I had planned to meet friends for lunch, and needed somewhere that served food suited to me needing to follow a gluten and dairy free diet. The menu was clearly marked where the food was either gluten free or available to be made gluten free. Most unusually, I had a choice! I decided on the GF fish and chips. They did not disappoint. All of the meals were very good and the service excellent. We will return!

Just had to write a review for Stuart and Sarah since our experience with this pub was one of the best ever. Service was so good, helpful and friendly. Food is really the best tasting cooked to perfection-especially the steaks, and personal service. We can only say we will definitely be back! Well done for a lovely clean pub with incredible food.

We ate lunch at the Griffin on Wednesday and the food was just wonderful. Not only delicious (even if rather more than we could eat!) but very good value too. The cook has a passion about food and it absolutely comes through in the dishes. Great selection of wines too.
The pub interior has not had the inevitable "makeover" ,but don't let that put you off. The service was really friendly and they went out of their way to make us feel welcome.
The food here really is a cut above the inevitable berger/fish and chips/ pub food/menu on offer in many places and we will be visiting again when I am in Northamptonshire.

Very friendly and welcoming pub. Visited during a Wednesday lunchtime.
Good selection of beers. Great lunchtime food, evening and Sunday menu looked good.
Great staff, nothing too much trouble. Recommend.

Huge portions. Had chips, egg and ham, chips were awesome. Service was ok but then the restaurant was empty, on a Friday as well. Cheesecake had the wrong texture, it was too hard set and you couldn't taste the cheese, far too sweet. But I'd go back again.

When every aspect of a visit is spot on, you know that you'll be back.
Great, friendly service, really good steaks, and a cosy atmosphere - yet big, well spaced apart tables.
And the crazy thing is that people still go to a Miller & Carter! Wake up and support small businesses like the Griffin Inn - you won't regret it, and they will be grateful that you did.
