What a beautiful room my daughter booked the room for her wedding anniversary, what beautiful panelling, and a really fantastic fireplace the meal was fantastic well done overstone manor,
R. H.
The Overstone Manor is family friendly with prices to suit everyone. You can order at the bar of use the app. We used the app and it worked well. We got our drinks very swiftly and the food followed within a couple of minutes.
The food is typical pub grub and the menu is immense....in fact too much choice! It's basic stuff but very tasty and good value for money.

Friendly staff, very nice Sunday roast, very good price. It was very busy but didn't have to wait for so long.

Visited The Overstone Manor for Sunday lunch with my partner. We both had the carvery. The food tasted great and the portion sizes were very generous for the price. Staff were friendly and efficient. It was nice to relax in the garden after dinner. Lovely day, thanks to Julian and the team.

Went here for the carvery on Sunday 8th to celebrate my wife’s birthday. On arrival we were greeted by a very friendly member of staff, and told there were some delays on the table service. This did not concern us as we wanted the carvery, I paid for the meal and drinks and again at the and the bar staff were very friendly. We had to que for about 5 minutes for the carvery, it was very much worth it though as the food was fantastic. Overall I would have no hesitation in recommending Overstone Manor and we will definitely be paying another visit.

As always had a great carvery here. This is the best carvery in Northamptonshire. Lots of veg to choose from. Great fluffy Yorkshire's and the roasted parsnips & Potatoes to die for. Always pleasant & friendly staff too. Great place and lovely outdoor seating area for summer months.
I. S.
The girls working there are so down to earth. The staff were so polite and could tell they were in the possession of that rare skill ... "common sense"! Loved my first experience and would definitely go back!!!!
S. R.
Lovely place to eat, food was excellent. Great value too. Bar staff could be a little quicker to server drinks and take food orders.
M. T.
Nice location. Very very fast serving speed! Staff were polite. Facilities were mostly excellent but the ladies toilet had no seat and was absolutely covered in urine. :/
T. D.
Thoroughly enjoyable afternoon.
Initially told an hour wait but was no where near it
Did was piping hot for our table of 6. Using the app meant drinks and desserts came even quicker after the meal
A. T.
What can I say, I'm stopping in a hotel not to far from here and there food is shocking but my review is of this pub which is absolutely brilliant, foods beautiful staff are exceptionally polite and my pint of ruddles was a triumphant. This is a really nice pub and the grounds are well kept, if I visit Northampton again I will visit.

I’ve always enjoyed visiting and eating at overstone over the years, however most recently it’s not been so enjoyable.
This is due to the strong smell of the lemon toilet tabs they use in the toilets, it’s so over powering that you can smell it inside the seating areas.
If they could change the use of these and find something not so strong, otherwise it is a good place to visit.

Was quite a long wait for our kids meals to arrive, but my carvery was delicious and the chef serving was nice and friendly. Lots of veg choice and decent roast potatoes!
J. O.
Well we expected it to be busy on fathers days. Headed down for my partners birthday with the family and Courtney and liam are amazing at there job couldn’t of asked for better service will defiantly be visiting again. Well recommended

Went evening of 6th april as it was my birthday NO COOKING TODAY! decided to go here as haven't been for a long time and wanted somewhere different. For a wednesday it was quite busy but they had some sort of car club meeting. Ordered food and told a min 45 minute wait. Got fish and chip supper and Hunters chicken. The food wasn't as hot as it could be, fish meal was ok but the hunters chicken only had a drizzle of oozy boozy cheese sauce and no barbecue sauce with a crispy bit of thin bacon. Nothing was mentioned when it got bought over (incase a shortage on deliveries ect) and we didn't notice till she'd gone. No one came round to ask if everything was ok and the food wasn't hot enough to go looking for someone. It was a shame really, and in past experiences with places it takes me a while before i try again. Just a note to say The hand dryer in the females wasn't working and had ran out of drying paper.
G. S.
Food was ok. Service a bit poor, probably short of staff. Nobody bring the cutlery to the table. Good place to stay with kids. One playground inside and second outside.
v. r.
Lovely place in a really nice historic building, the food was lovely and so were the staff. The only downside the seats all seemed to be ripped and tatty which let down the whole look of the place.
S. W.
Had a great visit with family today, carvery was excellent and great value for money, very helpful and friendly staff will definitely be visiting again soon, fantastic outside area too
K.
One person behind the bar, forgot the lettuce on the burger and the chicken on the mixed grill, food didn't come out at the same time, carvery was nice tho,
R. B.
Food good but nowhere near enough staff. Lots of queuing and cleanliness not great. Staff doing their best but out of their depth!
N. W. (.
Well priced meals, friendly barstaff and waitress, and the outside area is lovely, I've been here many times over the years and we always come back
A. R.
Found the food excellent, but not pre booking found a table up a corner in the dark the place was heaving with a twenty to thirty minutes wait in a queue at the bar not enough staff serving.Other than that it was great
A. M.
Food was nice been there a few times can't really complain too much, only issue is calling the pub you can never get through
m. s.
Food wasn't too bad pint of orange £3.00 desert took 40 minutes they forgot about us had to chase waitress for desserts will think twice about going back
R. W.
Great outside area and children play facilities had a lovely Carvery meal and strongly recommend as it is great value for money, friendly staff and will return soon
N. S.
Lovely carvery, felt safe and secure. Excellent service under still trying times for the hospitality industry.

Overstone Manor has got considerably better.
Pre pandemic the food quality was kind of going down hill, with the exception of the carvery, but since reopening it has dramatically improved.
Great staff and excellent service, along with good food, make Overstone Manor a cracking family meal out.
Well worth regularly eating out here.

We had a great time here tonight there was a bloke on the till will brown hair it was longish he was absolutely lovely and very chatty
L. S.
Overall, it was a lovely meal. The only downside was when the drinks arrived, they didn’t say about swapping one drink for another due to low stock, so we needed to go up to the bar and enquire (the waiter had no clue). And the cheesy garlic bread that we’d ordered had a very distinctive fish taste about it. We obviously didn’t eat this as it was revolting. Husbands mixed grill was well done, opposed to rare.
However the establishment was clean, warm and welcoming.
J. P.
Amazing food and good service the staff are very friendly. I will definitely be going back
s. w.
Food was ok,just we had carvery, they had run out of Yorkshire's,stuffing and 1 meat, but still charged full price.20 min wait to be served, and filthy toilets that didn't flush.
A. J. M.
Good atmosphere, dined in and had a burger from the set menu. Was good quality and great value. Can get busy here depending on time and day.
D. H.
Came here to pick up a magic food bag
App:- Too good to go
Great selection of left over carvery food that you serve up yourself. It's great that they don't through away food and the staff are lovely very chatty.
J. P.
Arrived there, lots of empty tables but was told by a mature lady that they don't do walk ins on a Sunday. Asked if we could wait in case of no shows - the answer was negative - so we left and drove to Poppyfields, although very busy they were only too happy to help us out, and seated us after 10 minutes 😀
a. s.
Great place for a nice quiet drink and some decent food. Definitely recommend a visit.
R. J.
The staff here are always so welcoming, the food is really good too despite the price tag. Definitely the best value for money place in the area
M. S.
Ordered via de app and I’ve waited 35 mins for the drinks (2 pints) and 50 mins for a burger and the place wasn’t even half full…the burger came without onion rings and they said they didn’t had any, but didn’t mention this before ordering or offer a discount or something, a bit disappointing for this beautiful location and it was supposed to be high standards.
R. K.
Have been hear many times over the years and can honestly say the placee has had some bad times. However it is much improved now with a good carvery offering and fresh feel inside.
N. A.
Nice staff. Good carvery. Some veg was destroyed by freezing but on the whole very good value
M. B.
Some carveries are bad. Some carveries are good but some carveries are unbelievable!! Properly succulent, magmotional meat. Cant tell you how impressed i was.
T. M.
Very good value for money for a Sunday carvery but I suggested booking as it can get very busy
K. B.
Sunday carvery was delicious.
I'm sure the chef called himself " handsome Dave". Lol.
B. T.
Lovely big pub, great facilities for the whole family (indoor soft play, out door play area)
S. M.
Great food, friendly staff but service a bit slow.
T. E.
Absolutely fantastic. Staff were brilliant. Food was amazing. A must visit!
G. C.
Good food nice staff but the app is not going to good so go two the bar
J. F.
Carvery is absolutely gorgeous! Lots of changes since I last visited back before the pandemic.
Still a great afternoon out and the kids love the play area.
M.
Lovely pub, with great facilities for the kids. Free pool on a Monday. Staff are charming.
Service is fast and very organised. Very clean.
Food is hit and miss carvey is spot on but 5 of q party of 20 had stake and it wasn't the best. I would return but stick to the carvey.
Overall a pleasant visit. 8/10
D. B.
Food was fine and reasonable value . Disappointed that had no large fish n chips ...it's pretty basic nosh and none of 4 cask ales available 😕staff seemed friendly . Pub was chilly though it's an old building with high ceilings couldn't get warm all evening ...wear your thick woollies!
L. R.
I normally go around 1.pm for a carvery and its really busy, we went today at 3.30pm and got last table available. Best carvery I have had there.
Kind regards
Lorraine
k. r.
Visited on a Sunday, it was very busy, which is always a good sign, we were not disappointed on the food, carvery was lovely and we are glad we booked a table otherwise I think we would have been turned away as some families were we noticed. Only negative for us is we queued for 40 minutes for carvery, the gentleman carving the food did an outstanding job under pressure and kept us smiling, but please get him some help, a raffle ticket system could work here so he doesn't have to check everyone's table numbers, made even more difficult as we had a young baby with us so our group had to stagger going up for food rather than all go up together.
s. d.
An impressive building with plenty of parking. Surrounded by woodland with picnic tables set amongst the trees. Inside is very light and airy with telltale signs of the manors long history still visible. The extensive menu was of plain, well cooked food of ample proportions. The chairs however are not the most comfortable you might like. I found they certainly encouraged one to move on to more padded areas elsewhere. That being said, I enjoyed a pleasant couple of hours there. I'd certainly go there again.
J. E.
This place really is out and off the beaten track on a country lane overlooking open countryside.
Once found though you drive through some gates and a wonderful converted large house which is sizeable, loads of ground with outdoor seating and plenty of parking too.
A very welcoming atmosphere with good menu choices and even has a carvery which really is good.
Prices are reasonable with the service being spot on and the staff are friendly making the entire experience wonderful .
D. J.
Good hot meal, friendly staff, decent beers, 2 meals, 3 pints and a pitcher of cocktail £34
P. H.
Very busy on a Sunday but worth the wait. Friendly staff reasonable pricing.
C. I.
Incredible atmosphere, great carvery, Thursday night quiz good fun! All take a trip there
J. D.
Staff very polite and helpful. Mash potatos were q strange colour. Not a great deal of veg.. no peas
S. B.
Had a lovely meal here. Sat outside to eat near the play area so we could see the kids while they played.
Ordered from the app so didn't need to go to the bar.
Service was quick and the food was lovely.
i. b.
We like it here. Spoilt this evening with roast potatoes and parsnips that we felt had been deep fried. Other than that good company, friendly staff.
J. K.
Meals always value for money. Staff very friendly and helpful again today well done.
P. H.
Nice place, food nice, but took over a hour before we got it.
K. P.

Just a lovely carvery, good price and very nice helpful staff 👍
J. W.
The first time I've been for a couple of years, so my first encounter with the restrictions. Everything was adhered to really well and the service was very good. We had the carvery and it didn't disappoint. The turkey and gammon were perfect.
L. H.
Very friendly, excellent service, fantastic food.
Our family had a fabulous experience. Thank you
M. S.
Went to the quiz night. Most enjoyable, especially since we won the snowball cash prize !!
v. T.

Brilliant place to visit, food I always amazing, never had a bad experience with the food itself wait times can very but depends how busy it is on the day so I understand that, staff are very friendly and helpful. It’s now my go to pub and I have some closer to me but prefer this one. Quiz nights are great too 😊
S. W.
Customer service needs to be worked on. Que at the bar and staff wandering around where could of supported the two staff behind the bar.
m. s.
Lovely carvery nice and hot plenty of choice
D. M.
A lovely meal generous portions
M. W.
Just a good place for a carvery. Easy parking ...beer's a bit expensive though
S. W.
Cavery was a big let down ,cold hard mash veg only warm not hot meat was the best thing on plate .
G. C.
Table wasn't ready for the time we had booked and had limited menu as didn't have much in stock
B. E.
Was a privilege to take my family, friends and my Grandson and his friends for a party. And was very reasonable and we all enjoyed our food, would definitely recommend it, staff so obliging. 👍🙏🌈🦋🎄
l. p.
Friendly staff, especially Dave serving the carvery!! Food was lovely, meat cooked perfectly. Excellent choice of vegetables and all served piping hot. Would highly recommend.
J. B.
We came today and the food was lovely as always. My 10 year old son had a carvery and the man serving him was so lovely with him. After we had finished our meals my son wanted to personally thank the man that served him as he thoroughlyenjoyed it. He was called Dave and and his colleague was Mason.
H. B.
Nice carvery and chef made it the best with great service. He definitely loves this place, treats every customer extremely high and makes you smile. Thanks, I'll be back soon!!
K. “.
Accommodating for wheel chair user, hot cavery, generous portions at a good price. Staff are very friendly and the place was rammed to the rafters but service was still very prompt. Will go again, as this was our first time.
C. D.
Lovely carvery went with friends very enjoyable
A. C.
Beautiful setting, great chef( think his name was Craig).
D. C.
Pretty good service food could be better
F.
Food wasn't brilliant, went for the Carvery on a Sunday, we arrived at 2.00pn and the carvery looked awful and dried out. Ended up ordering off the menu. £80 for 5 people including drinks, so not too expensive.
C. E.
My husband and I had the carvery today it was excellent the plates and the food were lovely and hot Dave couldn’t do enough to help us first class service Well Done Ross and Team.
O. B.
We arrived at the door and was greeted by the lovely staff members at the door. She noticed we had our 10 week old baby and gave us an alternative entrance into the building due to the stairs at the front of restaurant. We sat down and felt comfortable to be in public for the first time. With their one way system and special measures in place it was really nice to feel comfortable bringing my 10 week old son to their facility. Our mains arrived, they were amazing and thoroughly enjoyed ours. Because I was attending my son the lovely member of staff at the door asked to take my food and keep it warm. I thought that was a lovely gesture. It was really nice speaking to the staff and it gave reassurance that we had chosen the perfect place to dine that night. So to all the staff thank you for your kindness as well as professionalism. Hope to see you soon
C. w.
Fantastic atmosphere for families. Had nephews 8th birthday here. The staff are amazing, thank you for a great afternoon/evening 😊 Amazing food and service 👍

Went to Overstone manor on wednesday, the staff were all great, but young lady serving the carvery was exceptional, very cheerful, polite, and couldnt do enough to help. Would definatley reccomend and go back...
D. C.
Food OK, service OK, pub OK
Everything was just ok
Can't realy say anymore than that
E. B.
I went to a baby shower on Saturday and the food was great place very clean and managed very well also very flexible and it was a great atmosphere it was the first time I had been in 2 years managed by new people now and I will go back again thanks I think Rob and Julie .
t. b.
Cuttlery was scarce, as were the condiments. Ordered the rump steak and asked for diane sauce, plate wss served with no sauce then was asked if i wanted peppercorn sauce, said yes. No sauce arrived. Apart from that the food that we had all ordered was lovely. Knocked off half stars for cutlery and lack of sauce.
A. R.
Choose a quiet time and this place can be excellent, punching well above its weight in terms of value and quality of food AND having staff that deliver on many fronts. I'll name check Trish and Dave, one of the cooks, only because my memory is so shocking. In truth they all deserve a mention. In trying times this place comes highly recommended. We HAVE been back and we WILL be back...so long as we don't enter Tier 3!
D. B.
Maybe need to clean the disabled toilets a little bit more, handle was disgusting and marks on the walls all around the toilet walls and near the sink, food was ok not much veg selection on the carvery
P. C.
Very pleasant meal. Fairly priced!
L. J.
1st time going, absolutely lovely, inside & out. Best ive been to.
Will definitely be going again.
Great food & service
A. D.
Absolutely fabulous service from the ladies here as usual! We ordered from the kitchen as opposed to the carvery, food was hot and tasty. We're regularly in the area and always go here if we can, never had a bad meal or service here, highly recommend!
V. C.
Not overly impressed as per usual in this place but thought we'd give it another go as the setting is so lovely. Wait is too long. Staff clearly have all their friends here for lunch getting preferential treatment over the rest of us. Disappointing
c. w.
We would definitely recommend, the food was lovely and hot,we had the fastive carvery , definitely going back
A. L.
Cheap but good carvery... Get what you pay for 👍
A. A.
Just had a great meal here!!
Roast dinner= a huge tasty meal. Cant fault it!!
Chicken kebab- best iv had anywhere in a long time!!
Chocolate cake= delicious
Amazing food and service!! Well done!
D. h.
Looked after by Mandy and Kathie, who persevered with delivering meals and drinks to us at the furthest table away from the main building in the garden area, food was great, reasonable waiting time for service on one of the busier days due to the good weather.
C. O.
Visited today and had carvery. All tables very well spaced. Lots of sanitizer and staff very attentive. Everything well organised. Only criticism is the carvery could have been a bit hotter. Will definitely visit again. A nice change to feel comfortable eating out.
R. E.
Great food, great service, lovely atmosphere. Lots of tables available to sit inside or in the lovely open gardens. Both indoor soft play and outdoor play areas for children. Dave the carvery chef was really friendly and helpful. Highly recommended
l. b.
We've been many times good food carvery good friendly staff
D. U.
Perfect chicken wings I need to know where I can buy that Nashville hot sauce
J. R.
Lovely lunch 🍸🍽️🍺 friendly welcome and food arrived in a short time 😊 started to get busy around 1230, lovely atmosphere with the staff taking part in the Halloween festivities 👻🤗
k. r.
First time in a Carvery for a while, and overall the experience was wonderful!
Pros: Quick service, nice atmosphere, well decorated interior, spacious place, good selection with food, food was a great quality for a low price.
Cons: Cleaning wasn't spectacular, all our drink glasses had previous lipstick marks and bits of dirt on them, plates also had old bits of gravy or sauce on them. Cutlery had dirt marks as well. It might be an idea to add a few more options for pudding as it was out of balance with the range of lunch/dinner choices.
J. B.
We visited in a Saturday afternoon a group of 4. We very much enjoyed 3 of the 4 meals and the other was just OK. Meals arrived quickly and the waiting staff were polite and attentive. The bar staff I have a mixed opinion on after once being very friendly when ordering meals, when I ordered deserts I was huffed at when a mending an order which was disappointing, other than that a good experience and would be happy to eat there again in the future.
S. E.
Great food, staff really helpful and efficient
S. W.
Lovely place with friendly staff and the carvery was lovely i believe it was daimo on shift. Also terri took us to our table and was very helpful and welcoming 🙂 shall be returning .
J. W.
We had 3 To Good To Go roast dinners. They were amazing, so much food, brilliant service and no waiting 🙂💕 x
A. C.
Went here for dinner last night. Well organised and plenty of space so felt perfectly safe. Good portions and great value for money. Great job guys!
M. M.
Too many kids running around, more like a playground than restaurant, if you want to be a grown up go else where, if you have a family then perfect
A. W.
Got lost finding it...food was a little disappointing..atmosphere was ok.
G. G.
This is a fantastic pub, being an old Manor house it has a stately air to it which when visited in summer allows you sit in the large sun trap garden (with decent playground) and during winter is warm and inviting. The interior is impressive with its huge windows and expansive ceiling. The pub menu is of a good standard but the real treat is the carvery, our last meal was amazing. If I could, I would have eaten it all over again.
T. T.
You have to book before, beautiful grounds.
S. l.
Excellent meal .Busy ,but served in a timely manner
Staff efficient with" Covid" rules
B. C.
Had a carvery today and it was first class. The staff were so friendly and helpful we couldn't fault it. Thank you xx
T. S.
Excellent service from the friendly staff.
They were very busy but managed to find us a table even though we hadn't pre booked
T. M. A.
Five star review
Five stars for the staff
Five stars for the food
Five stars for cleanliness
Five stars for the toilets
Excellent menu
Competitive prices
Tasty food
Well done... As a Google food reviewer you have achieved our highest marks we hope you keep up this achievement. The management want to congratulate the staff as these high values reflect future people coming into the restaurant and pub. All the staff deserve a pat on there backs for all there hard work and friendly faces.
W. S.
Lovely, lovely servers. The place has got a bit tatty over the years.
Good quantity of food especially the meat on the carvery. A bit canteenish in quality. Menu food item was nothing special.
Good price especially carvery, had standard size which was more than enough.
F. R.
We booked for our anniversary and asked for outdoor seating or window seats and when we arrived in the midst of a thunderstorm a wonderful waitress called Trish took us to a lovely window table in a quieter part of the restaurant and gave us a bottle of wine in the house to celebrate its truly an amazing venue with massive seating and wonderful food!! Would 100% recommend to anyone and everyone ❤
H. D.
Order New York chicken. I only walked from the bar to my table and me food was there.
The rest of the group waited half an hour for theirs. This was obviously a meal that was made up for someone else and not needed.
It was a little dried up so I sent it back. They grilled the tomato and gave it back to me. The manager said they have meals waiting that’s how they keep the price down. He offered to get me another one but said it would be the same so I declined and just ate a few of the chips.
Everyone else seemed happy with their food so maybe a one off.
Staff were very pleasant and a nice place to sit with a drink but don’t think I will be ordering food again.
S. M.
Visited the Overstone Manor today for the carvery. The food was as you'd expect from a carvery and reasonably priced. The staff we're friendly enough, but be prepared to wait! There are way too few staff for the number of customers. Perfectly pleasant if you don't fancy more than one drink, because you'll be waiting 30 minutes every time you want one!
C. T.
It was lovely , wasn't my turn to pay lol .
Food was great I had the mash with minted mushy peas mixed in mmmmm .
Really enjoyed that a little different .
It is really covid aware , though there weren't that many people when we went so there was lots of room.
You can only book for a party of 6 more than this you will be split as these are the new rules .
Go and enjoy staff are lovely too , pleasant and friendly .
N. M.
Great food, love the carvery. Really good value. Nice atmosphere. Staff are friendly and great at keeping the tables attended and cleaned. Loads of parking. Indoor play area for kids and lots of space outside for summer. Only reason not 5 stars is they always run out of yorkshire puds on the carvery and I'm talking 5pm ish.
C. J.
Lovely pub great atmosphere and friendly staff.
R. H.
We've been three times and twice carvery has run out of meat. Staff are friendly and helpful but the ordering and storage is obviously not working. The house is a victim of it's own success really, and addressing the meat supply issue would make a big difference.
T. L.
Food delicious customer service great
T. B.
I have been to Overstone Manor a few times for the carvery with a client, also with my partner fir a meal. Food is always really good, staff polite and helpful, and very friendly towards my client. I was there with a client over the weekend and the only thing to let it down was a staff member so say training a new member of staff, however the conversation she was having was basically the low down on staff members and general gossip, with her being quite short with another staff member at one point saying it may seem I'm being lazy but I'm training. The whole conversation was right next to where we were sitting. Maybe staff should be reminded about discretion and remembering where they are. Other than that great service
S. H.
If you like a calvery then you must give this place a go, you will not be disappointed the food is first class and 5he staff are so helpful and polite
A. H.
Went on Friday lunch time. 3 of us had the carvery, meat was excellent but the veg was very disappointing. Parsnips and cauli cheese were nice but carrots and potatoes were too hard. As for the sprouts, which i love when they are cooked, were disgusting. I even left them they were so bad. Like a warm sponge in layers, they were awful.
J. C.
The staff are so friendly here. Always wanted to help or interacting with my children. Food is good especially the carvery. Two play areas. A little field and large outdoor area so it's super kid friendly. We will go again
J. M.
Great food, large portion and space outside to eat. Staff friendly and helpful. Value for money.
P. M.
Friendly staff and usually decent food. Had a couple of issues over the years we've been going but they have always been courteous and understanding of our complaints. We have received good will gestures from ice cream for the kids to refund for any meal that wasn't up to scratch.
T. H.
Amazing carvery! The variety of dishes available was awesome 13 in all. By far the best carvery in the order vegetables were perfect not to soft not to crunchy. The meat melted in your mouth and the gravy was Devine. To be honest wasn't an item on the plate I could moan about. The children's dishes were cooked well too.

We had good food here, we were told it could be a 50 minute wait but our food arrived in 30 minutes. Definitely large portions and was all cooked to our liking. It seemed very under staffed, although they were all working very hard, we had a 15 minute wait at the bar just to order! I would go again.

Staff vert helpful and friendly carvery was pretty decent small and medium options more than sufficient for normal eaters

Steaks were not good. Didnt taste like sirloin, difficult to cut and very hard to chew and eat.We mentioned this and gave up trying to eat them. We were offered replacements or free desserts or free drinks..
We opted for desserts.
Service was slow. It would have been good practice to inform customers who were not having the "carvery" of the delays, unless this was the norm?

I went with my wife and two grandchildren for Sunday lunch.
They have a resonably children's menu and a fairly extensive adult menu including three plate sizes for your carvery plus the option of extra pigs in blankets.
Overall the food and service was good.
I suggest that you get in early as it is a very popular place to eat and gets very busy.

Friendly homely atmosphere, staff are so welcoming and friendly ,we felt safe and totally looked after the entire stay.
We all had a carvery meat eaters and vegetarians and all left feeling satisfied and full!😊
Thank-you Overstone 👏

My Hubbys chips were not realy warm we could have said but so so busy Otherwise my steak was cooked to perfection

Had the carvery meal, not the best I've had,it was very cold in the pub I'm not a quick eater therefore my meal was cold half way through my eating it ......
M. J.
Fantastic meal would definitely recommend

Good food and service and a good price

You get what you pay for food wise, good play areas for kids though 1 inside and 1 outside & pool table and lots of outdoor seating
E. C. H.
Nice and decor, very relaxing atmosphere, i can't really give a green king 5 stars as theirs always messy tables and tired looking staff, but as a green king goes its as good as it gets!

Love this pub, it has a really lovely friendly atmosphere and the staff are very helpful and friendly.
They do fantastic food including a carvery which also comes in a vegetarian version. The food prices are reasonable, they often have offers listed on the menu and the portion sizes are great.
There is also a large free car park and garden with a play area which is great in summer and dogs are welcome in the grounds, but not inside the pub.
This pub is one of the fayre and square chain but in my view this one is better than the other two fayre and square pubs in the Northampton area. As the service in this one is better and the pub and it's facilities are so much cleaner. 😊

Good food.
Place was HEAVING!
Around thirty people lining up for the carvery!
J. C.
A very pleasant family meal. We were satisfied with the quality and service...

Went for a mid week visit. The carvery veg had just been refreshed, its better than it has been in previous years. There were some kids running around, but that's more to do with parents than the place
J. H.
Short of food on the menu, otherwise, good food and value.

Visited on way back from a morning out with one of our grandchildren.
The food came quick despite it being busy.
It was as we requested and they were very helpful with sorting out food that my grandchild would eat.
Nothing seemed to be too much trouble.
W. H.
Food was yummy but felt a little rushed as staff were turning things off as hints they closing we were still eating!
H. C.
Very grand building with lovely views and outside area. Surprisingly reasonably priced menu considering the surroundings! I had the carvery, which I would recommend. There seemed to be quite a few business people working/having meetings, plus a function in a large room, but still space for other customers.
S. S.
Very disappointed, went in for a carvery, food was disgusting, total waste of money, very noisy atmosphere, will not be back
A. B.
Went with some friends for the carvery and enjoyed an amazing meal. One of my friends also enjoyed old golden hen real ale and said that this is the only place that doesnt water it down. Cant rave about the food or staff, including Fiona, Steven and Peter
M. G.
Upped my review to 5 stars after visiting other carverys in the area and rhen returning here again. The Overstone Manor Carvery is one of the best. Made even better by the lovely friendly staff who can't do enough for you.
R. P.
Worth a visit if you like carvery.
If there's a group of you then it would be best to book ahead. However if just 2 of you, then just rock up..
Its certainly in a nice part of Northampton with plenty of space outside for families or just for walkabout.
A great place to visit.

Fantastic new Carvery & menu very reasonable prices for all food, kids menu available. Friendly staff & Kitchen manager James Clancy is a "Star" & excellent Chef. Tribute to Robbie Williams on Friday evening was very good. Children's play area & ball pit available.
N. H.
Good carvery, no helping yourself at the you can still have moment, but you can still have what you want, just served up by staff, there was only sprouts & red cabbage as veg unfortunately, but could of been because we were there right at end of serving time, 2.30 for carvery, reopens again at 4.30.
M. M.
This has just had a refit so looks fairly smart inside. The carvery is good value, but if you go for a later meal on the weekend, be prepared face the mess left behind after families have left. Cheap and cheerful!
L. G.
Had a standard carvery and it was massive super generous with the portions. Excellent service
l. T.
We were seated quickly and informed how to order. Customer service was very good everyone we spoke to was extremely polite. We all chose large Carverys . The choice was good every thing was perfectly cooked .
J. G.
Lovely Place. Lovely Food 👍🙂
m. w.
Little disappointed in the food quality thought carvery in particular very poor the restraunt it's self was very nice staff attentive and cleanliness levels good it's a shame food was a let down
S. W.
Value for money and lovely food
P. D.
A lovely location and a wonderful team looked after us, a great carvery meal, with good food options, great drink options and a good family place. We'll definitely be back
C. L. (.
Although a typical chain with microwaved pub food the setting is very nice. The manor house gives a more upmarket feel. I recommend the carvery, at least the majority of that is cooked by real chef.
Cheap enough and some good offers on food and drink. The kids play area is a bit small.
Once we waited around 40 mins and still didn't get served so left.
p. e.
We love coming to the manor the staff are brilliant, a very good atmosphere since the refurbishment, but sometimes the food let's them down, there is no consistency in the vegetables on the carvery sometimes they are brilliant another time they are under cooked , then another time they were cooked but cold.
Liz is very welcoming and always looks after her regulars.
A. C.
The staff are amazingly friendly and helpful, the food is very nice, cooked fresh and served hot and quite quickly. The indoor and outdoor play areas are an added bonus for the kids. The building is gorgeous and the scenery is lovely. Can't fault this place
A. B.
Could do with more than two people serving behind the bar
J. F.
Top Quality Restaurant that I have been coming to for what seems to be 100 years. Within grounds of Overstone Manor Park. I can remember when this establishment used to be high Class place for afternoon tea. That was some 40 years ago. NOWDAYS , as part of Green King group it is largely family restaurant. Recently going into establishment offering delicious Carvery for around £5.50. A true bargain.
A. K.
Food lovely but not enough staff, very slow to get food out
M. B.
Very busy so delays in ordering food and drink and would have benefited from more staff to deal. Wish there was table service or an app to make it quicker but got ordered eventually and food was very good when we got it. Having to requeue to get more drinks was off putting so didn't bother so for a large party likes us they would have lost out on potential income.
B. M.
Much better after refurb, the building and the food. Went in there a week ago hoping to enjoy a lovely carvery but was disappointed as apparently there was a problem with the ovens so they only had turkey, shame as we had a carvery the previous visit and it was really good. It won't stop us going again though.

Deciding last minute, on a Friday night, we didn't want to cook, we came to the pub. With a kitchen open until 22:00, and only a 5 minute drive away, Overstone Manor was the right choice of food source.
We were met with a friendly polite demeanour of the bar staff and assured we could still eat.
We took drinks to the table, and chose our meals. We order just shy of 10 minutes ago, and the chap who served me was conscientious enough to ask if we wanted anymore drinks while I was there. Very soon service! I declined for myself as I'm driving, which led to a little friendly chat about being the designated driver, nice.
We are now 10 minutes from ordering. But having eaten here before I expect I'll get a good standard of pub grub, hot off the plate (cause we're the only ones eating), in the not too distant future!! Bon Apedit
B. O.
Took daughter son in law and the rug rats. Good play area to keep little ones amused while order is prepared. I chose gammon as did my granddaughter. The baby wanted chicken nuggets and son in law rump steak . People on next table ordered similar. No rump no gammon no nuggets. The alternatives were fine but our experience was not what we had hoped.
J. P.
Great atmosphere, great car parking, really nice staff members a few need to learn to smile a bit more. The food is great but for smokers could have kept a nice dry shelter so dont have to get wet in the rain..
J. S.
Had a great meal tonight. Amanda our waitress was very helpful and friendly. Looking forward to our next visit. Thank you for making us do welcome.

Great food, great staff. Make sure you book a table as it gets busy

Nice old pub with soul and delicious carvery

Even though it was empty service still very slow
C. K.
Always enjoy going here! Usually got space without booking! 👍

Came here for our 40th birthday, never been before and it did look good from the carpark. Un fortunately tjis cant ssid zbo2ut service and the food. At 1.30pm the kitchen had run out of: beef burgers, gammon, fish, scampi and chicken nuggets. This left us with a very limited selection for my son. We finally ordered chicken fillet chips, the chicken was dry and looked like it had been cooked hours ago. The carvery was satisfactory especially the meat, but not too sure mushy peas is suitable for a roast dinner!
Mains finished we ordered a pudding and chasing it up it finally arrived but took 30 mins altogether.
The tables were not being cleared with plates amd glasses everywhere.
Its was not a good experience for us and will not be going again.
P. S.
Good food but service is a little slow but dont let put you off
N. H.
Was really good for a cheap and cheerful place to take the kids. Food was really good, beef was gorgeous, as good as I have had in any restaurant. Staff really busy but really happy and cheerful. Would recommend this place.
E. C.
Delicious food. The servers were all polite and thorough in explaining their working procedures as well as advising us where to exit the building in order to socially distance from other patrons.
I. S.
Lovely carvery. Friendly staff and competitive prices. Will be going again soon.
D. W.
Great experience with a huge beer garden, well setup with new outdoor furniture and heating.
Service was fast and friendly.

SECOND VISIT:
Decided to play safe and have the fish again today. Upgraded to a large portion, which promised more chips. Thankfully, whilst I wanted more fish, I didn't particularly want many chips; luckily for me, I received what appeared to be quite a meagre offering and am left wondering what a 'standard' portion might have constituted. My wife had ordered vegetarian sausages for herself (still very few other vegetarian options available), but instead received what appeared to be two small barbecue briquettes, hurting her teeth as she attempted to bite through the outer shell of one. The (presumably) manager, to his credit, was polite and resolved the problem relatively swiftly. Perhaps some additional training might be advised for the cook on duty.
FIRST VISIT:
Fairly standard meal, typical of your average pub menu. Battered fish slightly overcooked, onion rings slightly undercooked, so on balance all perfectly edible! Very swift service, but to be expected given that very few customers were eating at the time we ordered (just after five o'clock) and staff were pleasant and attentive.
s. W. (.
Got to visit the pub at 3pm when all other food places around the area had stopped serving lunch, which automatically was great. Great prices, lots for children to do with a play area outside and a soft play area indoors. Food was okay, the usual pub classics. The carvery times are limited.
B. A.
Everybody else is saying poor to fair I love it there though I haven't been for ages when I have previously gone the food and drink were loveley and lots of choice also there were tons of places to sit. Inside and outside. The play area was big and is subtitle for all children. I went once for a wedding and it was fabulous. The foods not to expensive either . I'm going again today so lets see if its still as good
D. H.
We were down at sywell for a car show an made a one off visit, the service was second to none staff couldnt do enough to help will visit again when were back for sure and will recommend to others.
D. A.
Had the most delicious roast beef meal. Staff are lovely too!
A. U.
The service there is great should go there
L. C.
Recently redone, and a new look. I had a steak . It was done perfectly. Staff was attentive and the chef came to ask if the food was good. Very well priced. All in all a good feed and good value for money.
E. P.
Had reservations about coming here as last time I came I was very dissatisfied with the food. However this time the food was really good and even though it was busy we got our carvery quickly. Roast potatoes were very good!
C. L.
Great experience. Sheila was an exceptional hostess. Well done. Food quality amazing. All in all a great visit 😊

Great carvery. Unfortunately a long wait due to covid restrictions at the time but worth the wait in the end.....
