The drink selection for both alcoholic and non alcoholics sells a good variety and plenty of seating, in and outdoors is comfortable with a kids park and a quiet area for eating and drinking. I didn't try the food but it definitely looked average/good. I'll go again 😊

Me and a friend come to the sunny side every week, since the new managers have taken over we have already saw an improvement with the food and are very pleased with each meal we have here. The staff team are fantastic and very helpful, I would definitely recommend the sunny side pub for food and drinks!!

Arrived on time we were shown to our table. Chose what we wanted went back to the bar and ordered and paid. Out of the six people only two wanted starters we particularly stated we wanted the starters to come out first not with the main course. I felt a thirty minute wait for two portions of breaded mushrooms was far too long and then we weren't even half way through the mushrooms when the main course arrived rather annoying when I had asked for the starters to be served as starters. As there were two vegans and a vegetarian so half the party we were very pleased with the choice available on the menu and the food itself was very nice. We would definitely return but the service could be improved.

Nice staff, food and good price for shots. Lovely place to spend quality time with your friends. You can play pool, darts or cards in here. Also, it's nice that you have a lot of spaces to park your car.

Nice sunny afternoon in the garden and will go again for that reason. The barman was efficient yet not a smile from any of the staff. For a pub to shout about forthcoming improvement, a welcoming friendly atmosphere is highly important and that's the responsibility of the management to set standards. Training and team talks.

I would love to give you a 5 star rating but unfortunately I can't. Whilst the staff were lovely and the food was good our anniversary meal was spoilt slightly by the table of middle aged older blokes who were sat near us who felt it appropriate to use the F word quite loudly very often, they were obviously regulars in the pub. It's not a working men's club it's a venue with children present so possibly a quite word by the staff might have been appropriate.

Went here for a work lunch and was very pleased with the Fish and chips. Tasted deliciously fresh and cooked to perfection. Generous portions, warm, friendly service, lot of parking, great atmosphere with indoor and outdoor seating. Bar service was a bit slow but that was due to lack of staff, the staff that was working was very helpful and polite, food came out in dribs and draps but very good when got it 👍 we were sat in children's area as we had our two grandchildren with us, at around 6 o,clock it seemed that children's was running around everywhere got very noisy and I'd say a bit wild so we left. Arrived around half 5 today and food came out quickly, Pasta Alfredo was delicious, Chicken Goujons were crispy, salad with the pasta was refreshing and light, and my cider was ice cold, best meal I've had there in a while. The bar staff Quinton, Jamie and Taylor were always there to help, very happy with Chef Dan and Arran's food aswell as Sophie's delivery, great bunch of people. The only thing that dissapoints me is that I can't give 6 stars!

The kid section at the back is very cute and I'm glad it's separated from the side with darts etc. Plus the cocktail selection is impressive for such a family friendly bar. Highly recommend stopping by for a beer or a burger (free deserts on Mondays fyi!)

Comfy, spacious, and well laid-out Pub with friendly and welcoming atmosphere, great helpful staff. Lovely food, prepared onsite and served piping-hot; besides Burgers, their Mains are nice as well. Great for family and Groups. Now (post-Covid), service might seem a bit slow (fewer bar-staff), but still acceptable; I suggest booking a table in advance if you're going with family/friends.

Excellent covid-19 guidelines, friendly staff, lovely area's to sit, very clean throughout all area's. We went for the let's do lunch menu, where you choose a value lunch and add on a starter or dessert for an extra £2, meaning we had two courses for lunch for £15 altogether, just a nice lunch size, nothing fancy, just good pub grub. We will be returning soon as a couple and with our family as well.

First time we've been in since it reopened, new rules are a pain but obviously need to be in place. They have a slightly limited menu but the food they have is a good balance. The food ,when it came, came quickly and was hot and plentiful. Hopefully the next time we go the menu will have expanded a bit more, apart from that, cannot fault anything.

Had an unforgettable, fun evening with my fellow batch mates 3 years ago. We were a group of 11 Indian girls visiting the University of Northampton on a study tour, and this pub was highly recommended. The food, drinks and ambience was great, and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. We were noisy and full of laughs, and felt very welcome in this pub. Thanks for a great evening!

We went as a very large party on a Sunday afternoon, they ended up getting the majority of our orders wrong or the food was stone cold or waffles still frozen. I've been eating here for year and have to say it's most probably at it's best now. Always seems busy and the menu has something for everyone I do think the kids meals are a little expensive compared to some other family pubs and a few times I've had to complain however they are always willing to apologize and sort whatever it may be. Cheap drinks which is good! Refills on cola and the ice cream section is worth a try! With the changing times of the world I would recommend that you have a wider range of food for gluten free and vegans because some people are diary free formefical reasons.

The recent refurbishment and take over from hungry horse to Generous George has improved everything from the decor to the food. The service was impeccable and staff were very friendly. The only problem I had was portion size. Like many people I do like to feel full after I have paid to eat out. I don't mean I need to be completely stuffed but it was one of those meals that when the food arrived everyone at the table looked at each other all thinking the same thing "is that it". The food quality was great but at the end of the day it is still a local pub restaurant and a slight increase in portion sizes of things like veg and chips would go a long way.

Been here twice since it has refurbished as 'Generous George'. The first time I went, the service was excellent, the staff were very polite and friendly, and I was seen to and had my food delivered in a very decent time. I was very impressed. Second time, was during the evening and I went for food. I was told the kitchens had closed, but there was no mention of any closing time on the menus. I went in at 9pm. Still, would recommend as it's lovely venue with a great selection of food and drink.

The place is nice and so the food unfortunately can't say the same about the staff. Very rude and unprofessional when is about to talk with customers. Yesterday we were at the table with 2y old boy and the waiter approached us, after seeing the little one playing with Halloween decorations, saying " can I have a word with you,?!? you need to respect the decorations otherwise you need to have your drinks somewhere else" . Ps the little one took 2 very very small spiders from the decorations and was going to bring them back before living. They claim to be a family friend pub but apparently is NOT!!!!

Standard chain pub grub served quickly by polite staff. The interior could do with a little love to spruce up the tired decor and sticky tables. What made the night was the pub quiz. A lot of thought had gone into this and I'm surprised it isn't better attended locally. So much more fun with an engaging host, the spot questions and the bingo style answer sheets. We'll be back when we take our daughter back to uni after a weekend again and maybe the locals will have forgiven us for winning on the quiz.

It's my local (gastro) pub and like going here when I can. Food is standard that you'd expect in typical places of this nature. In the summer its really nice to sit outside. There is a children's area to keep them occupied. Parking is free and plenty of spaces available. You don't normally see rough crowd here so you can easily bring family to this place. It's not near a highway so nice quite location. It's not near a scenic area so don't expect to be offset against beautiful landscape views. Think of a casual dining area where you'd go after work for a drink or a stop over before going to your evening night out.
