D. M.Take the bad reviews recently with a grain of salt it's difficult to manage and open a new pub especially after a massive lockdown that no1 has ever experienced. Place is big, spacious, apart from bands cancelling etc which is not down to the establishment it's still a really good night out if you are not travelling too ridiculously far. Always had a good drink here, and so glad to see it open again. But with anything new always takes time to evolve to be perfect
P. A.Always been my favourite pub and glad the new team have managed to reopen the Billy, keeping it as it should be. Live music an integral part of the pubs dna, with a good selection of bands playing on Saturday nights. Good ale and friendly bar staff too. Parking out front for bikes too.

S. W.Great Rock Venue we came to see local heroes LOKI and were not disappointed. We noticed a brilliant sound engineer who maximised the performance of all involved. Turned out to be an unforgettable night and aforementioned sound engineer was lead singer of Still Remains UK. LOKI made their debut as guests supporting Still Remains and have left their mark with their own style and performance. All bands got a shout out at the end . We will definitely come again, the acoustics coupled with attentive bar staff cool beer garden and a pool table make for a rocking good night 😎

Little disappointed no food on offer after checking website menu before going.
Coffee - looked like nice machine behind the bar but coffee was instant! Ok, it is a pub but we'd driven to get to the event so were not on the beers... Surely decent coffee is 'free money' for pubs?
And somebody clean the loos - bit of a stink standing by the stage everyone anybody opened the toilet door.
R. H.Went on Sunday to see Thin Lizzy tribute, band were very good. The pub itself is great at what it does, and they have many events on throughout the year, including biker nights. My only disappointment is the staffing levels, and trying to get served.

R. S.Great atmosphere. Really friendly regulars and staff. The most dog friendly pub I have seen outside the boozer opposite crufts. Loads of cask ales. Live music. Fun place. Proper pub with a rock twist.
H. L.Practiced proper covid precautions. Required details for the NHS test and trace, took our temperature and had social distancing markers on the floor. Brilliant selection of ales and drinks and the music wasn't so loud that you couldn't talk to each other.
D. S.This bar, biker bar, is the ONLY bar in the area without security. It's the ONLY bar in the area that never has fights and it is the ONLY bar in the area with the greatest of age ranges without any discrimination.
There's a lot to learn from this place, and other club and bar owners should seriously try to take some learning advice from this establishment

T. R. (.Great traditional style pub, always has alternative live bands, decent beers and always have a good guest ale on. Veey cosy during the week and humming on the weekend, nice pool table and a good outside seating area.
s. s. 6.Great music venue, very busy & lively.My wife didn't like being ignored by the bar staff for 25 mins though.Then I stand next to her & get served. Maybe they didn't like her friendly face & the £10 pound note in her hand...🤔
m.I was here on Friday (25th July 2014) and had a great night! There was a covers band who were very entertaining and enjoyable and the atmosphere was great too.
When the drink I initially asked for wasn't in the bar the barmaid offered to go and check the cellars for me in case there was some there (I declined her kind offer and chose something else) but she was very willing to check, not something you see everyday and shows the staff care about your night too!
Whenever I've been over to the 'King Billy' it has always been to see a band and they have a great range of rock bands so whatever you like you will find something for you.
Well worth the visit!

If you are new to the town, just visiting, or a Northampton Veteran, you have to love this pub.

L. G.My local rock bar: good beer and friendly staff. A variety of music: from beginner bands to covers and some originals. Most recently went to cover the RPM tour with local favourites Empyre, supported by NWOCR lads Ryders Creed from Birmingham and Rocket Dolls from Brighton.

Aside the bonus it is also home to some beautiful bikes and the beautiful people that ride them.
D.Metal/rock pub just on the very edge of the town centre, away from the chavvy crowds. Live music, pool tables (in poor-fair condition), large outside seating with some covered areas, and all of the drinks you'd expect to find.

j. h.My band First Offence have been playing the Billy for many years . The Bar is very professionally run by Rai and her staff and we are always disappointed if Rai is on a nite off . Having played 100s of bars over the years i can categorically state this is one of the best music bars in the country and if Rai was my daughter i would still be bathing her !
