A fascinating place to drink. A large room with lots of space and interestingly decorated with hops and brewery items. Great selection of beers obviously and very good value. The barman wasn't particularly welcoming to us, maybe he was just having a bad day as other reviews comment on the friendly and knowledgeable service.

What a fantastic afternoon! After a warm welcome in the bar we followed Al into the brewery where we enjoyed his fascinating tales about the history of Phipps, the family and the brewery. A sample or two of the Albion Brewery's finest products was enough stimulus to the beer buds to encourage me to sample a couple more with the best ploughman's lunch I've had for many years. We then went back to tour the tunnels, take a look at the well and then to the gin room! Thank goodness for the Neville Brothers and for Bill Urquhart - three of Northampton's finest.

A good pub experience. Nice atmosphere and decor. It was good to be able to see the brewery from the bar. There was a good selection of the on site brewed ales and gins so will need to go back try more.

Great place had my first pint of Phipps Beer since 1950s. I enjoyed the experience. Although it was Lunchtime when we went in it was well attended. I had a strong Phipps NBC and it was smooth drink although it was a bit too sweet for me but that was my palate! I doubt that I shall be coming back to Northampton so I shall not be enjoying the experience again but I will be checking the website and see about ordering Phipps and NBC beers!

I visited in October 2019 and booked a tour, not expecting much more than a standard explanation of the brewing process and beer tasting. What my family and I got was the above, but with an incredible story of the history of Phipps, Beer and Northampton all rolled into one! Alaric Neville the MD (with a fascinating background in beer, music and history) really brought it to life, plus a gin tour and tasting session were thrown in for good measure. Best brewery tour I've been on, beating Fullers, Hog's Back, Wychwood etc. Great beer, food and gin; a must if you are in the area.

Excellent beer and they do an excellent brewery tour which is good value. The MD is very passionate about the brewery and very entertaining to listen to. Also worth checking out their own gins which are genuinely excellent. Also, skittles, bar billiards and darts give an extra something to a brilliant place for a drink (and a bit of history!)

It was so nice to go back to this great brewery bar after so long away. The beers were as usual were excellent. It would be best to check when they open again. I will certainly be going back again another time. 😃

A great traditional pub with brewery attached. Quite a unique place with Northants Skittles, darts and Bar Billiards (all free) and a great selection of their own brewed beers. I would also highly recommend the brewery tour!

fascinating tour of the brewery. My second visit. First was conducted by the MD who focused on history of the company and premises. Now we had the brewers who focused on brewing and the beer - I'll drink to that! I have posted many photos but somehow they seem to be slightly out of focus, hic.

Very pleasant and comfortable with excellent range of Ales brewed on the premises.

Great venue and the tour should not be missed a businesses that cares about the history of what they do and the people who started it and the importance of the location and the premises and, this is a businesses that Northampton town should be promoting as part of its history.
