team and golf society Its Halloween and Christmas/New year events were always well attended by the locals Sadly the owners decided to revamp it and turn it into something it couldn't be at least in the area it served after a time of loosing regulars and falling takings they decided change how the pub was running appointing a new manager who new how the old style Fox and Hounds functioned I'm glad to say it has gradually returned to a pub enjoyed by regulars and visitors to the area It still has not regained its panache but hopefully this will return in due course It has a good selection of Beers, Wines and spirits and a comprehensive food menu always well presented and off excellent quality all be it a little expensive, It also has a nice outside seating area for eating and drinking weather permitting. Finally well worth a visit you will always find some one to engage in conversation with you

J. A.Great pub, only thing that lets it down, is the dominance of the quiz night. No chance whatsoever of a table on Wednesday nights - every table in the pub is consistently reserved for quizzers . Customers regularly turned away.

But they service was slow we was told they was giving out free cocktails for mothers but I had to chase it up..... they then didn't take off the deposit off the final bill so again I had to chase them up for it! But I don't think I will be coming hear again
