Great pizzas and especially on a monday/tuesday where they are BOGOF! You can tell they have a proper pizza oven. Massively improved from what it was a couple of years ago, much more outside seating, a classic gorgeous looking local pub.

Didnt realise that we were late for food. But the staff were amazing and still went ahead with the order. So glad they did as it was absolutely fantastic! Well worth a visit whether it's just a quick one or for nice relaxed few hours, you'll definitely be made to feel very welcome.

Update, as at Friday, 7th June, 2019 Called into this pub to see about some lunch. Now under new management - not currently doing food. Did not stay. - This review is from a number of years ago. This is a great local pub. The beer is good; the food is good; the decor and atmosphere are good too. The staff do actually seem to know something about beer - which is nice!

Such a nice pub, wish there was more seating it the garden.. I opted for the bench covered in bugs but the kids couldnt handle it :D Always good beer, food good too but busy because its good. Just wish i lived closer. Worth travelling to for good beer.

Traditional, quality, ales and atmosphere. Saloon and lounge bars with satellite TV and some sofas for a more relaxed experience. I enjoyed a great evening out with a couple of friends and we will definitely return...

I have been comming in this lovely old pub for many years. It has a great atmosphere especially when the rugby is on as they show live games on a big screen.Always a good range of well kept real ales good home cooked food .

Nice local pub who have recently started doing a steak on a Monday. Well worth the visit. The range of beers is brilliant and they are kept really well.

Went for Sunday lunch which was absolutely brilliant. Loads of veg choice and the beef was very tender. Highly reccomend. I do find the beer prices a bit steep but otherwise it's a great pub

Hidden gem with 8 real ales including Hop Back Summer Lightning and Great Oakley Wots Occurring. Worth finding in old Kingsthorpe with good car parking and outdoor seating front/back. One of the best pubs in Northampton.

Please watch out for companies like Epos now charging yearly fees and the back office is not industry standard.
