K. M.We stayed at Billing Aquadrome for 5 days and paid several visits to the Quays pub and carvery. Each meal was delicious and reasonably priced. We didn't have to wait long after ordering and the staff were really friendly and helpful. We loved the outside decking area looking out over the river and loads of barges moored there.

S. A.The Quays has a fairly standard pub-chain menu wit the added bonus of a decent sized carvery. Prices are good and there's plenty of space in the pub, with a large deck by the marina (for warmer days). A few menu items were unavailable, but we managed and food was served in about 30 minutes. Would definitely recommend, but if your going on a colder day, you might want to sit away from the doors, to avoid cold breeze
M. S.We went for lunch, the place wasn't too busy. Our meals didn't take long to arrive and looked good. I had the gammon which came with egg and pineapple, it was cooked nicely. I also had a side salad which was freshly made, my only complaint would be the salad dressing as i prefer mine without. My husband had the beef and ale pie , he said it was really nice beef was tender and flavoursome.
J. S.We had a lovely time for a birthday meal. Everyone enjoyed their meals. I had the carvery which was so nice. The beef especially was so tender and melt in the mouth! There was so much to choose from, puffy Yorkshires, lots of lovely veggies. My only slight disappointment was that the cauliflower cheese wasn't very cheesy and a bit watery tasting, but there was so much to choose from I'll just choose something else next time. The outdoor area is beautiful with all the boats and swans etc. It's a lovely place to visit whether for a meal or just a drink on a summer evening.

A.The place is great but the service was very very slow. Friday night and only one person serving drinks. Waited 15 minutes to get served.Ordered a starter and a main meal, got 2 starter portions after a 50 minute wait.My friends had the Carvery,which they thoroughly enjoyed.
It's a shame they didn't have enough staff to cope with the volume of customers.
I won't be returning.

We sat outside, ordered on the app, all our drinks were perfect any issues or questions were dealt with polity. The staff I can't praise more during this pandemic they were helpful and amazing. The carvery was so tasty. A true 5 star experience for an afternoon lunch with the girls, in the hot sun.
After being in complete isolation since March, this was my 1st day out for a meal. As apprehensive as I was I felt put at ease and made very comfortable from the start.
Highly recommend and I will be returning. Going to try to get a table for our 1st wedding anniversary on the 2nd of August.

Child friendly place. You can sit inside and have table service or sit outside and, watch the boats, use an app to order your food and drink. Will definitely be going again.

L. g.A great pub, with a beautiful surrounding. Lovely views over the marina from the decking. Normally come in for a carvery which we can never fault and always have a good laugh with the carver. Staff are friendly and attentive and we commend them for all of their efforts during these weird times. Cannot wait to visit again and we are looking forward to our Christmas meal as long as Boris allows it. Keep it up Quays, have recommended you to all of my friends, family, neighbors you name it! C. T.Firstly I arrive on time not early and not late, bit was still kept waiting at the door for sometime to be seated. There was 6 of us but we only received two menus which was annoying. We were asked if we wanted to order via the app and or table service. It took 45 mins from being seated for the waitress to come and ask if we wanted drinks or food. Fortunately we had already ordered because after 35 mins after being seated we complained. The food was ok, I normally enjoy trhe food there but this time the potatoes tasted like frozen ones and the cauliflower cheese was just hard plain cauliflower. The vegetarian option was dreadful so I'd stay away from that. Overall i had a good time because of the company and the location but not the service or food.

E. C.Ordered the smothered steak- it was barely even covered let alone smothered. Sauce and cheese was almost invisible. I asked for extra sauce to be told by the waitress that's what it's supposed to be like. She then took my food away and eventually came back with a small pot of sauce.
False advertising to call it smothered.
I was with a party of 10 and other than one children's order being slightly wrong (chips instead of corn) all other meals were enjoyed.
Tried using blue light discount- this wasn't taken off the bill and when queried we were basically told it was too much effort to refund and we'd have to pay twice and wait for refund. No offer of anything in place of discount which was staff error.

K.We visited the Quays at Billing Aquadrome today, we walked in with a wide choice of tables so we soon found one that we liked, We had a look at the menu &found lots of things that we liked, so I went up to the bar and ordered starters&main courses , they came quickly,hot and tasty all courses, my abbott ale was spot on in everyway. We will defintely be returning for more meals. Excellent place

All the staff are friendly and accommodating. The pub also has a carvery and serves other food which is handy. Bar staff are lovely and very friendly. Great parking. Right next to a Premier Inn and a garage and a great Chinese Restaurant.

D. R.The decor inside this pub is very good. This makes a good atmostphere straight away. The place looks big inside, with lots of seating, and chairs are comfy. The beers are reasonably priced. The food prices are reasonable, and the carvery was good, plenty of meat, and lots of veg to chose from. The roast potatoes were hard this time round, the rest of the veg was good. Overall,,a good experience.

G.I like the renovation and the carvery bit, but wasn't impressed with the food. Place does need a good clean, lots of cobwebs on the curtains. Put me off a bit and made me question how higenic is the food making process... staff were friendly, would come back for a drink only
J. S.They now have a carvery which is great. The place does get pretty busy at times. The place boasts outdoor seating on a raised decking overlooking the lake. Upstairs is great for the kids with the indoor play area. There is a hotel next door which is also convenient.

M. B.We stopped off at the Quays on the way back from a weekend away. We were just looking for somewhere to get a Sunday lunch and the Quays was convenient to the main road. The pub was busy but we were able to get a table and help ourselves to the Carvery. The food was decent - not great but not bad either. To be fair the price is reasonable and to a degree you get what you pay for but it served us ok. The drinks were reasonable too and would certainly recommend for a quick lunch at a decent price.

J. F.I have been to this pub for 10 years or so. Young children like play area upstairs. Over years this pub has changed more in line of family restaurant.. Recently, now offering Carvery with good selection of meats and vegetables. Also good choice of beers and sweets to compliment. Overlooking Billing Aquadrome with lovely looks over lake and boating harbour. Nice decking area with outside seating. Exceptional staff, very good customer service. Nice young lad behind bar Jimmy James who is always polite, well groomed and professional. Great parking area with clean kerbside appeal....
S. C.Having eaten at other local pubs in the Fayre & Square chain, we had no unrealistic expectations about the service or quality of food to expect. There was a reasonable menu that covered most options for our three children, although extremely limited choice for my vegetarian wife. Some of my own meal was quite nice; however, the steak I ordered was inedible and I had to leave it, unfortunately, or I would have been chewing it into the early hours of the morning. Although cooked to my taste (rare), the meat itself was very poor quality, which explains why it was relatively inexpensive. You get what you pay for, but don't let this put you off if you're on a tight budget.
C. B.Beautiful little pub attached to a premier Inn. We'll priced and situated on the edge of the river so fab views too. Good was immaculate, the bacon and cheese burger is easily the best burger I have had to date

R. H.Had a mixed grill on the first night.. Was largely ignored by the staff in favour of regular, older patrons.
Mixed grill had overdone steak, underdone sausage and a raw pineapple on top, was not enjoyable at all.
However, i'd like to add a star as the fish and chips in my third nights stay was rather good, and by that point the staff had warmed up to this obvious non-local.
S. K.Good food but not what I went for. Wanted a carvery and although their menu says that weekend it's served all day, we got told that the last order for carvery stops at 8.30pm. So what they publish is slightly misleading. The weekday times are clear but the weekend ones are ambiguous to say the least and hence the reason why I've given it a mid star rating.
C. G.Haven't been for a while but decided to pop in and eat on the decking on a lovely evening. Staffing levels have always been poor here and tonight was no exception. Tables dirty , 25 degrees outside and they turned the ice machine off to clean it ?@$!? Surley when closed would have been better just a thought. Running out of glasses, no straws no table numbers for outside diners. Cant blame the staff directly generally inexperienced and left to make excuses for the failings. Shame it's a lovely venue and should be a premier place to eat locally.

Day two was also the same...we had table of 8, food was slow coming out think we were in there for around 2hrs! I would recommend and l will be going back...good job all round.

D. M.Understaffed at bar. Ignored by one member as she was discussing a chart with a customer? Waited for another member to finish serving tables before being served. Other member still dicussing chart? Pub very cold. Once ordered, the food was delivered reasonably quickly and to a fair quality. Staff must be more attentive to the customers, after all, no customers, no pub. Would think twice before visiting again and, if so, it would definately be in the summer when it will be more comfortable and warm.
L. M.This place saved our holiday!!! The Aquadome is a total and utter let down I have never been to a worse place to stay. If it wasn't for the staff and service here our holiday would have been ruined. All the staff are super friendly unlike the aquadome who have the worse customer services I have ever come across. The food is 100% better than the aquadome which really isn't hard to say but I come from a family is really hard to please and they were more than happy eating here, the food was cooked fresh and was served quickly. I haven't always had the best experiences with this type of restaurants but could easily give 10 out of 10 for the service here. Love it. Go here.
