P. P.We were fitted in on a Saturday night despite only calling up about 20min before we arrived.
Staff were rushed off their feet but we're still polite and helpful.
You can use the Green King app here to order or go to the bar. They also did table service which I thought was good.
The food was nice and the have plenty of parking on site so no need to walk to far.
Wheelchair access is available and spaces for these can be found.
Book in advance if you can to ensure you get a table.
J. T.I hadn't been in here for 20 years and met up with family for a meal. It was cheap, exceptionally quiet for a Saturday night by 9.30 our group was the only one left. Cleanliness left a lot to be desired the toilets stank, the cleaning rota on the wall was dated 5 days previously and we had ants on the table, not many but more than was acceptable for an indoor restaurant. Would I go back probably not.

L. F.Loved it! Very good value for money! I went to The Lumbertubs just over a week ago to celebrate my auntie getting married! We had a great time at Lumbertubs and really enjoyed the food. I had the steak fajitas and my auntie had the charcoal chicken. We also drank many bottles of prosecco! All the food and drink tasted great and the price was excellent value! Great service from all staff. Definitely recommend!

B. R.First time in this pub since 1968. Excellent welcome. Friendly chat with staff. We were late for Sunday lunch but settled for a steak and pepper sauce. Apple pie and custard for afters. Well cooked very tasty. Having just moved back to the area after many years. Happy to make it our local.

C. G.My friend, my goddaughter and myself had a fantastic meal here today my goddaughter and myself had the mac n cheese. I've got to say it was to die for. The best man cheese I've ever had. My freind had a steak and as usual it was cooked to perfection. Our server was Sam, a lovely lady, she made sure everything was okay with our meal. As usual I cannot fault the food or the staff. Thank you Lumbertubs. We are looking forward to our next meal with you.

C. P.Menus available as you walk in. Option to order via app or table service. Arrived as they opened for lunch for pre booked table, service was on the slow side for this type of pub. Had a large gluten free menu but unfortunately a lot was unavailable. Food was as expected and ideal for a quick lunch. It took about 2 hours which would be too long if you were hoping to eat in a lunch break. A lot of parking out the back has been turned into tables - unfortunately this includes all the disabled spaces and no alternative has been arranged. Overall a nice lunch.

C.Great place to eat with a lot of friends or family, as it is a big restaurant, and it is well spaced out between the tables and the bar, so it is a very spacious restaurant, which is also very good in the covid situation. The food itself has a very high standard and is consistently tasty and well-cooked when I visit. The only downside for me is the location and car park. It is an awkward place to put a restaurant (around a busy roundabout) and I feel that the car park is too small. However, the restaurant it self is very good, and I recommend it if you are having dinner out with several people in particular, however it is still a great place to go with just 1 or 2. Great restaurant 👍

C. F.Nice atmosphere and menu good. Appeared to be short staffed so had a long wait for food to be delivered to table. We ordered the steak and ale pie. The filling was lovely, the steak very tender. The pie was well filled, but the pastry was inedible, hard and thick. We would come back, but would avoid the pies!

Must say the staff in the front line very good . do feel there is too much food cramed on small skillet need a larger plate too display food... did not finish my review,as with the help from staff did feel they were accommodating. And did not want too criticized. Would eat there again.. life is difficult for everyone

A. W.We went to the pub this afternoon for a planned sit down Christmas meal as part of a stroke support group, and there were 60 of us with everyone’s friends and family. The food was piping hot and delicious, and was extremely well organised considering we were such a large party. I couldn’t fault any of the staff- very lovely and helpful and very quick to attend to our needs. Everyone worked so hard to make the meal/ event so lovely and want to thank all the staff for all their efforts

M. D.The pub is in good condition. Staff were very friendly and helpful. I ordered the ‘pub on a platter’ challenge which was very nice. It had 2 half racks of bbq pork ribs, 4 chicken wings, XL flame grilled cheese and bacon burger, an onion ring stacker, served with coleslaw, corn on the cob and an extra large portion of chips.
I did not complete the challenge 🙂.
The drinks and food was very reasonably priced. One of the toilets was out of order and just had a chair in front of the door-which I thought was disappointing.
There is also a nice play area for children at this pub. Parking is available at the front entrance of the pub and there is a carpark at the back of the pub. Overall I would recommend a visit.
J. R.Love it here! Go to place when out with friends or need a quick bite before a night out. Its a lovely pub with amazing service, gorgeous food and amazing staff! Its always well cleaned and kept tidy. I go at least once a month and always want to go back. The fact that it is on four bus routes is also really handy
J. R.Great food. Good atmosphere. Very cozy little pub. Has a good outdoor play area for children and tables for outsides eating also. Not overly expensive. Toilets not very up to date but has a disabled toilets with baby change too. Have highchairs available. Staff friendly. Quick service.
L.Lovely building, quite a lot of seating on offer and a great atmosphere too. The food was fantastic as per usual, this was our first time eating at this location but have dined at many Flaming Grills before and had the same experiences.
As for pricing you really can't go wrong here as I do feel you get what you want for the value. The staff were very welcoming and helpful and there was only about 30 mins wait for the food and it was quite busy.
All in all a great place to eat, it's warm and welcoming and gorgeous food! I'll definitely be visiting again sometime soon hopefully!

There was a 40 minute wait for our food which we were ok with but the chicken when came it was Not Nice, texture and taste was just wrong...

J. H.Lumbertubs has been open for probably as long as i've been on this Earth. In that time Lumbertubs has changed hands in terms of the company running it countless times. Upon my first visit in 10+ years to this pub, i was quite happy with the aethetic of the pub with a well deserved facelift and modern looking setting. The food menu is quite sizeable with a large variety of different foods available. I decided to play it safe with the BBQ chicken Baguette and it was... okay. It met the definition of what i ordered but there was no wow factor. Bit a shame but i'm sure if i had something else i would be giving the missing star. Perhaps next time!
