Family Pub..I had a Great time Disabled Friendly...all Age Pensioners Friendly...
k. w. (.
Called in on way back home. Looked a bit unloved from outside, car park needs tidying but wait until you step inside.
A friendly welcoming atmosphere, lovely lady behind the bar.....
Ordering food from the other side of the room was a bit odd, and calling our drink order out across to the bar was bizarre.
Early days for the food "Micks Cafe", plain simple meals but plenty on the plate... Well presented, served efficiently with a smile.
The only thing was we couldn't get a pudding as food had stopped being served when we were ready to order ... Perhaps. If we had been told we may have ordered all at the same time...
Live music started at 3.00pm... Not overly loud we could still have a conversation without shouting...
Anyone visiting to play bowls at Kingsthorpe Bowls Club, keep your eyes out for this place....
I am so glad I stuck to my choice of pub. "Never judge a book by its cover"

We had a wake here today, the room was really clean well laid out
They catered a cold buffet for 100 people, very nicely prepared and of good quality. The bar staff were very friendly and cheerful. Would hold a family event here again. Well done

We had a wake yesterday after funeral. They looked after us really well. Plenty of good quality food, tea and coffee. Recomend them. The whole family were pleased.

Last time I went here was years ago and it was pretty tired. Now the new decoration is very nice, for the price the food surpassed our expectations and the staff were really friendly. Good luck to the team there I hope that they are successful following the relaunch as the Five Bells.

Went for roast dinner and was beautiful, the staff were polite and cheery, joined in conversation, the food was incredible and I cannot reccomend the orange chocolate cake enough! Would definitely go again

The Frog and Fiddler is a great pub to enjoy a lively atmosphere and great service in. Serving food until 5pm Tuesday - Sunday. As well as being host to a great atmosphere there are alcoves set back from the bar if you are wanting a quitter evening or to enjoy a meal with family and friends. Children are welcome in the pub. There is also a Pool Table, Darts Board, and Skittle Table for your enjoyment too. There is a private function room available to hire for all sorts of special occasions.
There is a car park and this is monitored by parking eye, which means when you drive in and out of the car park your number plate is captured on camera. Please take notice of the signs and make sure you pay at the parking meters, if you are coming into the pub to enjoy a drink or meal then the ticket can be redeemed against your purchases, so please make sure that you put enough time on your ticket.

First visit on Monday nite, new quiz, great fun, quiz done using you phone or pad, so no cheating!! Food looks good, but haven't tried any yet.

First time we've been in for a long while. Enjoyed the atmosphere and the Strawberry and Rhubarb Somerby's Cider was quite morish. Only down fall was the toilets ( no toilet roll and poor lighting).

Strange atmosphere and visit. Not unpleasant, but left me wondering what just happened. Friendly staff and reasonable food from the carvery, again though some odd dishes on offer with the usual fair.

By far the BEST CARVERY IN TOWN!! Knocks spots off Toby by a COUNTRY MILE. Chef is a real nice guy too. Definitely going back.

Refurbished, and reopened as a carvery - other menu choices if you don't want the carvery. A bit industrial in look, and not very homely, but very popular.
